I got in this about two weeks ago.  Very bullish and keeps heading north.   May expect a small pullback, but overall, I think this company is worth its weight in Gold (no pun intended).

This chart looks like there's no end on GV. The volume the last month or two speaks for its self. I might be a buyer come Monday.  ;D

Hmm J.B, this looks special.
Do you think it will continue to steadily rise as it has been over the last couple of months? What price potential can be expected from this stock?

Glad u noticed this one J.B. :)
thanks very much,

julia

JMoney

You can expect this stock to keep rising. What I would do would be to put a 8% stop loss on this stock and just go from there.  :)

Hi J.B,

I would love to take ur advice and seriously consider buying GV as it does look like its unwavering in its determination to move higher...but, i need to sell something...hopefully at a profit, but all of my stocks are seeing red right now.
But, if i do get some funds soon, I may just grab me some GV.

thanks for your advice,

julia :)

Goldfield Comments on Storm Restoration Activities
MELBOURNE, Fla., August 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --

The Goldfield Corporation (Amex: GV), a leading provider of electrical construction services in the southeastern United States, today commented on its involvement in storm restoration efforts relating to the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. John Sottile, president of Goldfield, stated that since Hurricane Katrina hit the east coast of Florida on August 26th, most of the work force at the company's electrical construction subsidiary, Southeast Power Corporation, has been dedicated to storm restoration efforts in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, Florida. This work is expected to be concluded shortly. Mr. Sottile noted that at this time, it is unclear whether or to what extent Southeast Power will be involved in further restoration efforts on the Gulf Coast relating to Hurricane Katrina. Such involvement will depend upon the demand for its services and the availability of resources in light of existing commitments. Mr. Sottile further noted that the effect of the restoration efforts on Southeast Power's results cannot be gauged at this point.

I like the way this one has turned it's indicators back north.
Helping out in gulf coast.
They had huge backlog from hurricane before Katrina.                                                      Speculation drove it from 1 to 1.60 in 4 days.
Then company released a PR saying not helping currently cause backlog was so big.
Hinting at end of PR, we cannot gauge future demand for our products.
I think it has room to run, low float 25M outstanding shares! can move in a hurry, plus insider bought last month.

Goldfield to Assist in New Orleans Storm Restoration Effort
Thursday September 29, 4:50 pm ET

MELBOURNE, Fla., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Goldfield Corporation (Amex: GV - News), a leading provider of electrical construction services in the southeastern United States, today commented further on its involvement in storm restoration activities.

Goldfield today announced that Southeast Power, Goldfield's electrical construction subsidiary, has been selected to assist in the identification and removal of electrical hazards to permit clearing operations to be performed safely, primarily in Orleans Parish, Louisiana, in the wake of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Southeast Power expects to divert a portion of its field workforce from Florida to Louisiana to service this project.

John Sottile, President of Goldfield, said, "Goldfield is proud to help on this very important assignment" and that "as a matter of civic responsibility, certain of its existing Florida customers had agreed to temporarily free up some of the Southeast Power's workforce as the Gulf Coast struggles to recover from one of the worst natural disasters in US history."

Goldfield reiterated its previous announcement that it is impossible to gauge how long this special demand for services will continue or its effect on financial results.

Check the 15 min chart (sorry, just got into these today) - looks like it flattened a bit at the end of the day.  Watch for a double top at 1.09, but if it goes above there, it should run.  Crucial first support for the rally is at 1.03.
