I came across this chart today when screening. As you can see it has recently rested on a 200-day MA, Fibonacci retracement support, and trendline support at $0.90. If it moved down a little, you will see that it has more support at $0.75, with a Fibonacci retracement support, trendline support (not drawn but obvious), and the 50-day MA. Add to that the fact that OBV has been increasing (meaning more people are taking note of the stock), and it still has a positive moneyflow.

The reason this stood out to me is because (A) the supports make it a high-probability trade, and (B) stocks tend to double-top before heading down L/T (giving me an opportunity to get out for ~50% gain even if it was headed down L/T).

I see the buy price at $0.75 (conservative) or $0.90 (for more assured execution). Target would be around $1.49, with a stop below the second set of supports at $0.73. This gives you a 98% gain (conservative) or a 65% gain (other). Losses would be -2.6% (conservative) or -18.8% (other). This gives a risk/reward of 1:49 (conservative) or 1:3.6 (other), which isn't all that bad.

I don't know if I will buy this one or not (since I don't often speculate on low-priced stocks), but I would be interested to hear the opinions of others...

CXN Circle Group -- Small Cap Focus (1.92 +0.44)

On our Small Cap Focus page, we profile Circle Group, which develops fat replacement products. Its Z-Trim product is a natural zero calorie fat-substitute made from the hulls of corn, oats, soy, rice, barley that lowers 25% to 50% of calories from fats in most foods without negatively affecting taste or texture. The co is still in the pilot production stage, and as such, we would not hold the stock below support in the $1.20 level as it's a bit speculative. However, with a new plant, a number of pilot programs, no debt, and with the stock pushing to a new 52-week high, CXN is worth a look.

Bottomline Soars on 2Q Results
Thursday January 25, 1:20 pm ET
Bottomline Technologies Shares Soar After 2nd-Quarter Report

Shares of Bottomline Technologies, which provides electronic payment and invoice software to businesses, rose nearly 17 percent after the company posted fiscal second-quarter results well above Wall Street estimates.

he Portsmouth, N.H.-based company posted a loss of $2.1 million, or 9 cents a share, compared to net income of $1 million, or 5 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.

But excluding acquisition-related costs and stock compensation expenses, the company earned $2.4 million, or 10 cents per share, ahead of analysts' estimates on that basis of 2 cents per share, according to Thomson Financial.

Revenue also increased 14 percent to $29.7 million, from $26.1 million in the year-earlier period.

Shares of the company rose $1.29, or 12.3 percent, to $11.76 in afternoon trading on the Nasdaq. Earlier in the session, they traded as high as $12.20, up 16.5 percent.

Rob Eberle, president and chief executive of Bottomline, said during a conference call Wednesday afternoon that the company has successfully launched a new product that automates accounts payable functions and provides Bottomline with recurring revenue, rather than just one-time licensing fees.

The company boosted recurring revenues 20 percent to $18.1 million from $15.1 million in the quarter, thanks in part to the new product, Eberle said.

Bottomline also signed up new corporate customers, including CVS Corp. and Warner Bros. Entertainment, a division of Time Warner Inc., the company said.

Ralph Garcea, an analyst at Credit Suisse, increased his price target for the company's shares to $12.50 from $11, though he maintained his neutral rating on the company.

"We believe that the next two quarters should prove favorable given the backlog of work and license outlook that the company has built recently," Garcea wrote in an analyst note. But license revenue could decline in the second half of the year, he added, and there is continued risk as the company transitions to a subscription-oriented revenue model.
