No takers on the OR08-4 presentation?

If IGFBP-3 "holds" humanin for delivery...Alzheimer's

Therefore: a lot of interesting news: as you can see the Alzheimer stuff is still in mice tests just like the Herceptin/BP3 Breastcancer tests discussed here a couple of months ago. But again it's a sign of the possibilities INSMEDs product portfolio brings.
Also: nice to see that INSMED is exhibiting between big guns in pharma, it's a recognition of the eminent work done by INSM in the field.

Id,

I would wait for the CCI to give a buy signal first before considering it.  All in all INSM still has a bearish tone and a lot of uncertainty in the air.  I am waiting for INSM to show me something positive, rather than try and pick a bottom for now.

ScottishTrader

Id,

I like it, Volume is always a very good sign of something cooking.  A close above 1.36 would suggest INSM is finally ready to break out.  As we all know, any number of news related factors could propel this one significantly upward.

I may look to enter a position on Monday.

Cheers for keeping the INSM thread on the boil!

ScottishTrader

INSM is on fire and I like it!!!

Has broken out of the recent falling wedge and has got above 1.47-1.48 resistance.  A close above here would bode very well.  I am not sure whether this is related to the trial or what, but I like it and am back in.  Averaged in at 1.45.  First target, 1.60.

ScottishTrader

Not such a great close, at 1.46, INSM couldn't hold onto its earlier gains.  However, 1.50 was broken and I think we will be back there shortly, and the long term chart suggests 1.45 should be support.  Upcoming resistance at 1.54-55, and 1.65.  Volume is still very solid, above 3m, I think she finally wants to move.  Really any news pending the trial could kick this one off, and the 1 yr chart shows clear potential.

INSM can be volatile, so I will go with a 1.29 stop for now, just below the upper trendline of the flag and the 50SMA.  This quite a bit of risk for this trade, so I will look to move it up if we get support confirmation at 1.35 or 1.40.  The flag breakout puts a target of 1.70 in play.

Here is a 1 yr semi-log chart:

ScottishTrader

INSM update:

Following the breakout of the recent falling wedge pattern, INSM rallied up to the pattern resistance at 1.54 and has pulled back the last couple of days, also tagging 1.35, confirming this level as support within the current move.  Fridays candle suggest some indecision in the market on INSM, but the falling wedge target of 1.70 is still in play provided the pattern brekout level holds at 1.34.  Looking at the 30 minute chart, there is also a recent ascending trendline forming with 3 tags, that may support further advances.  Volume in the last 2 weeks is also up significantly, with big volume on the up moves and low volume on the pullbacks, which is provides encouragment that INSM has legs to go further.

I'm beginning to think that INSM is potentially a very high risk play right now, as pretty much everything hinges on what happens in the patent infringement case.  From what I have read, it appears that INSM has a fairly strong chance on winning at least some of the patent issues - whether they will come out with a clean sheet remains to be seen.  In any case, I am trying to be more risk averse in my trading, so I may sell a portion of my position if I can get a price above 1.45 in the next day or 2, simply to limit the risk.  The stop for my position will be set at 1.33, giving me just over 8% risk on the trade, barring any gap down.  the chart looks quite positive right now, but with heavily news driven stocks like this (and we know what bad news does), anything can happen.

ScottishTrader

Big move for INSM today, 1.70 falling wedge target MADE.  Looks good - it seems this must be related to expectations surroundinga positive resolution of the trial.  I'm holding my position for now.
