What about Penny Stocks on the Contest ?

To members who voted for Option 1 or 3, we would like suggestions for the rules when it comes to pennies (like volume restrictions, price restrictions, market cap, etc). All ideas will be welcome !

As you all know, there are many pennies out there, with low float and volume, and therefor it would be easy to manipulate price on the open in order to make a better entry/exit price for the contest, our goal with the restriction rules is to avoid that.

I like the idea of "penny" stocks in the contest, after all we are talking about a 1 month hold.

We would need to draw the line somewhere as to price and volume but as long as the stock has a fundemental or technical reason for inclusion, why not?

How about OTC stocks over a dollar or ? to be updated weekly during the contest by the buyer. No wild ass gueses (WAGS) allowed.

The story must be compelling and the chart must support the pick. Increasing volume over a short time should trump long term average volume for the pick to be allowed.

We would have a powerful watchlist if we do this right. It would be great if the individual picks could have their own threads to follow.
