Looking at the 1 year chart it has been in this trading range
of $3 to $5 for the past 9 months or so.
Rising EMA's,analyst upgrade,good volume,up volume compared
to total volume indicates accumulation.

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 2006--Further expanding its high-performance ECLinPS MAX(TM) family of clock and data management solutions, ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN - News) today introduced the NB6L11S and NB6N14S -- two highly accurate, fully differential interface ICs. The devices are designed for precise clock management of telecommunications, networking, high-end computing, and automated test equipment (ATE) applications.


Both devices combine ON Semiconductor's cutting-edge bipolar capability with an LVDS-compatible output structure, enabling them to interface directly with LVDS devices without sacrificing performance. In addition, both devices utilize the ON Semiconductor's AnyLevel(TM) input structure, which provides seamless interfacing with LVPECL, CML, LVCMOS, LVTTL, or LVDS signals and offers true design flexibility.

The NB6L11S is a differential 1:2 Clock or Data translator and distribution device, with a maximum input clock frequency of greater than 2.0 gigahertz (GHz), and jitter of 500 femtoseconds (fs) typical. The device operates at Vcc of 2.5 volts (V), and is packaged in a Pb-free QFN-16. The NB6L11SMNR2G is priced at $3.50 per unit in 3,000-piece quantities.

The NB6N14S is a differential 1:4 Clock or Data translator and distribution device with a maximum input clock frequency of greater than 2.0 GHz, and jitter of 500 fs typical. The device operates at Vcc of 3.3 V, and is packaged in a Pb-free QFN-16. NB6L14SMNR2G is priced at $4.00 per unit in 3,000-piece quantities.

On Semi 3Q Profit Up More Than Threefold

On Semiconductor Third Quarter Results Are Impressive, but Next Quarter Looks Weaker


PHOENIX (AP) -- On Semiconductor Corp. said Thursday third-quarter profit increased more than threefold from last year, but warned fourth-quarter sales would not meet analysts' expectations.
Income for the quarter was $76.8 million, or 23 cents per share, versus $23.5 million, or 6 cents per share, last year.


Revenue for the quarter was $420.9 million, up 34 percent from $313.6 million in sales last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expected the company to post earnings, on average, of 20 cents per share on $409.6 million in sales.

Revenue during the quarter included about $372.2 million of product sales and around $48.7 million of manufacturing services revenue.

Looking forward, the company projected fourth-quarter sales of $390 million to $400 million, falling short of analysts' current fourth-quarter expectation for $409.6 million in sales.

"Backlog levels at the beginning of the fourth quarter were down from backlog levels at the beginning of the third quarter of 2006, and represented over 90 percent of our anticipated fourth quarter 2006 revenues," said Keith Jackson, ON Semiconductor president and chief executive.

Shares of On Semiconductor rose 16 cents, or 2.6 percent, to $6.40 in after-hours trading.

On Semiconductor seeks bank amendment; to buy back shares

Nov 29 (Reuters) - On Semiconductor Corp. (ONNN.O: Quote, Profile, Research) on Wednesday said it was seeking an amendment of its senior secured credit facility to increase its financial flexibility.

The maker of power-management microchips in a statement said the amendement would enable it to replace a portion of its bank debt and allow the expenditure of up to $300 million to buyback shares.

The company also said its board authorized the repurchase up to 50 million common shares. (Reporting by Deepti Chaudhary in Bangalore)
