SMSActive agrees to a business partnership with a Chinese VOIP Company

VANCOUVER, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - SMSActive Technologies Corp. (OTC: SMSE - News) is pleased to announce that it has principally agreed to a partnership with a Chinese company to provide connections to all major wireless operators in China for its new T-Bar SMS IM (instant messaging) product. SMSActive and its new Chinese partner will integrate the T-Bar with VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) for release into the Chinese market in early 2006.


Details of the partnership/revenue sharing are to be concluded by the end of Dec. 2005.

The SMS T-Bar is a mobile instant messaging product based on SMSActive's patent pending enterprise solution labeled the "Communication Bar" and the Jabber Open Source Instant Messaging Platform.

Short message service (SMS) is a globally accepted wireless service that enables the transmission of alphanumeric messages between mobile subscribers and external systems such as electronic mail, paging, and voice-mail systems. The primary benefits of SMS for subscribers are convenience, flexibility, and seamless integration of messaging services and data access. The most notable benefit is the ability to use the handset as an extension of the computer. SMS also eliminates the need for separate devices for messaging because services can be integrated into a single wireless device.

The SMS T-Bar provides PC users with the ability to send SMS messages from the Microsoft Internet Explorer's menu bar to wireless users anywhere in the world and receive replies directly from the receiving wireless device. The reply will come back directly to the Microsoft Internet Explorer on the PC's desktop. This new SMS messaging platform is scalable to support virtually unlimited numbers of messages and subscribers on a daily basis.

SMS@ctive Reviews 2005 Strategic Plan

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 2005-- SMS@ctive Technologies Corp. (OTCBB:SMSE) announced today that it has successfully redirected its market focus to the People's Republic of China.

Early in the first quarter of 2005 SMS@ctive began deploying its resources in China. This includes sending a project engineer to China to manage the re-development and deployment of SMS T-Bar in the Chinese market. The SMS T-Bar was released for commercial testing in China early in the Third quarter of 2005.

As an integral part of the SMS T-Bar commercial tests, SMS@ctive began its search for a Chinese partner with significant market share in the wireless market and products which would complement the SMS T-Bar. This search has resulted in our current negotiations with a Chinese VOIP company and our plans to open an SMS@ctive office in Beijing, China in the second quarter of 2006.

In China, it is estimated that by 2007 VoIP calls will amount to 210.11 billion minutes with revenues of RMB 52.53 billion yuan. Low cost is the direct reason that has produced the rapid development of distant IP call. In 2004 VoIP calls account for 46% of total telephone calls, which were 37.2% and 42.2% in 2002 and 2003 respectively.

In November, 2005 Arshad Shah, President and Chief Executive Officer of SMS@ctive appointed Lijin (Jimmy) Zhao as Vice President (Chinese) Operations.

Kasbarian has been appointed to the SMS@ctive Board of Advisors effective June 1, 2006. This appointment will be for a period of one year ending on May 31, 2007.


Mr. Kasbarian has had over thirty years experience in the information technology marketplace and is currently CEO of GlobalMenuGuide.com. Previously to his current position he was CEO of Pacific Mobile Technologies Inc. He has personally been involved in strategic planning, market planning and sales force development on assignments for AT&T, Computer Diode Corporation, General Electric, IBM and many other companies.
