BUSINESS SUMMARY
Force Protection, Inc. engages in the design, manufacture, and marketing of mine and blast protected vehicles in the United States, South Africa, and England. The company's vehicles are designed to protect personnel during transport, removal of unexploded ordnance, rout clearance, humanitarian de-mining, and other missions that require protection from landmines and hostile fire. Its products include Buffalo, a heavy weight vehicle designed principally for mine clearing activities; and Cougar, which is used for urban patrol, route clearance support, utility transport, and special unit activities. Force Protection is headquartered in Ladson, South Carolina.

Iraq is still a very dangerous place to be. A lot of bombings going on, people are dying, and even the vehicles uses by US Marines & Army are not tough enough to withstand the bomb blast. That is why (FRPT) Force protection Inc. comes into play. Their Truck Transporter, Fully armored can withstand bomb blast. Force protection Inc. was featured recently in Discovery Channel, CBS, CNN, FOX, & CNBC.

Force Protection's Buffalo mine clearance and Cougar EOD and combat team transport vehicle series have been used by U.S. and Coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan for nearly three years. More than 90 vehicles are currently in use in active operations. That number is expected to more than double in the second quarter of 2006.

Force Protection delivered more than 70 vehicles during 2005 alone, an increase of 500 percent from the previous year. Its workforce, which stood at 180 at the end of 2004, has increased to more than 300. Production capacity has also increased, with the company producing three vehicles per week, up from less than one vehicle per week a year ago

National Review Online Features Force Protection Blast Protection Technology
Wednesday December 21, 3:51 pm ET

LADSON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 21, 2005--A prominent Web site, National Review Online, said today that Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB:FRPT - News) and its specialty armored vehicle "may well be the replacement for the up-armored Humvee" in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.

NRO noted that Force Protection produces larger-scale vehicles than the Humvee - the Buffalo mine clearance vehicle and the Cougar combat engineer and EOD team transport - and is developing a Mine-protected Utility Vehicle/Rapid Deployable (MUV-R) as a lighter-weight personnel carrier that incorporates the same protective capabilities as its larger counterparts. There have been no fatalities in Force Protection vehicles in more than two years of use by U.S. forces.

National Review cited Force Protection's development of the MUV-R as a new armored vehicle with the same speed, climb, and general off-road performance capabilities as the Humvee. At 10 to 12 tons, the MUV-R is designed to meet these requirements as well as offer mine and blast protection. In addition, it incorporates a roof-mounted weapons system that is remotely controlled by the right front-seat passenger.

"A 360-degree battlefield requires vehicles small enough to enable a full range of motion and strong enough to take the punch of an IED," said Force Protection Vice President Michael Aldrich. "A lighter weight troop carrier is designed to fill this critical role. The MUV-R is being developed with that purpose in mind, and will likely be ready for active operations near the end of 2006."

South Carolina-based Force Protection's vehicles have been used by all branches of the military in mine clearance, EOD and Combat Engineer team operations in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2003.

Force Protection's infrastructure, workforce, and production capacity have expanded dramatically since 2003. The addition of Hamilton is the company's latest step to build a strong financial team to plan, analyze, and control its continued growth.

READ THIS ARTICLE:
As roadside bombs remain the No. 1 killer of U.S. troops in Iraq, the route-clearing missions are of vital importance in a city that continues to be a battleground. On some nights, crews find as many as five roadside bombs in just a few hours. On other nights, they come up empty-handed.

Hey Terlisa,

This is a local company here in Charleston, when they were at the old navy base here I got a chance to see the operation, a friend had a business in the same building. I wasn't impressed, they were basically just welding onto standard truck chassis. This was at the height of the uproar over the lack of protection in the current Humvees and they got a lot of press at the time. They were seen as a stop gap measure until all the up armored Humvees were deployed. Just from the people I know that worked for them they were known for paying low wages and had a high turnover rate.

Since their move (down the street from my parents) to the old GE Turbine plant
in Ladson I have not heard much about them but will go over and see what is new.

The stock may move in the short term and a new contract is good. This may be a good play but I would watch for news about some of the larger companies coming out with purpose built armored vehicles instead of FRPT's off the shelf modified vehicles. This is a small company and when the big boys come out with a purpose built vehicle it will not be good for this company.

Long term no, but count me in for the short term.

Thanks boatguy@

Ha, ha, ha.... never been wrong, never been right...just the right time baby ;)
not too bad to make 30% profit in 3 days...I will hold for now, i got this strong feeling this baby will come up @ 1.70 range or maybe $2 but i will watch carefully not to let this profit turn into a loss.... CHIAO BABY!!! ;) :D ;D

Terliso

Ok.. let's look deeper on the chart of FRPT & decide where to take profit ;)
--- There is Resistance around $1.70.... I think 1.40-1.50 is reasonable to take profit (i'll take it) ;)
-- FRPT close @ HOD @ $1.32 ;) I think this baby will rock some more on monday

I'm currently sitting @ 32% profit in 3 sessions ;)

Terliso

Prepare to take profit ;) If things goes OK @ open ...(HOLD)... I still want to see FRPT goes to 1.60 - 1.70 range .... Volume still strong you know ;) :D ;D

The last two candlesticks formed a Bearish (Doji) Star Pattern . This is a bearish reversal pattern that marks a potential change in trend. However, its reliability is not very high and it requires confirmation.

applaud for yor analysis and congrats to your profits

FRPT: Integrated Logistics Support Reports Dramatic Expansion
Tuesday , January 24, 2006 08:44 ET

Force Protection, Inc. (FRPT) reported a dramatic increase in its Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) business segment. ILS includes spare parts, battle damage repair, and preventive maintenance, as well as forward positioning of critical vehicle components. "This part of our business is growing rapidly," said Force Protection ILS Vice President Murray Hammick. "When you realize that the company's total revenue for fiscal year 2004 was less than the net total revenue generated by ILS alone in 2005, it gets quite exciting."

As part of contracts with both the U.S. Army and the Marine Corps, Force Protection has sent 19 of its employees to Iraq as field service representatives. "The number of field service representatives is growing monthly," noted Hammick. "We are seeing rapid growth as the rate of vehicle operations increases."

Terliso

Thanks & applaud for the info La-onda ;).....

FRPT currently up 7.46%...& i'm still holding it ;)
