Could you give some analysis on MIVA ?

Shot up today on big volume and looks to have broke through one of the resistance areas. Lots of gaps to close on this one.

MIVA is in the internet pay per click business. Been beatin up badly with some patent infringement problems brought up by Yahoo. With the case over , just waiting on the decision. I read that some analysts thinks Yahoo might even take up stake in MIVA as if it gets a no decision in the trial it would be bad for Yahoo and others could use it.

Anyway, Had another great day but did dip a bit in A/H because of the Yahoo earnings report.

This one has fallen from the 20's to mid 4's and couldbe on the way back up. Two strong days of volume.

news is they settled with yahoo. 
(personally i dont like the settlement but the market does.  i dont like that they pay yahoo an ongoing royalty as opposed to a one-time payment)

earnings are at 4pm today.

not sure what the results will be -- i suspect they will be good.

i own no shares unfortunately.  i have been playing it very conservative lately.

buying AOB now though (unless it GAPS up too much).

Went all in on MIVA... a bunch of guys in my trading group are in fairly large amounts of miva as well...

MIVA Inks Ad Deal With Google

MIVA Inc. Enters Two-Year Advertising Deal With Google, Shares Soaring

NEW YORK (AP) -- Search marketing company MIVA Inc. said in a regulatory filing Wednesday it agreed to exclusively use Google Inc.'s WebSearch and AdSense services for approved Web sites and applications.

Financial terms of the two-year deal, which was signed last Thursday, were not disclosed.

The Fort Myers, Fla.-based company said the initial approved Web sites are expected to be from its MIVA Direct Inc. subsidiary.

The company said it and its subsidiaries will generate revenue when consumers click through listings to Google advertisers' Web sites. An earlier advertising deal with Yahoo is being terminated effective Jan. 251

MIVA's shares jumped 62 cents, or 15.09 percent, to $3.87 in high-volume morning trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market. In the past 52 weeks, the stock has traded between $2.02 and $5.99.
