Still holding here, waiting for the big jump! ;)

Had some extra time so took the same chart as before and added a Fib retracement. Was actually surprised to see how strong the support was at 38.2%. Assuming we can get above the 50% mark (1.24, today's high), it looks like it won't take long to get to 1.30.

Anyway, just food for thought.

The Fib resistance hath been broken! next step is to break 1.30 and then we're good to 1.38.

Level II seems to be indicating a great deal of buying interest/support today. Might be a nice run up to earnings from here.

Stay warm; 6" of snow on the ground here this morning!

BFLY sent an email out to their investor list today that earnings are tentatively scheduled for Feb. 28th. Stock popped about 7% on the news.

nutsterrt

I was curious...who here will or will not be holding BFLY through this Wednesday's earnigs announcement?

Se7en

I will hold, just like David!  :)

I have held this a long time and now have been waiting for this date to come. Strong hands and a realcoolhead will allow me to hold this stock. Or unless David's analysis dictates something else that was not technically or fundamentally seen before.

Hm, what do you think of it, at first sight looks good to me!  ::)

I'm pleased with the net revenue, margins, increased order size, and all that jazz. They are still spending a good chunk of cash on advertising, and I personally don't like the stock-based compensation all that much. But, I, and I'm assuming many others, will be listening to the CC to get an idea regarding the guidance.

EDIT: In case anyone else was interested in listening to the call and didn't know where to venture (you'll need to cut and paste)...

EDIT again: For those unable to listen to the call, it'll be archived, but I'm going to take some rather brief notes and hope to post them this evening.

nutsterrt

Well, here are a few of the quick notes I got out of the call:

-Spring off to a good start. Compared to this time last year:
Men's tees +140%
Women's accessories +55%
Sunglasses (lower margin item) +73%

-Advertising will be increasing 19% in 2007 to $15MM
-Customer number increased 65K, +20% YOY
-Net order revenue currently $55/order before marketing and overhead
-New web version will be introduced later in the year
-Costs have been reduced due to acceptance of Google Checkout (I missed exact number)
-Still has ZERO debt
-Reduced net share units (I assume this is shares/options) by 695K as a result of previously-filed stock plan
-Expected FY2007 gross margins 38-40%
-Cash from operations increased $4.4MM in Q4 2006
-CEO mentioned that they were to move sufficient cold weather product as a result of being an Internet-based store front; had inventory when weather eventually turned
-CEO confident in inventories for Spring, and confident in Spring outlook

If anyone has anything to add, please do.

Nothing guaranteed; just my best-effort to catch as much stuff as I could that wasn't already included in the PR.

HANDBALLJIM

I emailed the link to the earnings news release to someone I do business with...he is a financial advisor who's job is managing some wealth investors portfolios.

My email to him was:
What is your opinion on these earnings? I think their
website is nice and they have a great niche market.
http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/070228/20070228006053.html?.v=1

He just emailed me this response:
Based on the numbers given, it looks like the officers and directors robbed the common stock holders. If you owned the preferred stock you got a nice dividend, and if you were an officer or director you got a nice bonus
and more stock option grants. The company posted nice #'s but then their
loss increased 300% due to them lining their pockets.
