DANBURY, Conn., Nov 07, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ --
Tasker Capital Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: TKER), a distributor and marketer of a proprietary technology that is highly effective in inhibiting pathogenic bacteria, today announced that its Coast to Coast subsidiary has added several distributors for its Unifresh(TM) Footbath, including Super Formula Products, Inc., a dairy farm product distributor serving - among others - the Eagle Supply Company LLC, a subsidiary of the Dairylea Cooperative of more than 2,500 member farms throughout the Northeast.

Unifresh(TM) Footbath concentrate is a solution used to control bacteria and fungus that invade the hooves of cows causing digital dermatitis, a condition that can render cows lame and cause decreased food intake, which subsequently reduces milk yield and fertility in cows. First described in 1974, digital dermatitis (also known as hairy footwart and hairy heelwart) is a major problem in dairy cows, causing significant economic losses worldwide. Since its first reported case in 1980, the United States has seen a rapid spread of this highly contagious disease. One study, conducted by the United States Department of Agriculture (in conjunction with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and Veterinary Services) in 1997 of 4,516 dairy producer in 20 states, indicated that over 80 percent of all U.S. dairy herds with 200 or more cows have reported digital dermatitis infection and of those herd size, approximately 15.3 percent of the herds showed clinical signs of digital dermatitis.

Burt Sookram, a vice president of Tasker with oversight responsibility for Coast to Coast, commented, "The demand for Unifresh(TM) Footbath has been steadily building momentum since we started shipping in the third quarter. The lost milk production associated with digital dermatitis has developed into a major problem for dairy farmers around the world. Tasker's pHarlo technology suspends copper sulfate in a microscopic level, enabling it to effectively attack the bacteria responsible for digital dermatitis. Our product provides an effective and economical solution in the fight against this spreading disease."

"We consider Tasker's Unifresh(TM) Footbath a highly effective product in combating digital dermatitis. Feedback we have received from dairy farmers on their experience using the product has been very positive," stated Angelo Soluri, Super Formula Products' vice president. "Super Formula Products has a reputation for providing premium products to the dairy industry over its 33- year history. We are excited to be able to participate in the distribution of a new technology that addresses such a serious and growing problem plaguing the dairy industry."

Tasker's Coast to Coast subsidiary also markets Unifresh(TM) Pen Spray Concentrate used to significantly reduce bacteria and the ammonia byproduct in poultry pens. This product was rigorously tested by Groupe Doux, Europe's largest poultry processor, and is currently undergoing EEC approval for commercial application. The marketing of Unifresh(TM) Pen Spray has also been expanded to the United States, China, South and Central America, Mexico and New Zealand, forwarding the Company's plan to develop a worldwide marketing strategy.

The Company also markets Unifresh(TM) Egg Wash Concentrate, an antibacterial agent, for which commercial tests are in the process of being developed in the United States. The egg wash product targets pathogens such as salmonella, listeria, and E. coli, which can permeate an egg shell and contaminate the egg, causing a material reduction in egg production. According to the Journal of Infectious Diseases, 82 percent of Salmonella enteritidis outbreaks (between 1985 and 1991) were traced to contaminated shell eggs. According to USDA estimates, the United States produced 87.2 billion eggs in 2003 and, in 2004 represented approximately 9 percent of worldwide production (according to WATT Poultry).

Tasker Receives USDA Consent to Market Its Tasker Blue for Use in Poultry Picker-Rails
Friday December 1, 9:55 am ET

DANBURY, Conn., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tasker Products Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: TKER - News), a distributor and marketer of proprietary technology effective in inhibiting pathogenic bacteria, today announced that it has received a "Letter of No Objections" from the Food Safety and Inspection Service ("FSIS") of the United States Department of Agriculture ("USDA") to market an application for use in the picker-rails of poultry processing. This is Tasker's second application to receive consent by the FSIS to begin commercialization, following the consent of its application for use in the scalder.

In the United States, most poultry processors use a hard scald, a process in which poultry are submerged in a tank of water at a water temperature between 130 degrees - 145 degrees Fahrenheit to loosen the outer layer of skin and facilitate the removing of feathers (picking). During this process, poultry are especially exposed to cross contamination since the heat expands the pores on the epithelial tissues. Tasker's scalder application has proven effective for use in inhibiting bacteria such as Salmonella. The picker process, which removes feathers from the body, wing, hock and neck of poultry, immediately follows the scalder process and can be a breeding ground for cross contamination of bacteria. Tasker's applications in both the scalder and picker reduces or eliminates salmonella typhimurium, listeria monocytogenes, staphylococcus aureus, E coli, shewanella putrfaciens and pseudomonas flourescens.

In its effort to improve salmonella performance standards, the USDA is encouraging the poultry processing industry to adopt a multiple intervention strategy for reducing pathogens in poultry processing operations. Tasker's scalder and picker-rails treatments are an ideal complement to existing Chiller and On-Line Reprocessing treatments currently in wide use in the poultry industry.

"The consent by the FSIS for our picker application continues our progress of seeking regulatory approval for other applications of poultry processing. Our scalder application has performed according to expectations at two processing plants, and we are scheduled to begin testing at another processor's plant over the next several weeks. The addition of Tasker's picker application to its commercial efforts will advance our efforts at supporting the poultry industries' goal of containing pathogenic bacteria," said Rich Falcone, Tasker's president and CEO.

Looks like this is why its moving: from a recent PR.

Lanny Dacus, Tasker's president and CEO, commented, "The Chiller section is the last intervention point in our endeavor to offer an end-to-end solution to eliminate bacteria in poultry processing. Our ultimate goal is to provide customers with a highly effective process that will promote operational efficiencies that reduce costs, such as a reduction in water usage through the recirculation of water, and enhance production, in addition to significantly reducing or eliminating Salmonella, E. coli and other pathogenic bacteria to satisfy tougher USDA standards." Mr. Dacus added, "We are currently conducting tests of our application for the On-line Reprocessor and intend to conduct the tests of our Chiller application, concurrently. We are also scheduled to conduct proprietary tests at several large poultry processors for our Scalder and Picker applications, which should take three to four weeks each. By this summer, we hope to have the first end-to-end solution available in the market."

DANBURY, Conn., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tasker Products Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: TKER - News), a distributor and marketer of proprietary technology effective in inhibiting pathogenic bacteria, today reported that an article appeared in the premier poultry processing industry magazine, Watt's Poultry USA, titled, "Solving The Yield/Pathogen Reduction Dilemma", which highlighted the multiple benefits of using its Tasker Blue application in the scalder intervention section of poultry processing.

The article, written by industry expert, Dr. Scott Russell, advocated the use of an acidic chemical sanitizer in the scalder to reduce bacteria, such as Salmonella and E. coli. During the scalding process, birds are submerged in hot water, usually 123 degrees Fahrenheit or hotter, which loosens the feathers, facilitating the de-feathering. Dr. Russell explained in the article that, in addition to reducing bacteria, a sanitizer, such as Tasker Blue, promotes de-feathering and also enables poultry processors to lower the temperatures of the scalding systems, thereby promoting improved yields (in terms of bird weight). Salmonella ceases to multiply at temperatures above 113 degrees Fahrenheit and is destroyed at temperatures above 123 degrees Fahrenheit. However, chicken fat is very unsaturated and liquefies at lower temperatures than saturated fats likes those from beef and pork, reducing the weight of birds. Dr. Russell made reference to a test he conducted using Tasker Blue at a large poultry processing plant. The referenced studies indicated that Tasker Blue dramatically reduced bacteria on chickens, even at temperatures below 123 degrees Fahrenheit. Furthermore, over the three day, highly controlled tests, control groups using Tasker Blue at lower Scalder temperatures generated yields that were 0.75 percent higher than groups not using Tasker Blue.

Dr. Russell estimated that an average poultry processor preparing 200,000 to 250,000 chickens per day at an average weight of 3 pounds each, could generate savings as much as $130,000 per year using a proper acid sanitizer in the scalder. Tests confirmed that such use would make carcasses easier to de-feather, decrease bacteria growth, decrease cross-contamination of, reduce energy costs, increase yields and decrease the amount of fat run-off on processing equipment -- Salmonella can become encased in fat solid, which shields the bacteria from sanitizing agents. In addition, Dr. Russell added that the cost-benefit ratio is further enhanced when poultry processors consider the alternative costs to remediate Salmonella and the cost of field interventions, which could be avoided, and the potential to increase line speeds with reduced Salmonella counts. In summary, Dr. Russell presents a compelling argument for scalder disinfection applications such as Tasker Blue, with repeated reference to net cost savings associated with its use.

Lanny Dacus, Tasker's president and CEO, commented on the article, "Dr. Russell's article thoroughly addressed the benefits of Tasker Blue to poultry processors. The product represses bacteria at critical intervention points, enabling other processing sections to work more efficiently and increase yields and, potentially, production through faster line speeds." Mr. Dacus added, "We are speaking with several of the leading poultry processors and have already installed our scalder systems in the plants of some of the largest industry participants. We believe that is just a matter of time before Tasker Blue achieves a material penetration of the poultry industry in the United Sates and abroad."

Dr. Scott M. Russell, Ph.D. is associate professor of Poultry Science for the University of Georgia and serves as a consultant to Tasker Products Corp. Dr. Russell's article is available in the October 2007 issue of Watts Poultry USA.
