NEWARK, DE--(MARKET WIRE)--Feb 1, 2006 -- O2Diesel Corporation (AMEX:OTD - News) has developed a proprietary, ethanol/diesel fuel blend that substantially reduces emissions. The Company recognizes the prospects from the State of the Union Address by President George Bush on January 31, 2006.

"America is addicted to oil, which is often imported from unstable parts of the world," President Bush stated. "The best way to break this addiction is through technology," further commented Mr. Bush. Thus, President Bush has set a goal of replacing 75 percent of the nation's Middle East oil imports by 2025 with ethanol and other energy sources. The tactics he presented are currently under way as he noted that since he was elected to the Nations highest post the federal government had spent "nearly $10 billion to develop cleaner, cheaper, more reliable alternative energy sources." Additionally, the President has signed legislation in 2005 that requires 7.5 billion gallons of ethanol, the corn-based additive, to be mixed into the nation's fuel supply by 2015. This is double the current utilization.

NEWARK, DE--(MARKET WIRE)--Feb 14, 2006 -- O2Diesel Corporation (AMEX:OTD - News), a global leader in the development and commercialization of ethanol diesel fuel blends, today announced that following the recent appointment of Blue Diamond Australia PTY as its exclusive distributor and agent for Australia, it has shipped the first full container load of its proprietary fuel additive technology to Sojitz Australia Limited a subsidiary Sojitz Corporation of Japan (www.sojitz.Com). Sojitz, who is recognized as one of the largest suppliers of diesel fuel to the mining industry in Australia, will use the additive to blend O2Diesel(TM) for delivery to its customers. This initial shipment of the Company's patented additive technology is enough to blend approximately 4.5 million liters of O2Diesel(TM). This marks O2Diesel's largest shipment to date, and was manufactured by the Company's manufacturing partner, Cognis Gmbh, at their facility in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Clean Diesel Trucks and Buses Rule
(2007 Heavy-Duty Highway Final Rule)
In 2000, EPA moved forward on schedule with its rule to make heavy-duty trucks and buses run cleaner. These vehicles, which will be ready by model year 2007, will cut harmful pollution by 95 percent. Sulfur in diesel fuel must be lowered to enable modern pollution-control technology to be effective on these trucks and buses. The Agency will require a 97 percent reduction in the sulfur content of highway diesel fuel from its current level of 500 parts per million to 15 parts per million.

Once this action is fully implemented, 2.6 million tons of smog-causing nitrogen oxide emissions will be reduced each year. Soot or particulate matter will be reduced by 110,000 tons a year. An estimated 8,300 premature deaths, 5,500 cases of chronic bronchitis and 17,600 cases of acute bronchitis in children will also be prevented annually. It is also estimated to help avoid more than 360,000 asthma attacks and 386,000 cases of respiratory symptoms in asthmatic children every year. In addition, 1.5 million lost work days, 7,100 hospital visits and 2,400 emergency room visits for asthma will be prevented.

Significant lead time is provided in the rule for the introduction of new cleaner fuel into the marketplace. Engine manufacturers will have flexibility to meet the new standards through a phase-in approach between 2007 and 2010. The fuel provision will go into effect in June 2006 and will be phased-in through 2009. The program also includes various flexible approaches, including additional time for some refiners and special provisions for small refiners.

I bought 20k today on the weakness.  I can smell green on this one.

12:45PM O2Diesel developing new fuel for Department of Defense (OTD) 1.36 -0.13 : Co announces it is now under contract to develop a new cleaner burning alternative diesel fuel for the U.S. Department of Defense. This new fuel will help to comply with Executive Order 13149 which requires federal agencies with fleets of 20 or more light, medium, and heavy-duty on-road vehicles in metropolitan areas to reduce their petroleum consumption by 20%. The fuel will be composed of at least 20% renewable sources including the company's patented and proprietary natural oil based solubilizing additive -- O2D05. This fuel, when finalized, will help the Department of Defense facilities meet local air quality requirements and strengthen its commitment to reducing the USA's dependency on foreign oil imports. The co has received a contract for $800,000 in DoD appropriations to perform this research. This and similar funding has enabled the co to be recognized for its emissions benefits and petroleum displacement opportunities in the growing and highly-segmented 55 billion gallon per year U.S. diesel fuel market.
