PTSC traded a number of 300k, 400k, 500k and a 1 million share trades on Friday with no news.  So who knows something?  Perhaps it is Intel or perhaps AMD hedging their self interest.  Perhaps someone else.

The stock closed strong with nice volume into the close and on the high of the day .... a Friday before a three day weekend !!!  That is a time when most traders want to take profits not open new large positions.  PTSC has had 50 percent moves up from this level in the last six months.  Is this show time once again?   ???

A very possible play on volatility on Tuesday.  The 50dma was breached on Fridays close. The five minute candlestick chart shows two distinct moves on Friday.

... with the chart of PTSC. I like the action, white marubozu with strong volume. No news at all? No apparent reason behind the move?

Thanks for the pick !

AussieTrader

It's a penny, so caveat emptor, nice vol and candle Friday, entering resistance area, if it clears $0.125 then gap to $0.17 and spikes above up to $0.29 are in play.

More news out Yesterday................

SAN DIEGO, Jun 15, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Patriot Scientific Corporation (PTSC, Trade), a high-tech intellectual properties company working in the advanced microprocessor field, has named long-time board member David H. Pohl to the newly-created position of Chairman, CEO and President of Patriot Scientific.

"With the recent excitement surrounding our powerful new marketing opportunity created by our alliance with the TPL Group," Pohl said, "and with the revenue foundation that the new agreement provides for us to build upon -- we want to continue to move forward in achieving success and increase of shareholder value. This company is now poised and positioned to aggressively commercialize and license our valuable intellectual property portfolio."

Pohl will lay a foundation for future business by working closely with the Board to refine and implement the Board's vision in a forward-looking and comprehensive business plan, one that redefines the company and focuses Patriot on a number of future revenue opportunities. In assuming this new leadership role, Pohl draws on years of experience with Patriot, as well as decades of experience guiding new - often high-technology - business ventures. Pohl was most recently Of Counsel with the Encinitas, based law firm of Herold & Sager and was at one time a senior attorney with the large, prestigious national firm of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue, Ohio. He has served on Patriot's Board since 2001, and before that, served as a strategic business consultant for the firm. From 2001 to 2002, Pohl served as Vice President of Administration and Corporate Secretary for Patriot. As Board Chairman, Pohl replaces former Chairman Don Bernier, who resigned from the Board in December 2004.

Several recent and significant changes inspire this energized new direction. These include the company's first-ever profitable quarter this year, providing business development resources not previously available. Adding to that is a dramatic new agreement, announced last week, with The TPL Group, bringing to an end years of bitter legal disputes over the ownership of seven core-technology microprocessor patents. In addition, Patriot recently received independent validation of the performance of two new ultra-low-power array microprocessor technologies, IGNITE(TM) and INFLAME(TM). Taken together, these dramatic market changes prompted the Board's actions, creating an opportunity to move Patriot in a vigorous new marketplace direction.

"The agreement with the TPL Group last week changed the map for Patriot Scientific," Pohl explained. "Instead of our resources being caught up in litigation - and our being known as 'that little guy who's suing all the big guys,' we are now once again what we had always intended to be - an aggressive, innovative and dynamic intellectual properties company focusing on the international microprocessor and wireless market. Patriot is now anticipating a strong revenue stream that will enable it to focus its resources on effectively analyzing, developing and commercializing applications based on its patent portfolio, as well as on related business opportunities."

Patriot Scientific CEO and President Jeff Wallin and CFO Lowell Giffhorn have left the Company although Giffhorn remains on the Board.

"Our previous management performed well in a very difficult environment; in doing so, they helped the company during some demanding times," Pohl said. "However, our new opportunities require us to refocus Patriot Scientific, and the Board felt that a new and different management style was in the best interest of both the Company and our shareholders. Patriot Scientific will have a newly-focused business strategy, and it was the Board's opinion that new leadership will be required to see that strategy through. This is likely to include adding some new directors to enhance our current Board."

Most recently at Herold & Sager, and during the past decade, Pohl advised clients on legal and financial issues as well as strategic considerations affecting business and marketing decisions; created licensing agreements and dealt with strategic intellectual property issues for software manufacturing and sales. In addition he worked with the licensing of rights to use proprietary technology for telecommunications, marketing and e-commerce companies.

Pohl has a strong background in areas of financial corporate governance and leadership in entrepreneurial organizations, with specific focus on corporate financial responsibility, as well as business acquisitions. In the height of the last decade's high-technology growth Pohl served as Special Counsel to the Attorney General of Ohio. In that role, he advised the state's elected leaders on issues regarding entrepreneurial investments by state pension funds. Based on his leadership role and experience in financial services and governmental affairs, he has testified before Congress on behalf of the American Financial Services Association and helped to shape lending laws and regulations at both the state and Federal levels.

Previously Pohl helped lead members of publicly-traded Security Pacific Financial (now part of Bank of America) and the Gibraltar Financial Group (OTC.GFCN.PK) - both as they evolved out of traditional industry roles and into more multi-market financial organizations.

In a move to vigorously reach out to potential technology and applications partners, Pohl and the Board have retained Attention, a high-tech public relations/marketing communications firm.

"Attention has a reputation for 'getting the word out,' as well as showcasing companies to editors and reporters in the press," Pohl explained. "With their innovative media relations programs, Attention will help us elevate both public and media awareness of Patriot - and of our intellectual property product lines. At the same time that Attention is helping shape our market image and position, micro-cap experts at Hawk & Associates will continue to provide us invaluable investor-related support."

hI,

fundamentals :
Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTCBB:PTSC) has emerged as an effective and dynamic intellectual property company, developing and marketing innovative and proprietary semiconductor technologies. The company's portfolio of proprietary designs encompasses what is believed to be fundamental ultra-low-power array microprocessor technology, as well as pending patents designed to protect Patriot's proprietary technology and architecture.

Patriot Scientific Technologies increased 22% from its yesterday close of $0.095. It was an active day in trading for the company as it experienced a higher than average day in volume with more than 9 million shares changing hands. Recent development of this action stems from an announcement made by the company that they entered into a $10 million dollar licensing agreement with Intel Corporation to provide Intel with licensed access to Patriot's suite of patents.

According to statements made in Patriot's most recently-issued 10-Q, these patents represent the fundamental core technology behind virtually every microprocessor manufactured since 1995. Earlier in 2005, Patriot Scientific had previously licensed this same technology to Advanced Micro Devices Incorporated. With the signing of these licenses, which resulted in aggregate revenues of approximately $13 million, Patriot does not need to rely upon equity and other types of financing to fund its operations - as it has in the past which is positive news for investors.

Patriot's patented intellectual property is used in a wide variety of end-user products including personal computers, servers, workstations, home theater systems, digital TVs, video games, DVD Recorders/Players, mobile handsets and automotive electronics. Global sales of end products deploying chips using technologies protected by these jointly held patents are estimated to be greater than $200 billion annually. In addition to these licensing and joint venture operations, Patriot is engaging industry technical and marketing experts to evaluate Ignite- the company's small, high-speed, low-power consumption microprocessor - and Inflame, its dramatic array microprocessor technology.

Patriot's Chairman, CEO and President David Pohl go on to explain, "We believe these agreements represent continued legal and marketplace validation of Patriot's position that our patented intellectual property has been - and is being - infringed upon by major microprocessor manufacturers, as well as by their OEM clients. Based on current projections, our licensing revenue in Q1 should provide us with the full level of anticipated operating capital needed to support our operations during all of FY 2006."

In addition, during Q1 2006, Patriot also entered into a series of agreements with The TPL Group

Press Release   Source: Patriot Scientific Corporation

Patriot Scientific Corporation Announces Unprecedented Microcap Dividend
Tuesday February 14, 9:42 am ET

SAN DIEGO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 14, 2006--In a move virtually unprecedented among Microcap stocks, Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTCBB: PTSC.OB - News) - a high-tech intellectual properties Company that specializes in developing and licensing high-performance ultra-low power microprocessor technology - today announced that it will issue a cash dividend of $0.02 per share of common stock for shareholders and qualified warrant holders of record as of February 24, 2006. The dividend is payable March 22, 2006.

This dramatic announcement follows closely on the heels of the Company's announcement last week of a buy-back program for up to 20 million stock warrants and the conversion and retirement of all outstanding debentures. Final information as to the number of shareholders and outstanding shares will be provided by the Company's transfer agent as of the record date, but based upon current information and estimates the Company will set aside funds of approximately $7million or more for payment of the dividend from its currently available cash and cash equivalents that amount to approximately $17 million.

This announcement is especially significant because - until less than 12 months ago - Patriot had never shown a quarterly profit, and had never realized significant revenue from its 10-patent portfolio of seminal microprocessor innovations. Since February of last year, the Company's jointly owned patent portfolio has been successfully licensed to Intel, HP and AMD - in the process, generating nearly $24 million in revenue for Patriot. Based on these licenses and other key factors covered in recent SEC filings, Patriot Scientific currently has a market cap of approximately $64 million dollars.

With these successful license negotiations as precedent, the Company - through its marketing alliance with The TPL Group's Alliacense division, - is actively and confidently negotiating for licenses with other U.S. and foreign companies whose products include high speed microprocessors - more than 150 of which were put on notice of likely infringement - and that includes practically every high-tech consumer electronics manufacturer and systems integrator in the global marketplace.

"We are pleased to be in the strong financial position that enables us to offer our loyal shareholders this significant dividend," said David H. Pohl, Chairman and CEO of Patriot Scientific. "The Company strongly believes that more licensing deals and related revenues are likely, although none are assured," Pohl continued. "Patriot Scientific's Board of Directors will consider and decide whether to take such dividend payment actions in the future, based on future revenues and the financial condition of the Company, as well as market conditions and other factors."

Pohl also said that, "This dividend payment, which is rare in the arena of microcap companies, is another important step toward evidencing Patriot Scientific's current financial strength and the fact that the Board and management firmly believe in the Company's future potential. During the past 12 months, the Company has undergone significant changes in management and operating strategy. As a result of those changes and the licensing revenues related to our jointly owned patent portfolio we are now in a favorable cash position, and we are using some of that cash to pay out our first-ever dividend to shareholders."

The action by Patriot Scientific to issue this dividend - and also last week's decision to retire the debentures and buy back what could amount to up to approximately 20 percent of the Company's total outstanding stock warrants at this juncture - were driven by the same impetus that has guided other strategic re-organizational moves that began in 2005. Last year the Company changed both its executive team and the Company's strategic direction, including the signing of a significant agreement with The TPL Group regarding joint ownership and marketing of its patent portfolio.

Patriot Scientific received licensing revenues of $13 million in 2005. The Company received distribution of an additional $10 million in January of 2006 as a result of a license transaction with systems manufacturer HP regarding Patriot's jointly owned patent portfolio.

"The far-reaching changes in 2005 helped pave the way for new growth-oriented initiatives in 2006," Pohl said. "These changes are positive for Patriot. We continue to move forward with the paramount goal of enhancing shareholder value by prudently addressing Company fundamentals and growing the business."
