==========================================================
Product Family;

Ceragon's FibeAir® product family of broadband wireless systems supports multiple capacities, frequencies, modulation schemes and configurations for various network requirements, using the same hardware and state-of-the-art technology.

Combining spectral efficiency, hardware efficiency, modularity, flexibility and upgradeability in a single, compact, and cost-effective 1U system, the FibeAir family is a breakthrough in the wireless point-to-point market.

This innovative family of products presents an easy method of "on the fly" wireless network upgrades in accordance with network expansion requirements. These optimized as-you-grow capacity capabilities of the FibeAir family are leveraging operators and service providers capital and operating expenses.

Frequencies and Modulations - Ceragon's FibeAir family supports the complete range of frequencies of 6 to 38 GHz and software configurable modulation schemes of 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256 QAM with versatile 28-56 MHz bandwidths.

Capacities - Ceragon's radios are upgradeable for capacities of 100 to 622 Mbps, using the same 1U IDU, supporting 1+0, 2+0, 4+0 (with optional XPIC, Cross Polarization Interference Canceller mechanism), 2+0 East-West, 1+1 HSB, and 1+1 HSB with space or frequency diversity mode. Point-to-point, ring, star, and cascaded chain topologies are all supported.

Topologies and Configurations - Each indoor unit (IDU) can host up to two carriers, each delivering 100, 112, 116, 155 or 311 Mbps, optimizing the solution for every network topology and configuration. The two independent, hot-swappable carriers can be used for protection, diversity or double capacity.

High spectral efficiency is ensured by choosing the same frequency for double the capacity, due to the usage of both carriers for vertical and horizontal polarizations, implemented by a built-in XPIC mechanism.

East-West configurations for ring and cascaded topologies are also possible using the same method, whereby one carrier is directed to the east and the other to the west, reducing equipment and resource requirements in each node, which, in turn, increases network efficiency.

FibeAir can seamlessly integrate into any SDH/SONET, IP and ATM network, while supporting a wide variety of IP + TDM interfaces, including nxE1/T1, nxE3/DS3, nxSTM-1/OC-3, STM-4/OC-12, nxFE, and GigE. This enables network designers to meet growing market needs, including integration of current and next generation technologies, using the same radio equipment.

Mobile Cellular Infrastructure

Cellular carriers around the world are consistently growing their subscriber base. At the same time, emerging technologies such as GPRS and UMTS are being implemented to enable carriers to provide new content-rich applications.

During this mobile cellular network evolution, end-user bandwidth demand increases generated by these new applications will be directly reflected on both the access and core portions of cellular networks. To handle these capacity increases & enable voice and data services to be carried in an efficient manner over a converged network, cellular carriers are migrating their network from medium capacity PDH backhaul to high capacity SDH-based rings.

Offering a smooth migration path from GSM to GPRS and UMTS, Ceragon's flexible high-capacity wireless access and core network solutions support multiple capacity levels, transmission protocols and frequency bands.

Based on the field-proven technology of Ceragon's FibeAir™ product family, Ceragon Networks introduced the industry's first fixed wireless system with a built-in add/drop SONET/SDH multiplexer (ADM). This unique networking device enables efficient and fast network migration while reducing the complexity and cost of today's cellular ring infrastructures.

Ceragon's built-in ADM is a one-box (1U) solution for OC-3/STM-1 (155 Mbps) multiplexed data transmission, operating in the 6-38 GHz frequency bands. The system provides up to 32 T1/E1 tributary interfaces per site and can be used in pure SONET/SDH wireless networks or in mixed (wired and wireless) networks. The system supports path protection in ring topologies and implements in-band management for seamless integration.

CIBC upgrades Ceragon

"The announcement of the OEM deal with Nokia is a strategically significant event."

Globes correspondent 10 Jan 06 14:42

CIBC World Markets has upgraded its rating for Ceragon Networks Ltd. (Nasdaq: CRNT; TASE:CRNT) to "Sector outperformer", following the company's signing of an OEM agreement with cellular equipment giant Nokia. CIBC analysts Avivit Manneh Kalil and Amir Argaman set a $6 price target for the stock, which compares with a closing price of $4.45 in New York yesterday, at which price Ceragon has a market cap of $117 million.
"We see the announcement of the agreement, which we expected for several quarters, as a strategically significant event," Manneh Kalil and Argaman write.

"As we have said in previous reports, Ceragon is a technological leader in a niche field, and we see the signing of OEM agreements as important for the company's continued progress in the growing wireless market. In the past, we raised the concern that the lack of agreements and collaborations with significant players in the cellular infrastructure market would hamper the company's ability to benefit from the growth of the cellular market. Now, the signing of the agreement with Nokia substantially allays those fears.

"Since Nokia is already a customer of Ceragon, the announcement of the agreement has no immediate effect on our estimates of Ceragon's results, but we believe the agreement has several positive effects: 1. it boosts Ceragon's ability to operate in the cellular market and benefit from its growth through strengthening of its collaboration with Nokia; 2. it is confirmation of Ceragon's technological leadership; and 3. it will contribute to exposure of the company in the US capital market.

"Ceragon is traded at a p/e ratio of 17 on 2006 earnings. We believe the OEM agreement with Nokia substantially reduces the risks associated with the stock, and the fears about the gross profit margin the company will present in the coming quarters do not justify such a low p/e ratio."
