Lantronix is one of those beat-up internet hardware/software stocks.
It has some insider buying, 5 buys withing the last 6 months, about 13% of the total insider ownership.
Cashflow is weak but improving.
It seems to have escaped penny stock oblivion and may do a nice climb.

Had a nice after hours move.....

LTRX has bounced nicely the last two trading days. On Thursday there were several blocks traded near the end of the day, the largest about 75K shares. The moment that happened the stock started moving up.

http://stockcharts.com/charts/gallery.html?LTRX

It looks like the MMs were accumulating shares for large customers as they manipulated the price down for several weeks. After those large buys, Scottrade restricted internet purchases on the stock to avoid manipulation. However, they will take orders over the phone and charge you internet prices. The restriction will last until Tuesday.

LTRX will report 3Q 2007 earnings on May 3, 2007 AH. Guidance for 3Q and 4Q is very strong. An analyst believes that LTRX is poised to grow significantly in the machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity industry which is expected to grow to $10B by 2010.

On February 28, 2007 LTRX reported record revenues and positive net income for 2Q 2007 and reiterated its aggressive guidance for the rest of 2007.

2Q 2007 EARNINGS SUMMARY AND INVESTMENT HIGHLIGHTS:

- Record Revenues of  $14.8M vs. $12.9M in 2Q 2006.....Beat analysts upper limit of $14.5M

- Net Income of $87K vs. $3.6M loss in 2Q 2006

- Reiterated revenue guidance of $58M - $60M or 12 - 15% growth over 2005

- Expects 3Q and 4Q 2007 to be profitable

- LTRX ended 2Q 2007 with $7.8M cash and ZERO debt

- LTRX increased R&D to $1.9M in 2Q 2007 from $1.6M in 2Q 2006 to fuel future growth

- LTRX is trading @ P/S of 1.5 vs. competitors trading between 3.5 and 5.5 P/S.

- Analysts covering the stock rate LTRX a 'BUY" with a $2.5 target.

This is an excerpt from 2Q earnings release:

LTRX reiterated its outlook for fiscal 2007 for the combination of Device Enablement and Device Management revenues to deliver year-over-year growth of approximately 20% compared to growth of 13% for the same product set in fiscal 2006. For the full fiscal year 2007, the Company continues to expect revenues in the range of $58 to $60 million, with increasing cash balances for the third and fourth fiscal quarters. The Company expects to achieve profitability from operations in the third or fourth fiscal quarter.

LTRX  offers investors the most leveraged way to participate in the developing machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity industry with 73% of its revenues from M2M sales. Computers generally have networking ability but machines do not. However, by 2010, an estimated 95% of all devices connected will not be computers, but rather machines or devices representing a $10 billion market opportunity (Source: Forrester).

J. M. Dutton in March, 2007 research report said: ..."We expect Lantronix's growth to accelerate over the intermediate term from the introduction of multiple products in the past two years, (13 in the past 12-months) including an important wired networking component (XPort Direct) priced under $20 that should broadly expand the market for networking devices. Although the industry is still in the development stage, Lantronix already offers a broad product line and has a highly experienced management team that we believe can capitalize on this market potential. We believe investors have failed to value the company relative to this growth potential. Consequently, we consider the shares undervalued at the recent price of $1.61. Our rating is Strong Speculative Buy with a 12-month target of $2.50."

Looks like LTRX will continue to move up. Up 8c in pre-market. Not a huge volume but unusual for this stock to get PM activity.

Keep an eye on it. Extremely undervalued IMO.
