Stupid mistake.
I cannot believe what I did this morning. So I bought PRTL yesterday @ .98 and didn't sell since it closed above 1. I was going to wait and see what happens this morning. Well, the stock started going down and I put sell @ 1.06 to get out 100%.
A second after I clicked on submit I saw double amount of shares of PTRL in my portfolio!!
Actually, the default option is "buy" and I was in hurry putting the number of shares and the price and didn't change it.

Now I'm sweating in front of my computer since those funds are from the margin and I have a potential margin call. I really wish this thing goes up or I'll have to take a loss and I don't like it since now I have 19.000 shares of PRTL!!

I see some big sizes on the buy side on level II but that doesn't have to mean it's not going to go down.

What is your current assesment for PRTL for today elite?

I wouldn't let PRTL past .96~.97 again.  A bottom may be in @ .95 so maybe it can make a push.  You may want to start shedding shares if you are uncomfortable.  Sell um when you can and not when you have to  .

we may see a push in CPST before we hit the lunchtime doldrums.. otherwise I'm thinking it will just drift for a while, to continue on the warpath after lunch.

i did the same thing a few months ago with PRTL actually.
i called ameritrade.  i thought something had to be wrong.
i offered to buy at like 15% above the current price when i was just putting a sell in.
i did it the night before.
i woke up and said hey --- i have more shares ---- DUH !!

I'm not sure is this the right question but what amount of money/shares is worthwhile to trade 6.90 - 7.00. That's about 1.42% profit.

a bunch of shares  if the volume allows it..

when I daytrade i use 4:1 margin. 

the play was 6.85 -> 7.03

or 2.62% but x 4 = 10.5%

4 times the risk but 4 times the fun  but only when you got some experience under your belt.  for me its 6yrs

Well... not a good day for me at all. Penalized with 5% loss instead of taking profit yesterday at close.. Then that damn buy/sell mistake...

I will keep following your trades and try to learn daytrading tricks as we go. Thanks for posting your moves. It really helps to understand the logic behind your trading.

DCEL, breakout > $8.35, target $10.06.
LNG, breakout > $40.97, target $46

Hope your day goes better tomorrow OneStock..  It wasn't a trading error today just a silly execution mistake.. and you gotta have those every once in a while.

I was up bout 8.6% today and feelin in the zone. 

I'm flyin to Chicago tomorrow to visit a friend and check out the windy city  so I definately wont be able to post till Friday.. hmm I'm gonna have to learn to trade 1 hour behind

Both of those look like great stocks OneStock.  You might want to post that in <Stock Picking> board.  This thread is for my infinite compound project
