Leading Broadband Service Provider in India Selects SupportSoft to Automate DSL Installation and Customer Service
Tuesday November 8, 8:05 am ET
SupportSoft Extends Broadband Solutions' Reach to India with Bharti Tele-Ventures, Ltd.

TelcoTV Conference and Expo, SAN DIEGO, Nov. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SupportSoft, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPRT - News), a leading provider of Real-Time Service Management (RTSM(TM)) software, today announced that Bharti Tele-Ventures Limited, India's leading telecommunications conglomerate, has selected SupportSoft SmartAccess(TM) and SupportSoft Service Automation Suite(TM) software to automate broadband installation and ongoing support for its broadband customers. Bharti is a leading broadband service provider in India providing services under the brand name Airtel.

By using SupportSoft SmartAccess, Bharti can automatically determine if a customer's computing system qualifies for a high-speed connection and enable the customer to self-install their broadband Internet service. With SmartAccess, Bharti can reduce time consuming, costly household installations by Bharti service technicians and lengthy subscriber calls to customer service representatives for assistance. Through use of the software, Bharti can transition from assisted installation for all broadband subscribers to nearly 100% subscriber self-installation.

The Service Automation Suite can also enable Bharti to further enhance the identification and resolution of customer problems related to their broadband connections. Problem resolution is streamlined through the software's ability to automatically gather intelligence about the subscriber's system and related issue. The SupportSoft Service Automation Suite can help Bharti expand its service offerings on broadband while also reducing operating costs and further enhancing customer service delivery levels.

According to Mr. Badri Agarwal, President Infotel, Bharti Tele-Ventures Limited, "As broadband adoption grows in India, we need solutions that can help Bharti rapidly scale to meet customer demand yet keep our operational costs in check. By deploying the SupportSoft software, we will be able to further customize our services and enhance the customer's broadband experience."

In 2004, the Indian government set a target of establishing 40 million Internet connections, including 20 million broadband connections, by March 2010.

"Bharti's selection of SupportSoft is a milestone for Indian broadband subscribers, who will soon be able to benefit from SupportSoft service automation software, currently being used by digital service providers around the globe which serve more than 32 million high speed data customers," said Radha Basu, chairman and CEO of SupportSoft. "It is also another milestone for SupportSoft's presence in India, where we have expanded our Bangalore R&D operation into a full-fledged business center for all of our activities in South Asia."

Momentum Plays
Head-And-Shoulder Formation For SPRT

For Wednesday, September 27, 2006 : One would assume more stocks would gather momentum on a day like today as the indexes broke out to new highs, but it was not the case today, I suspect it was a result of lagging stocks making up most of the gain.

It is clear to me Wall Street is giving it its best to push DJ-30 over the top made more than six years ago, we should continue to look for performance in big cap and mega cap names, small and micro caps will probably take a back seat in the next couple of weeks. But then we will probably still not find many big caps on our list because it is difficult for them to gain momentum in the first place due to their size if nothing else.

SPRT from today's short list was up 4%, not much for a micro cap, but on its daily chart today's action resembled a breakout of a head and shoulder bottom formation, unfortunately its volume seemed small.

I would not be surprised to see it pull back a bit in the next couple of sessions, the $4 level should hold because this is where market maker has been accumulating shares since mid August according to my tick by tick analysis.

SPRT does not qualify as a growth stock by any standard based on its recent financials, but it has more than $120 million on hand which translates to about $2.75 per share with no debt.
