The day was interesting watching ARBA as the day went before earning's release. Thought maybe it might hold and begin to trade above 9.00 but when I seen it started to fall I decided to sell @ 8.71 then it ended at 9.00 for the day and thought maybe I made a mistake till I seen after hour's trading when I got home from work and seen it @8.35 now I think I made the right decision. It had a bad report. I should have sold @9.00 when I had the chance but still happy with where I sold it. Was bought @8.3199 on 10-05-06 The previous page will show where I entered if you want to see where I first posted on it.

Progress made in HIV vaccine development
Researchers have successfully tested two candidate vaccines that may eventually be used together to confer immunity against HIV infection. Their findings are published in the December 15 issue of The Journal of Infectious Diseases, now available online.

Barney S. Graham, MD, PhD, and colleagues from the National Institutes of Health IH Vaccine Research Center in Maryland, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, and GenVec Incorporated tested two possible HIV vaccines with the hope of producing an immune response in healthy, uninfected adults. One was a plasmid DNA-based vaccine expressing genes from three dominant HIV subtypes, and the second used recombinant adenovirus serotype 5 (rAd5) as a vector to deliver similar HIV strains.

"Both approaches operate by gene delivery of customized vaccine antigens that are produced by host cells to initiate an immune response. DNA is simple and does not have the problem of anti-vector immunity. However, DNA may be less potent than vector-based gene delivery strategies. Replication-defective rAd5 has the advantage of targeted, efficient gene delivery and high potency, but may be susceptible to anti-vector immunity," said Graham.

Both vaccines were tested in healthy uninfected adult volunteers. The DNA vaccine was found safe and well-tolerated. By week 12 following immunization, 97.5% of vaccinees experienced positive CD4 T cell responses and 40% experienced positive CD8 T cell responses.

The recombinant vector vaccine was also well-tolerated, but higher doses led to some adverse events such as pain and fever. By week 4 following immunization, 93.3% of vaccinees experienced positive CD4 T cell responses, and 60% experienced positive CD8 T cell responses.

"HIV-specific CD8 cell responses clear virus infected cells, and appear during the declining viremia following acute infection," explained Graham. "HIV-specific CD4 responses also peak early in infection; however this response diminishes soon after seroconversion. Maintenance of a functional HIV-specific CD4 T cell response correlates with long term non-progression of HIV disease."

Harriet L. Robinson, PhD, from Emory University and Kent J. Weinhold, PhD, from Duke University commented on the impact of these results in their accompanying editorial. "The DNA studies are a landmark for DNA-based vaccines in that they are the first to demonstrate a DNA vaccine successfully eliciting immune responses in essentially all vaccinated volunteers," they said. "The Ad5 recombinant HIV vaccine had both a higher percentage of responders and, overall, a higher magnitude of responses than the DNA vaccine."

The next step, according to Graham, is "to evaluate the combination of DNA priming and rAd5 boosting. Combining these distinct gene-delivery vaccination approaches has the potential to induce higher levels of T cell responses and a different quality of response than either approach by itself."

As Robinson and Weinhold add, the idea behind combining strategies is that "the vaccine uses DNA to prime the immune response and a replication defective recombinant adenovirus serotype 5 vector to boost responses."

While posting article about GNVC I noticed ZIXI below it. It's hard to keep up with all the buy and sell sometime's.
ZIXI I sold on 11-13-06 @1.12 for a loss after my I bought on 10-24-06 @1.20 I was sure of it trending higher but it started falling and when it hit 1.00 I was mad at myself for not selling before it got that low,," so important to use stop losses " and when it climbed back up on 11-13-06 I sold @1.12 which is my 8% sell loss I'm trying to make a rule for my trading.
But selling it resuled in two Losses the loss I took when I sold @1.12 and the loss I now would be gaining if I held it is now @1.41. Man you talk about getting hit bad twice in one week and now I'm lossing big on POTP bought on 10-31-06 @1.46 and is now trading around 1.00.
Three big hit's in one week. I'm still holding POTP figure now what the heck I'm going to hold forever if I half to to at least break even on it.

By the way ZIXI is in breakout mod,,check out chart

FDA Approves Silicone Gel-Filled Breast Implants
After In-Depth Evaluation
Agency Requiring 10 Years of Patient Follow-Up
After rigorous scientific review, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today approved the marketing of silicone gel-filled breast implants made by two companies for breast reconstruction in women of all ages and breast augmentation in women ages 22 and older.  The products are manufactured by Allergan Corp. (formerly Inamed Corp.), Irvine, Calif., and Mentor Corp., Santa Barbara, Calif.

"FDA has reviewed an extensive amount of data from clinical trials of women studied for up to four years, as well as a wealth of other information to determine the benefits and risks of these products," said Daniel Schultz, M.D., Director, Center for Devices and Radiological Health, FDA.  "The extensive body of scientific evidence provides reasonable assurance of the benefits and risks of these devices.  This information is available in the product labeling and will enable women and their physicians to make informed decisions."

Now that the products have been determined to be safe and effective, FDA will continue to monitor them by requiring each company to conduct a large postapproval study following about 40,000 women for 10 years after receiving breast implants.  FDA often requires postmarket studies to answer important questions that can only be answered once a product is in broader use, such as the incidence of rare adverse events.

FDA's decision to approve these implants was based on a thorough review of each company's clinical (core) and preclinical studies, a review of studies by independent scientific bodies and deliberations of advisory panels of outside experts that heard public comment from hundreds of stakeholders.  In addition, FDA conducted inspections of each company's manufacturing facilities to determine that they comply with FDA's Good Manufacturing Practices.  Some of the complications reported in the core studies included hardening of the area around the implant, breast pain, change in nipple sensation, implant rupture and the need for additional surgery.  However, the majority of women in these studies reported being satisfied with their implants.

In the past decade, a number of independent studies have examined whether silicone gel-filled breast implants are associated with connective tissue disease or cancer.  The studies, including a report by the Institute of Medicine, have concluded there is no convincing evidence that breast implants are associated with either of these diseases.  However, these issues will be addressed further in the postapproval studies conducted by the companies.

"The silicone breast implant is one of the most extensively studied medical devices," said Schultz.  "We now have a good understanding of what complications can occur and at what rates.  We also know that women who get these devices will probably need to have additional breast implant surgery at least once.  This is valuable information for women who may be considering these products."

Full information about the risks and benefits of the devices can be found in the package and patient labeling mandated by FDA.  The patient labeling outlines some of the important factors women should consider when deciding whether to get silicone gel-filled breast implants.  Some of these factors are: breast implants are not lifetime devices and a woman will likely need additional surgeries on her breast at least once over her lifetime; many of the changes to a woman's breast following implantation are irreversible; rupture of a silicone gel-filled breast implant is most often silent, which means that usually neither the woman nor her surgeon will know that her implants have ruptured; and a woman will need regular screening MRI examinations over her lifetime to determine if silent rupture has occurred.  The device labeling states that a woman should have her first MRI three years after her initial implant surgery and then every two years thereafter.  The cost of MRI screening over a woman's lifetime may exceed the cost of her initial surgery and may not be covered by medical insurance.  The labeling also states that if implant rupture is noted on an MRI, the implant should be removed and replaced, if needed.

FDA approved the silicone gel-filled breast implants with a number of conditions, including requiring each company to: conduct a large postapproval study; continue its core study through 10 years; conduct a focus group study of the patient labeling; continue laboratory studies to further characterize types of device failure; and track each implant in the event, for example, that health professionals and patients need to be notified of updated product information.

The postapproval studies will continue to gather information about the safety and effectiveness of the implants.  Information will be collected about rates of local complications, rates of connective tissue disease and its signs and symptoms, rates of neurological disease and its signs and symptoms, potential effects on offspring of women with breast implants, potential effects on reproduction and lactation, rates of cancer, rates of suicide, potential interference of breast implants with mammography, and MRI compliance and rupture rates.

The postapproval studies will be closely monitored by FDA.  FDA anticipates that data from the studies will provide important information for patients and physicians, and may lead to improvements in device labeling.

One play is a possible breakout but with any breakout alway's check volume to confirm investor's is interested in it. If breakout doesn't happen wait for pullback to previous support to enter and set stop loss right below where it is shown on chart and wait for it to hit resistance or stop loss to be hit.
So far now for two month's it's been trading within the sideway's trend that has formed and could make you some cash.
Any comment's is welcomed

It is now @ 26.05 and hit my sell signal with next support @25.00 but I would stay away from this one because of the Island top that was formed

PSUN : alert was given @18.56 and now @18.92 and ahigh since first alert @19.50 it might be getting ready to fill the gap but I look for this to bounce back up when it does or could possibly jump without filling gap. Still nowhere close to my sell signal but buy signal was given when gap was made. Would advise to sell and be prepared to re-enter when bounce happens just in case gap is being filled
