I am out for the moment too, quite happy to make $1K in a week even if I wind up missing out on a little more upside.  I am trading my way out of the DEIT hole here little by little, and thus conservative is better than risky for me at this moment.  I have been there done that with NVAX as they say, and wouldnt be surprised if there is some profit taking until Monday (bird flu stocks like to rebound on Mondays from worldwide news of further spread of the virus and more deaths that seem inevitable.)

Besides, I still have EMFP, so there is no bird flu hole in my portfolio :-)

Hi EliteG,

I took profits on NAVX yesterday.  When to buy it back?  I also took profits on GNA, MRVC, ANGN, and I couldn't figure out how to safely buy them back.  So, I just watch them going higher without me.   ???

I have small account, so I don't want to sell half...I hate to see NAVX going higher without me...Can you help?

Thanks.

dcrlin

dcrlin  :) first off GREAT TRADES!  ;)  To buy back something safely you must have a good reason and have a tighter stop in place.  I recommend a nice retrace or tight consolidation.. these are areas that one can have a clear stop zone(right underneath) because they should provide support.  Sometimes you just have to let a play go by and remember that you made $(thats what we're here for).. so good job!

Melf didn't answer my questiion about the three white candles but you sure did by adding it to the portfolio. Thanks. It sure looked to me as a clone of those 3 candles back on Dec 28th. They led to an appx 65% gain in short order.
Mike

I would sure like a nice 65% gain again  :o.. and people think clones are bad  :D

I went ahead and pullled the trigger at $7.48 for a decent gain in less than week. Applaud for the pic. Would like to re-enter a lower level....hopefully I didn't make a mistake.

Jody  8) No mistake in making a solid trade  ;) but we are betting NVAX has more left.

update NVAX

She keeps on climbing!  Another new 52 week high and an increase in volume.  Some profit taking rejection from traders who bought the breakout but still a great gain!  Of course as NVAX continues up it get harder and harder to hold   ;) and 16% in 3 days aint bad   :D.. but the stock has been rewarding our patience and has put in some nice support   ;)

3 charts(a chart feast)

1.  For the appetizer we have the 5-minute chart.  It comes with a symmetrical triangle.  We will watch for a break of that to make a move to either upwards(strong resistance) or downwards(strong support).

---------------------------------------------------------

2.  The main course will be a 60 minute chart complete with various strong support lines and a beautiful broadening channel.  1st strong support at $7.. I like to call this triple strong because it has 3 things backing it up A. gap support B. trend support from channel C. psychological support @ whole number.  Triple support @ 7 area may make a good pick-up spot with confirmation of a bounce.  8)

-------------------------------------------------------

3.  Dessert must be the hot daily chart.  Steep support(magenta, pinkish, purple line) and plenty of other supports are showcased.  But the highlight here is the top trendline that we hope to use as a target sell.   >:D

With support in place we are now able to keep a cool head with a retrace and have the patience to grow with NVAX.   8)

intra-day update NVAX:

My comments are on the chart  ;)

KnightRider

What are everyones thoughts on how NVAX is going to fair in trading on Monday??  Pull back, or push upwards?  If it receives a dime of funding for the bird flu this week, the stock will really take off.

update NVAX:

NVAX managed to find support, bounce and end positive for the day on Friday.  What a monster.

Another chart feast:

From Thurday 5minute chart:
Quote1.  For the appetizer we have the 5-minute chart.  It comes with a symmetrical triangle.  We will watch for a break of that to make a move to either upwards(strong resistance) or downwards(strong support).

-------------------------------------------------------------------

From Friday 5-minute chart:
Triangle broke down to find strong support @ 7.  The bottom of the symmetrical triangle became resistance for the rest of the day.. luckily that is an ascending line  ;).

---------------------------------------------------------------------

60 minute chart mid-day Friday:

----------------------------------------------------------------------

60 minute chart after market close Friday:

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Daily chart for after market close Friday:

-------------------------------------------------------------------

So lots of support in place for NVAX.  I am interested to see if the broadening channel on the 60-minute holds and how our triple support will fare.  Action can be crazy this week so I will continue to actively watch and chart NVAX progress.  It is important to put a stop in just for security  ;)

We will sell NVAX if it hits our stop @ 5.97.

eliteG

NVAX continues to impress!!  Up everyday since we made the buy... with this kind of action I will have to move my stop higher tonight  ;)

Check out this intra-day action!  :o

Wow....up to $8.15 as I type  !

Had to jump in this afternoon. The stock has evolved from 'going up every day' to parabolic today. I'll keep a close stop on it. I don't want to be the one of the ones without a seat when the music stops playing. Maybe it breaks $10 tomorrow!
