David, LOL  just 2.10 and a " speculative" buy.. Isnt everything a speculation??
Another great pick David..  Just hibernate with this one.. Lets wait until 1st quarter 06 to make a new evaluation.  Cheers

shawFund

I am too stupid that I only bought 3k shares at $0.53 (61.8% retracement) with so many smart guys doing so wonderful analysis here for us.

I should at least buy 30k at that price.

shaker340

Looks like we will finally get over that $1 hurdle ;D

shawFund

If the stock runs up to $2, this will be a first 10-bag stock in the portfolio.

May be much higher than $2.00.

Fundamental played an important rule here.

OB stocks do contain gold mining. David and all of you have dig it out.

Thanks for your comments and help  :)

Yes, when we find one really attractive we must stick to it, because they're rare. What's interesting about HYRF.OB is that it wasn't found by my technical filters, it was a fundamental pick related to EYII.OB and the $1,000,000 experience. I think one really needs to know the fundamentals to win big at the OTCBB market.

HYRF.OB made a clean shot to new highs, rising 33% today. I have an open profit of 532% at this point, and selling this stock alone would put the overall penny portfolio performance above 50%, which is awesome  :o

Just one great pick makes the overall performance change a lot, even though I have just 10% of the capital in it. Like I always say, it's those big winners that bring you the above average returns, so one absolutely needs to let the profits run when fundamentals are bullish.

The rally today was about to happen, the upgrade from Wasserman Morris & Co. (was anyone able to read the full report? I couldn't login to their website, didn't got any password. I wonder if they mention EYII.OB on their research) just made things happen more rapidly. I have nothing to complaint, but I would like to see some more volume on this breakout.

Anyway, I think HYRF.OB can continue to rise on low volume to much higher levels ... forget $2, I see $5 in 6 months to a year and that's where I'll probably sell. But I don't want to be locked up to one side of the market, I have to feel free to change opinion and sell tomorrow if my analysis change.

But for now I'll continue letting the profits run on HYRF.OB.

eggman11

The wasserman report predicts earnings per share for FY 2006, at .32 per share. WOW! ;D

I have to be quite frank and say this, I am not sure on how to value a BDC company, especially so when HYRF does not disclose their subs share structure, revenue and profits. But I do wish that HYRF's PPS keeps going up.

Now, they did disclose the expected revenues and profits to the analyst. It came out to 32 cents per share (subs combined). If I look at it like a investment fund, then the PPS ought to be the NAV which is currently 12 cents and projected to be 45 cents end of 2005-2006. These are unrealized gains.

Some unknowns:

1. How long will HYRF continue to be a BDC company?
2. Will they ever report revenue & profits for their subs?
3. Capital structure for their subs????

But it looks like the market is giving a very nice premium to HYRF!

shawFund

Most investors can hold a losing stock even it droped 90% of its value from purchase,
but sell its winning stocks for only 10% gain even the stock may continue rising.

That is, one losing stock may ruin all the profits the investor gained from all other winning stocks.

Here we may have more losing stocks with small losses with few big winners and the overall performance is big.

I see everybody else forgot to bring a wet blanket!

Here's one. Can anybody find any reference to Wasserman Morris & Co initiating coverage on ANY stock other than HydroFlo? Ever?

Can anybody find any reference to Wasserman Morris & Co at all, that does not mention HydroFlo?

My research indicates no history for this company at all, except for widespread dissemination of the HYRF press release that mentions them.

Be sure to take profits, don't bet too big.

Update: I was able to get a guest password and log into the MW & C site. Still can't get the research to download, but I see that the download for the research (and research on another company, VRSO, a Brazilian networking outfit that trades for .01) is listed as "Paid For" Research.

The press release referred to MW & C as "an independent investment research firm," and the research as "unbiased." That HYRF paid for this coverage is something to keep in mind, IMO.
If you must smite, post why so I can improve myself.

The report is a guide and a CFA's opinion.. that's all.. I will let my analysis be my guide as I would hope all investors would. Thanks for your input, research on Wasserman and observations.
and now I have something that will be of everyones interest..

Do a web search on this analyst who issued the report. This guy has been changing firms in the last few years and appears to be as the Jefferson's did "Movin on up!"

We are in good company.. :) ::)

David Randolph

Thanks for posting the research report madge20  :)

I actually think it was very conservative, weighting the P/E for 25% of the valuation and the Price to Book Value for 75%. If their estimate is right with $0.32 a share in earnings for 2006 the current P/E would be 3.375, extremely undervalued.

Even if the stock trades at $3.2 the P/E would still be just 10, when the industry average is 25 as the report says.

robt does well making his word of caution but I've known HYRF's fundamentals before this report and I think the stock can run up to $5 in the coming months.

Very Newbie  :o to this board was intoduced to David with HYRF @ .18... thanks for the tip...for the life of me I cannot understand the price action of the last couple of days.  It seems we are testing support at.95.  But why didn't it hold above $1.  Is it manipulation of Wasserwhoever or just irrational exuburance?
Can anyone explain? ???

Thanks and I do know when the first order is placed EYII and HYRF are going to fly.

People who bought just because of the research deserve to lose, since the research didn't change the fundamentals of the stock which were already known by the market.

Longer term this is just short term noise and the stock will probably continue to trend higher.

To answer your question specifically, HYRF has been down the last few days, but look at the overall markets. They have been down sustantially on very heavy volume. Meanwhile this move downward by HYRF has been on average or below average volume. There should be no doubt that this is, as David has said, short term noise and nothing else. All the best.
