I have 2 charts for GIGM.
I'm looking forward to opinions in which one makes more sense.

Hi Ares,

GIGM just looks to me like it is repeating what happened in 2005-2006, even percentage wise it is nearly identical.

Best of Luck and Happy Trading!

Bourbon   ;)

how do you get such informative charts? my broker has pretty good charts but never as informative as the ones you guys usually put up.

www.stockcharts.com has a nice service, but in my opinion the professional technical analysis software Metastock is unbeatable (but is more expensive than stockcharts.com). I believe I use less than 5% of Metastock's possibilities. Here, let me put some more stuff on today's GIGM chart, like a stochastic oscillator, price rate of change, parabolic SAR, bollinger bands, etc ;D

Yesterday was a low volume day for GIGM, nothing happened on the technical front. Also, no news out. My fundamental estimates tell me GIGM is the third best stock in the Main Portfolio.

Hi, Just wondering if anyone here has ever used TeleChart from Worden? If so, how do you like?

I heard some good things about Telechart, however never tried it personally!
Així és la Catalunya, així és el Barça! Mès que un club!!!

30-day free trial on Telechart--
http://worden.com/   I am a happy Telechart user.  Many short-term swing trader or day traders using this program.  Many people like Peter Worden's picks, live chart shows and live chat channel.

I don't follow Peter Worden's picks.  I am very happy with David's picks here ;)

I also have Quotetracker.com....free real-time chart program.....just in case, if Telechart goes down...

I, too, am very happy with Telechart because the charting and flexibility to scan is fabulous.  In addition, I find Peter Worden's picks and Don Worden's analysis and picks to be quite good

Thanks for info.. I've heard many good things about them also. I'm going to do the trial soon. Do they allow a person to send their charts to another site such as 3SOF, or EM to others?

Thanks for the kind words in a not so shinny day dcrlin :)

GIGM had one of the lowest volume days of 2007 yesterday, as it consolidates recent gains. This is one of the top 3 holdings of the Main Portfolio, I'll keep holding it for the long term.

Q1 2007 results will probably be published in May 17, that's what happened in Q1 2006.

Thanks for the info guys, I did not mean to distract from the main topic.

David,
I am pretty new at this and I am also happy with your picks because since I started with you which has only been a very short time you have brought me back up in the black vs the red I was in on my own.
keep up the good work.
Thanks.

I expect things to get better over the next few months, as most of the stocks in the Main Portfolio are oversold and represent great value at current prices.

Concerning GIGM, it is now the second most attractive stock in the Main Portfolio, and it is more or less economic recession proof, you know?

My estimates seem quite achievable:

I'll keep holding GIGM.

David Randolph

#821
GIGM will report earnings on May 22, and analysts estimates look like this:

Analysts are expecting $0.14 EPS for Q1 2007, but the company made $0.17 EPS in Q4 2006, and there's no seasonality in this business. I believe GIGM will easily beat expectations.

I'll keep holding GIGM.

David Randolph

Yes, thanks for posting wxmang, perhaps the article helped GIGM's intraday rally, but it fizzled by the end of the session.

Fundamentally nothing changed, I still see GIGM as the second best stock in the Main Portfolio, I'll keep holding it.

Almost at support. A buy at $13.50

Wow yukiii, honestly, when I saw I had a reply from you on GIGM's thread I immediately started thinking: "oh my, he's going to make me work on this one too" ;D

But no, you're actually finding GIGM attractive. I'm positively surprised. Great!

Yes, GIGM seems to enjoy touching the 50 days SMA (coming up at $13.5) or the ascending trendline (blue on the chart, tomorrow at $13.02), before another bull run.

Results will be out on May 22, and I'm pretty confident the company will beat consensus estimates, since analysts are expecting just $0.14 EPS and the company already made $0.17 in Q4 2006 (and it has been growing strongly).

I'll keep holding GIGM.
