Over the last several months in other forums, message boards, etc., people have posted messages to the effect of, "Stock XXXX will be the next one to fly".  For example, I saw such messages about MAHI back in November and NYER about a month or so ago.  What do you suppose people are using to predict these huge gainers?  Is there any kind of stock screener that checks low-float stocks gaining momentum?

I don't think there is a predefined screener to get that, but you can easely make a database of all low float stocks, ans then use some kind of stock screener like metastock or tradestation to search your stocks.

... any technical screener that could predict the kind of moves you're describing on MAHI and NYER.

I say this because there was no pre warning. The volume and the moves came out of nothing. These things look like managed pump and runs from websites.
