Search by ticker

Ramsburg, it would be nice if it were possible to just search by ticker without the search also pulling up hits that have the ticker's letters in them. For example, a search for UPDA should only pull up threads related to the stock with ticker symbol UPDA and not threads that contain the word "UPDAte." Seems like this would be easy to do - when the person clicks "search" a space could be automatically added before and after the ticker so words containing the ticker symbol wouldn't show up in the results. Rather than making this an advanced search feature, it might be better to have it as a radio button where you could either select "by ticker" or "by word" before searching.
GO IN THAT HOUSE OF PAIN THAT YOU SEEM TO WANT TO BE IN, BUT GET AWAY FROM ME.  I'M TRYING TO WORK, DAMMIT.

This is an excellent idea. I have been unable to find existing threads, as there would be numerous posts brought up by the the search feature that didn't show the ticker I was looking for.

Would also be nice to if a thread could be automatically deleted if there has been no new post on it after a certain time period and that way it would start to eliminate the threads if there has been more than one started on one ticker. When sometimes I enter a search there might be more than one thread and cann't tell which one is the most recent to post on.

Hello all,

I have a suggestion to make.

Looking for the latest comment of HQSM, I used your Search tool...
Arriving on the Search Results Screen (17 items),
It was disappointing to see only the started date of the post.

3Sof Search Screen ( / Subject / Started by / Relevance / Date Started / )
---->Search on HQSM (First 3 from 17)

1) HQSM.OB poised to double... --------------------> 2005-12-08, 09:35:58
2) TNEN- True North Energy -------------------------> 2006-08-08, 16:12:10
3) Awesome fundamentals on HQSM ---------------> 2005-08-24, 15:03:51

Why not showing the date and time from the latest comment on any particular topic from the 3sof community member,

This should help the member to select only the recent posts!
