Update:
DIVX had another advance into new historical highs, performing also an historical high close at $28.99 ;)
Once again, I'm not sure what DIVX reserve us for the short term, maybe another consolidation move, maybe a powerful breakout to the $30's, maybe a correction to the $25 support... But I keep my extremely bullish expectations on this position.
No mater what DIVX is reserving for us on the short term, I have a « Moët Chandon» Champagne bottle ready to pop if I see $30 printed on my screen ;)  >:D >:D

Trading Plan:
Hold DIVX

It won't see 30 if it can't break through 29.40.  Building up pretty big resistance there.  Spent a while just below it for the previous high (29.50) and has hit it 4 times today.  Think it will drop a bit again before it gets too much above 29.50... thinking about selling and buying back around 26.50.

Well DIVX just proved me wrong and broke 29.40 after no volume for about 10 minutes.  29.50 and then to 30 today anyone?

Well turns out I may be right after all... We'll see where DIVX falls to.  I got out today at 29.30... a bit below the 29.50 level it hovered around for a little while today but still fairly high.  I'll look to re-enter sometime soon for a push back to 30 bucks.

Update:
I guess the «Moët Chandon» must stay on the fridge for a bit while longer...
DIVX started another consolidation movement after hitting the $29.50 resistance a few times.
Since we've bought DIVX, we've already watched a few of this consolidation processes, so I'm really not sure what to expect here, DIVX has a support at $26.74 and another one near $25, we are just going to hold it, as we have a «Moët Chandon» bottle on the fridge waiting to be opened when DIVX prints $30 on the tape.

Trading Plan:
Hold DIVX

Update:
Another corrective session for DIVX, I have nothing special to comment at this point... This is just normal behaviour after the huge run on DIVX share since the IPO, we can watch some more consolidation or maybe even a bigger sell to $25/$26, and that will be just normal. We won't do a thing, as we just don't want to loss our position on DIVX at this point, the stock can drop for short term technical motivations, but at any moment we could see another big white candle into the $30's...
The plan is the same:

Hold DIVX

Update:
DIVX was down for a 5th session in a role, but staying above the last relative low, closing above $26.50 that looks like the short term support level.
I'm expecting DIVX to turn around to the upside soon, but still I wouldn't be surprised with a bit more downside to the $25.50 area, nevertheless, we'll be holding it:

Trading Plan:
Hold DIVX

Wasn't able to post that I bought more on Monday.

27 shares @ 26.95.  Guess I could've gotten in lower but thought the low range was going to be between 26.50 and 27.00 and I didn't want to miss out if it broke out quickly (like it has several times in the past).  Not a huge position but all the cash I had left in my account so I'm again fully invested.  Good luck everyone!

Update:
DIVX was up again after trading below the $26.50 support zone. The chart looks solid, even if we don't have much history to plot yet...

Some members emailed me questions about DIVX's «licensing» revenues, asking if DIVX would only profit a one time licensing fee per manufacturer ?
The answer can be found right there on the 10Q Form:
Over 50 million DivX Certified hardware devices have been shipped worldwide through September 30, 2006. Our customers include major consumer video hardware original equipment manufacturers such as Philips and Samsung. We are entitled to receive a royalty for each DivX Certified device that our customers ship. In addition to technology licensing to consumer hardware device manufacturers, we currently generate revenue from software licensing, advertising and content distribution.

Trading Plan:
Hold DIVX

Update:
Another nice looking white candle for DIVX ;)
Nothing to update here, as we expect it to break the $30 barrier at any moment after the current consolidation range.

Hold DIVX

Update:
DIVX was down, like most stocks today  :-\
The Nasdaq chart may be setting up a short term correction at this point, in order to consolidate the gains achieved during this rally. A setup like this will most likely put a break on DIVX too, but we'll be holding it for now.

Trading Plan:
Hold DIVX
