It is important to at least have a brief look at the economic and earnings calendars for the week... they may give trading ideas, explain certain market movements.. and keep you out of trouble.  ;)  Notice that there are a lot of earnings this week!

Charts:

The charts section gives a brief look at the indices and key sectors with technical analysis.  It helps to know the health of the market.  This is followed by a summary.

So always first.. NASDAQ:

To sum it up:
04/24/2006 - 04/28/2006

Earnings will continue to be the big influence this week.  The Nasdaq and Russel  headed down last week but the DJIA was able to climb... I'm thinking this week we may see more uni-directional movement from the indices.   >:D

Mostly everything is on neutral due to earnings.. GOLD and Oil remain bullish and the dollar looks weak.

Nasdaq - neutral
DJIA - neutral
S&P - neutral
NDX -  neutral
Russel - neutral

Oil - bullish
Gold - bullish
USD - bearish

Banks - bullish
Brokers - neutral/bearish
Semis - neutral
Drugs - neutral/bullish

Hi G,

Thanks again for your analysis!  I have recently exited a Real Estate fund  VGSIX.  Was considering going on the short side of that sector  with  SRPIX (Profund short real estate).
Would you have time to share your thoughts about the real estate sector?  Or alternatively  TA of SRPIX?

Thanks
