Great Pick! I entered this morning at $2.73 / share.. never expected such a rapid rise..

Dory99

Nice entry Dory, my entry was based on the reversal seeming to have fully confirmed on the ascending trendline (multiple touches) after previous small reversals failed in the pullback phase. Looks like todays volume and movement confirms.

Moving my stop to $2.68 (volume backed intraday pierce or close) also being just below the low of todays candle and around 1.25x ATR (basically quite safe unless we get a failure of this days candle / action).

Finally looks like 50sma will cross 20osma on Monday which is another confirmatory tick in the box.

Hey Setravis, only just realised you have an MVIS thread on the go, great stuff. I won't start a new one  ;)

I entered MVIS today $2.75. I am trading MVIS using my STEPS rules. http://www.3stocksonfire.org/trading/index.php?topic=7595.0

I sure do Aussie, have MVIS (a thread on the go),  :P
If you would have started a new one ,"I would have just had to merge it!" ;D ;)
I have been reading your thread every "STEP" of the way. Great stuff down under  :D
Keep up the great work there !..........Applaud  8)

MVIS had a look at the breakout area on Monday, but got sent back from the $3.25 resistance zone. This trade is pretty much risk free (barring catastrophe news or something) as my stop sits just below entry, so I'll leave as is for now after all I only opened a position in Friday and nothing new has developed to change my entry reasons.

Good Luck

A low volume indecisive support testing day, which most significantly for me closed above $3 again. Also we got that golden 50 / 200 cross.

I am still expecting upward movement from here. I am not changing my plan as yet.

Microvision initiated with "buy"

MDB Capital Group

NEW YORK, December 11 (newratings.com) - In a research note published on December 8, analysts at MDB Capital Group initiate coverage of Microvision Inc (MVIS.NAS) with a "buy" rating.
The target price is set to $6.

Again an indecisive day with a >$3 close. $3.25 is indeed a tough line to crack. The more it gets hit the stronger it will get. So need to watch potential failure there carefully. I am moving my protective stop to my entry price $2.75 (volume backed intraday pierce or close below).

Otherwise no change to plan. Still expecting upwards movement through resistance.

News Today:

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 2006--Microvision (Nasdaq:MVIS), the
global leader in light scanning technologies for display and imaging products,
announced today that it has entered into a joint development agreement with a
second leading manufacturing partner. Similar to the development agreement
announced in November 2006, this agreement focuses on development of high-volume
design for manufacturing of Microvision's proprietary Integrated Photonics
Module (IPM(TM)), a tiny display engine suitable for a variety of
display applications, including ultra-miniature laser projectors for
mobile phones.

Under the agreement, the parties will cooperate to optimize Microvision's IPM
designs for high-volume manufacturing. For confidentiality reasons, the name of
the manufacturer and other terms of the agreement were withheld. Potential
applications for the IPM platform include ultra-miniature laser projectors for
embedded or accessory solutions for mobile phones, personal media players,
laptops and DVD players. Additional applications include lightweight
color eyewear and heads-up displays for automobiles and airplanes.
Target customers are major consumer electronics OEMs and large tier 1 automotive
integrators.

"We are very excited to be engaged with a second global design and manufacturing
partner which brings a unique high-volume optical components development and
manufacturing expertise for optimization of Microvision's new proprietary IPM
technology," said Alexander Tokman, President and CEO of Microvision. "This
agreement positions Microvision well to execute on our commercialization roadmap
to bring IPM-based products to market with the right levels of
performance, quality and cost for high-volume consumer and automotive
applications.

"To be successful long term, it is important to have at least two reliable
sources of development and potential supply for our display engine because we
intend to serve several large commercial markets with multiple prospective
global OEMs."

Thanks for that Oliver, in fact the SMA golden cross happened a few sessions back, now the EMA cross just for good measure.

$3.25 is indeed a tough line to crack. The more it gets hit the stronger it will get. So need to watch potential failure there carefully.

MVIS is getting squeezed up against that $3.25 resistance each day, whilst I am still looking for upwards break I am getting more mindful to failure there. So I am moving my stop to a volume backed penetration of or close below $3.00.

I closed out my MVIS position a few sessions back following the break of $3.00. I have it on watch for $3.25 breakout on volume.
