Market Pulse: N.A. Scientific: China OKs sale of cancer treatment
Tuesday September 20, 2:20 pm ET
By Gabriel Madway

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- North American Scientific Inc. said Tuesday that China's food and drug administration has granted its NOMOS radiation oncology division approval to sell Peacock, a serial tomotherapy system designed to treat various types of cancer with intensity modulated radiation therapy. The Chatsworth, Calif.-based company expects that sales in China could begin by the end of October.

I expect a surge as it goes above $4 later in the aft. as inst, $ will increase.

----NASI----

1)NASI just announced approval for its cancer therapy in the biggest most polluted cancer stricken country on Earth- China.

2) China health and technology stocks have been one of the hottest sectors in last few years- e.g. SINA, NTES, AOB.

3) NASI was forecasting cash flow neutral results for this quarter BEFORE China approval--NASI will now be CASH FLOW POSITIVE.

4) 70% of 12 million NASI float owned by Institutions and insiders, leaving "available" float of only 3.6 million.

5) NASI was $10 as recently as March 2004, and is now in FAR BETTER condition than it was then.

It took a nice jump from 2.5 to 4 and we wait for the sellers.  This is just a small position in my profile, but hope to see great news to come from this china agreement. As you can see from the above --- revenue is in a good upward trend.

I think there will continue to be profit takers, but once news of sells is announced, this one will hopefully show up on the 3stocks.-  that would be nice :)

Keep an eye on this one. When they announce sales this will fly.

The Company believes that sales in China could occur before the end of the Company's current fiscal year on October 31, 2005.

Ya, i put in a market order the day it shot to 3.50 so that was just freaking great!!! but i did not  get rid of it, b/c there is just no way this is not going to see higher numbers in the future.  just depends on 1 month or 4.  But, i knew this going in, and I bought it on my sharebuilder as a large lump sum.  now that it is in its 2's sharebuilder allows me to make tue day deposits into different stocks, and NASI is one of them - so until the news comes out i will be buying every tue no matter what the stock price is.

I bought NASI at 2.82.

Applause to Puenthouse, tugsinav and Stocks2Watch2 for their work on fundamentals.

NASI is working on a "W" bottom.  It broke out above the middle of the "W" (3.62) on the September 21 gap day, and now has come down for five days in a row and has filled the top of the gap area.  This morning, it went down to a low of 2.68, then rallied back above unchanged, which I liked, so I bought it.

The volume on the big up day was over 12 million.  Today, it's only 160,000, so it's a low volume pullback to the gap.  I like that.

The 50-day Moving Average (green line) and the 200DMA (red line) are inverted, so this might take some time for them to right themselves, techinically.  The 50 should be above the 200.

For the target on the chart, I always use the most conservative number, so I used the bottom of the right leg of the "W" (1.90) rather than the bottom of the left leg (1.85).

Good luck to those long.  I like the story, and the chart's got a chance.

NASI currently is BID 2.78...ASK 2.82

Sorry, I forgot the chart.  I edited my last post and added it.

NASI, On fire. Back over 3.00.Looks like it's gonna run up into the close, should see a gap up tom. Then when we get news on china sales, I think we'll see another big run.

The Company believes that sales in China could occur before the end of the Company's current fiscal year on October 31, 2005.

I bought NASI at 2.82.

Sold NASI at 3.02.  Gain: 7%.

Could run up as Stocks2Watch2 suggests (applause for the news posts today), but I sold at the Kijun-Sen on the chart (3.015).  I didn't have a particularly good entry at 2.82, so I took profits on today's 20%+ rally, and will look to re-enter lower, if possible.

Bought it back at 2.72, near the 50DMA.
