Great volume today!  18 million shares traded!

Another day of Institutional/money managers accumulating.  There was some "sell request" activity but none of them actually ended up selling.  Probably waiting to see how good/bad was the conference call/Bio Investor Forum presentation outcomes. (Light blue or pink indicators are "requests" only.  Solid blue and red are actual buy/sell executions).

WOW!!! What a terrific presentation!!!  Nice going NVAX!  This is HUGE!!!!

CEO addressed many excellent news and development which includes patented processes, proprietary product licenses good til 2015, FDA approvals, $12 million partnership, clinically proven effective nano-particle technology estrogen delivery (Estrasorb), new products getting released in 2 weeks, AND of course, AVIAN VACCINE!!!

NVAX has patented process for mass producing large yield vaccine in a very short period of time (2 months instead of 6 months by using egg), excess production capacity to handle new product line (or new Avian vaccine), using proprietary nano-particle technology to develop a single dose Avian vaccine, increased R&D money to develop vaccine that if effective against the new European strain of H5N1 Avian virus, already have contact with High-Level government/Bush administration working on Avian contracts!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the rest of the highlights from the presentation at Bio Investor Forum 2005 in San Francisco:

- Remarkable day for NVAX - major partnership deal Estrasorb and tremendous market response - 10's of millions of volume activity.  Yes, we already know that  ;)
- New management team and the transformation of NVAX
- New products (2 products  to be released in 2 weeks)
- Avian vaccine and proprietary development
- Specialized contractor for NIH in the past and present
- Became CEO three months ago, worked with Merck for 10 years, developing vaccines!  Oh my!  :D
- Nano particle technology products
- Estrasorb distribution with King pharmaceutical was a mistake.  New distribution is working.
- Licensing of Estrasorb product - patent good til 2015!!!
- Short term:  Nano particle technology  (small particle - transdermal) allows for quick penetration of skin entering the bloodstream and also moisturizes the skin to administer estrogen.  Product stable at room temperature for 2 years.  Patent til 2015.  received FDA approval.  $12.5 million deal with advance payment of $2 million.  Already two licensed products
- Long term: Vaccine based on nano particle technology

- Avian flu development
- Have excess production capacity to bring new products to market - like Avian vaccine  ;)
- Working on Osteoporosis and allergy drugs formulation that are transdemal to allow quick absorption of medication right to the affected area.  Oral medication takes a long time to reach the affected area.
- Nano particle technology can be applied to the oral delivery of medications.
- Working to achieve full potential of the nano technology
- Avian flu - NVAX has received tremendous amount of attention for development of vaccine and mass production
- H5N1 has been mutating the past several years.  Asian strain is different from the European strain.  The vaccine developed for Asian strain DOES NOT work for the European strain
- NVAX going after a particular vaccine instead of soluble protein.
- Has proprietary process
- NVAX is working on a vaccine using the current H5N1 strain of virus
- Using nano particle technology to develop a single dose Avian vaccine.
- Rapid sealable bags for vaccine development.  Low cost, high volume, excellent yield

WOW.  What can I say?

Buy every share of NVAX you can.

I am 100% invested in NVAX now.  Unless I can find a better stock, I am staying!

UPDATE -UK plans mass vaccination against pandemic flu
Wed Oct 19, 2005 11:57 AM ET
(Updates with background, quotes, news conference)

By Patricia Reaney

LONDON, Oct 19 (Reuters) - Britain plans to buy enough vaccine to protect the entire population in case a deadly bird flu virus develops into a pandemic strain capable of killing millions of people, the government said on Wednesday.

Chief Medical Officer Liam Donaldson said vaccine manufacturers are being invited to tender contracts to supply 120 million doses, enough for two shots per person, once the pandemic strain is known.

"A vaccine to protect against pandemic flu cannot be made until the new virus is known," Donaldson said.

"We're asking vaccine companies to gear up to supply us with pandemic flu vaccine even though at this stage we can't give them the strain, nobody can," he told a news conference.

The move would put Britain at the front of the line in getting a vaccine if a pandemic emerged. Scientists believe a human flu pandemic is already overdue.

They are worried that the H5N1 bird flu virus that has been circulating in Asia since 1997, and has been reported in birds in Russia, Turkey and Romania, could evolve into a highly infectious strain in humans similar to the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic that killed as many as 50 million people worldwide.

Samples of a bird flu virus from a turkey in Greece are also being tested to see if it is lethal bird flu.

The H5N1 bird flu virus has jumped to humans and killed 60 people in Asia. Twice as many have been infected but so far it is not easily transmissible from person-to-person -- a prerequisite for a pandemic strain.

To become a pandemic strain the H5N1 bird flu would have to mutate on its own or mix its genetic material with a human influenza virus to become highly infectious in humans who would have little or no immunity against it.

SLEEPING CONTRACTS

An effective vaccine is the only measure that will defeat a human flu pandemic but it could take 4-6 months if a pandemic strain emerged to identify it and develop a vaccine.

Donaldson said the so-called sleeping contracts would be incentive for vaccine manufacturers to gear up to supply a vaccine because they would know they had the contract if a pandemic emerges.

"We regard pandemic flu as public health enemy number one and we are on the march against it," he said.

Several companies are working to develop a pandemic flu vaccine, including Sanofi-Aventis SA (SASY.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) , GlaxoSmithKline Plc (GSK.L: Quote, Profile, Research) and Chiron Corp (CHIR.O: Quote, Profile, Research) .

The move is the latest in Britain's contingency plans for dealing with a possible influenza pandemic. In March it announced that it was buying 14.6 million courses of the antiviral drug Tamiflu made by Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche (ROG.VX: Quote, Profile, Research) .

The stockpile, which will cost about 200 million pounds ($350.6 million), will be completed by September 2006.

The drug reduces the severity of flu and is considered a first line of defence until scientists can develop a vaccine.

The European Commission has advised member states to stockpile antiviral drugs. Officials also plan to hold talks with the vaccine manufacturers. (BIRDFLU-BRITAIN-VACCINE, editing by Steve Addison, Reuters Messaging: patricia.reaney.reuters.com@reuters.net))

Thank for the great DD Livelife, especially the CC summary.  I missed the boat on NVAX as I chose HEB instead (already holding SVA and EMFP).  Waiting for a pullback tomorrow to get in.  I was hoping it would pull back today but the news nixed any chance of that.

Glad to see institutions coming in big time.  This will limit the big profit taking days which can be quite a white knickled ride.  Are you really 100% invested.  Wow, that is confidence.

Keep the tread going.

Thank you.

Yes, I cashed out last week when David sent his "cash out" alert.

But bought back NVAX on dip, all 100%, 11,000 shares.
