CRDN just reported improved earnings expectations yesterday and the price has had a lift. Today it ran right into the 50 MA and came down. I'm looking for it to push through maybe monday and pick up some stream.

usedcasting

Gapped a little, clearing the 50Ma, now we need to break through resistance at $56.14 and fill a small gap. Then clear sailing to $62 would be nice.

CRDN just had an upbeat conference call, putting to rest many of investors concerns. Bought yesterday, looks like a keeper for me and a solid investment for the future.

Ideal Innovations, Inc., Oshkosh Truck, and Ceradyne, Inc. Awarded Contract for Bull(TM) Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles
Wednesday December 19, 12:26 pm ET
Team Will Manufacture and Deliver Bull(TM) Armored Vehicles to US Military for Testing

ARLINGTON, Va. & OSHKOSH, Wis. & COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I-3), Oshkosh Truck Corporation (NYSE:OSK - News), and Ceradyne, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRDN - News) announced today that they have been awarded a delivery order of $18.1 million by the government to produce and deliver Category 1 (6 man) variants and targets of The Bull™ Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle to the U.S. Marine Corps Joint MRAP program office. The vehicles are to be delivered in the first quarter of calendar year 2008 and will be used for further government testing of their Explosively Formed Penetrator (EFP) resistant capabilities. Improving upon current MRAP vehicle protection and mobility capabilities, these vehicles are designated as MRAP II type vehicles. This delivery order will be shipped against a $12.5 billion indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract. The companies record as firm orders and backlog only delivery orders, such as the above $18.1 million, that have firm scheduled delivery dates.

"The team is looking forward to supplying the The Bull™ MRAP II to the government for further testing. We will continue to work with our partners in this effort to ensure we provide vehicles to meet contract requirements and bring this life-saving technology to the field as quickly as possible," said Bob Kocher, president of Ideal Innovations, Inc.

The Bull™, an MRAP II armored combat vehicle, is manufactured on an existing military chassis, manufactured by Oshkosh Truck, designed for off-road operations with parts, logistics, manuals and training, all of which are currently available within the Department of Defense system as part of the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) Truck Program. The new vehicle features an undercarriage design with V-shaped plates that deflect, rather than absorb, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and mine blasts from below. The integrated design crew compartment, manufactured by Ceradyne, helps to protect the crew with an advanced armor designed to defeat IEDs and Explosively Formed Penetrators (EFPs), the most dangerous threats faced today by marines and soldiers in Iraq.

On October 2, 2007, I-3, Oshkosh Truck, and Ceradyne, Inc. announced that they had delivered their initial two test vehicles to the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center. The government solicitation to industry was posted on July 31, which gave vendors 60 days to submit their proposals and vehicles for blast and road testing. The positive results displayed by the initial test vehicles have paved the way for additional user testing on the 6 vehicles which will follow.

Ceradyne, Inc. Receives New ID/IQ Body Armor Order
Friday January 4, 7:30 am ET
Five-Year ID/IQ Order Estimated at a Maximum Value in Excess of $400 Million
Initial $4.9 Million Delivery Release

COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ceradyne, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRDN - News) has been awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) five-year order from the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. The order is estimated to have a maximum value in excess of $400 million. The initial delivery order against the ID/IQ contract is $4.9 million and is scheduled for delivery in early 2008.

The order is for the Family of Ballistic Plates for Body Armor Load Carriage System (BALCS). ID/IQ orders allow the government a great deal of flexibility as to exact quantities that will be ordered and timing. This ID/IQ order is estimated to have less than a $6 million minimum value and a maximum value in excess of $400 million. It is Ceradyne's policy to only book an order as firm backlog that has committed delivery dates, such as the above initial $4.9 million delivery order.

David P. Reed, Ceradyne President North American Operations, commented: "We are extremely pleased to have received this multi-year BALCS order from the Special Operations Command (SOCOM). We have been supplying lightweight ceramic armor to SOCOM since the late 1990's and believe our past history of high quality and on-time deliveries helped us in this recent 'win.' Our armor production capacity in Lexington, Kentucky, and Costa Mesa, California, will allow us to meet SOCOM's requirements. Based on past practice and non-binding conversations with the government, we believe there will be a series of delivery orders issued in 2008 against the blanket ID/IQ contract."

Ceradyne develops, manufactures and markets advanced technical ceramic products and components for defense, industrial, automotive/diesel and commercial applications. Additional information about the Company can be found at www.ceradyne.com.
