Hi - Let's try not to waste David's time with stocks that are not within the scope of the portfolio.  ADM and ICE are both multi billion MC companies, and ADM for one, is definitely not on fire today.  I suggest we all reread the FAQ and suggest stocks that fit the criteria!

We're going for short term explosions here from small cap companies!

GLTA

You know you may be right but ADM was on fire yesterday and maybe by putting some of these stocks out here, they could be put to use in the main portfolio. ICE has more than doubled in 6 months with no signs on stopping and would be awesome for the main portfolio but it is also expensive too but he could just ignore it. I really don't care. Just takes seconds to ignore someones post and could have been just as easy for you to do the same. I have owned ICE since June 06 and I am not complaining in the least. Holding this sucker long term. If this hasn't been on fire, I don't know what has.

Hi Lance - Didn't mean to get you riled up there, but me being able to ignore the post or not isn't the point.  I know David will be more than happy to spend his time with your requests, but since they don't fit in this portfolio, we're essentially wasting his time that could be spent on more...fitting companies.

I didn't mean to single you out either, there have been a multitude of requests everyday that are not quite what we're looking for, and I just wanted to point this out.

However, I still don't think we should mix ICE with FIRE  ;D

David would you like to look into MVIS potential?

I covered MWIS.OB on the 26th of January, when it was at $0.27, here's my take on it:

MWIS.OB 3 minute look:

http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=-5062009513515312685&hl=en

A lot of hype due to the deal with The Sun from England, but they already had a similar deal with the Times and only generated $499 K in revenues over the 3th quarter, so I don't think the news can support the current $34 M market cap for long.

Anyway, awesome trade for boatguy, good luck :)

HGR is doing great today!! Dave, would you buy it again?

I probably should have bought it to the Main, but I don't fully understand the business model (I don't even know what "limb" means, let me see on the dictionary ... ok, now I know).

I like the stock, both from a technical and fundamental perspective, but I'm not buying it today to the 3 Stocks on Fire Portfolio. Volume is too weak for the magnitude of the move. But I'm pretty positive it will continue to trend higher over time, I just know if it won't pause for a couple of weeks around current levels.

Good luck :)

Sorry MVIS or MWIS?

Good point cramer, didn't get that symbol right :P

Let me put MVIS on the list, thanks :)

We're half way into the session and I made comments on 15 stocks so far: AMKR, SCUR, UDTT, HAYZ, IBIN, CLDN, ADM, TGX, RFSS, HRBN, COGO, LMRA, ZICA, MWIS and HGR.

I still have ONEV.OB, BRLC, AVZA, RSFF, SIMO and MVIS on my list.

From these the only one I'm considering is AVZA. But I wonder if there isn't a better bet outthere to buy today.

Let's spend the next two hours looking for stocks on fire, ok?

A stock on fire is:

- The market cap needs to be less than $500 M. Probably the smaller, the better
- Volume must be above the recent average (and above $500 K traded today)
- It must be showing a white candle, that is, must be trading above the opening level, telling us demand is outstripping supply
- It should be up at least 5%

So, here's what we're going to do. Just bring me symbols that meet these conditions for the next two hours. I won't cover them, will just look at them for myself, and will probably buy one of those. I'll make a full analysis for that one.

I want to buy 1 stock on fire today, thanks for your participation :)

Just ran David's criteria through one of my scans and the only two coming up are EVCC and ZAAP.  I know EVCC has lousy fundies ..  not sure about ZAAP.

Thanks cramercramer. What is p&d?

I look for attractive fundamentals, not just technicals, because I don't like to lose money, being one of the last ones to buy, when people are already starting to dig the fundamental landscape and wondering if they shouldn't sell.

Here's how I see the stock's speculation game. A stock rallies. Cowboys go after it. And then calculus are made. If the calculus supports the move, it will move more. If not, it will fall back. Doing those calculus puts me in advantage when compared to the pure technical player, because he's just following momentum, but that keeps changing, even on an intraday basis, so he gets totally confused. Sometimes he wins, sometimes he loses. On balance, I don't think he makes any money, because he's just doing what everybody else is doing, but he doesn't know why, so he has weakest hands.

Anyway, let's look for stocks on fire ;)
