50ma will be taken out on monday. 5ma continues to fall and will soon drop below the 50ma, 20ma will soon start a downward trend. cmf is on its way back down to the -.50-.70 range again. macd will soon go negative... i let myself be blinded by this companies service and what i thought was its actual value. normally with pinks youre isolated from their service, in fact, usually they dont even do anything. this one is so easily compared to netflix that you really think youve got something, but its no netflix... yet. dont let the pr's and hope keep blinding you. ive ignored the technicals for too long thinking that news at any time would override them... well that was naive. time to start looking at the charts, and it doesnt look good. it makes me sick, but i think this will trend down to .005.  :-\

i applaud the regulars on here that flipped and studied the charts. fill the gap and so on. i wont make this mistake again. i plan on buying in again at some point later this year. but i need to see whats going on with the A/S and how well the cc deal actually goes.

Godspeed, if GZFX isn't sucking up a whole lot of portfolio room for you (And a penny like this  shouldn't), I think the general idea is to hold onto it.  Unless you absolutely need the money, I'd wait it out.  Patience has paid off on this guy before, so waiting another few months probably won't hurt.
However, if you're into the idea of flipping and making quick profits like many are, then one might just want to take the loss and bail.
GZFX is just more of a "Go with the flow" pick for me.  I don't really mind it's short term action, I'm just more interested to see where this guy ends up in the future.
Honestly, GZFX should be adding a ton more suscribers throughout the year.  They're moving in all the right directions right now, and I don't think they can really worry about investors right now (Which is why we're getting semi-screwed :P)
I don't really like flipping this stock that much, it's been somewhat of a pain, because it never really reacts how we think it will.  I've pulled off a few good trades in the past, but to me, the ideal thing is to just let it ride.

yea, ive been holding since i think december... pretty long time. but ive seen this stock dive below a penny before, and i rode it out. this time, i just couldnt stomach holding when i knew it was going to go below a penny again. so i sold my whole position. i still like the company, and ill probably buy in again, i just knew that i wasnt going to make money on it soon, so holding just didnt make sense. if youre fine not making short term profits, then just hold and dont look at it til november (not that this is guaranteed profit either), but im putting my gzfx money in something else.

cheers.

Godspeed, I agree.

It will also further decline when the Q arrives.  Holding it now when all indicators point down is asking to lose money.

The hopes of large returns vanished when the major dilution set it.  So many people are waiting for some news to just sell and get out of GZFX right now.  So any news is hit hard with even more selling.  A vicious cycle.

And other boards are pointing out that GZFX Agreement with Golden Gate allows for Short Selling! This is not good because it can already be shorted in Berlin.

The price looks to head well below a penny in the weeks ahead.
Just one opinion, do the research

Yes, godspeed06.  It's about being on the right side of the trade of being able to buy low and selling high.  With GZFX price so low (penny per share) you can do "fractional" trading where a small change (a few 1/10th or even 1/100th of a penny) translates to several hundreds to thousands of dollars when traded in 100K to 1 million share blocks.

If you look at GZFX intraday charts the past few weeks, they are indicative of many trading intraday or profit taking as GZFX makes gains.

fill_the_gap, as we both posted before there are many factors, such as the outstanding shares and shares GameZnFlix already released to raise capital, that are concerning many and I attribute these factors to GZFX not having attained higher share prices.  As long as these concerns exist, it will influence future share price of GZFX.

Calvin87, the longs that are willing to wait out the implementation of nationwide rollout with Circuit City starting May and the gradual growth of GameZnFlix will have some time to wait.  Unfortunately, there are more traders than investors on finance message boards (Yahoo, Raging Bull, Investors Hub, etc.) so the postings will lean to stock trade related comments than longer-term investing.  The stock traders (like me and many on 3SOF) do not invest and we look for trades to turn a profit on short/mid-term basis.  With that said, GameZnFlix as a new startup company does hold many promises for future growth.  I believe as time passes this year, we will see and know how the long-term prospects for this company will play out.

As for me, as a short-term swing trader by heart, I will continue to monitor the stock (among many) and continue to trade on the rise/fall cycles based on technicals.

lana2b,

As fill_the_gap and I posted previously, there are many factors that concern those trading GZFX on a short/mid-term basis, such as the outstanding shares and amount of shares GameZnFlix management has and will sell to raise working capital now and in the future.  And these factors have overshadowed otherwise a great promise of a startup company going nationwide with Circuit City.  But this is how micro/small cap startup companies raise money until they can generate revenue that can sustain their operations - by selling shares.

Good news is that these concerns are now common knowledge and "on the table" for everyone to see.  From now on, GZFX will be traded with all these factors known up front.

My take of GZFX is this.

Technically, GZFX has demonstrated recent 50% - 100%+ gains, and many have taken profit when the selling opportunities presented themselves.  Those that wanted to sell, I am quite certain that they have already sold by now.  Those that are still holding GZFX shares may primarily be comprised of long-term "fans" of GameZnFlix (long-term investors) or those that missed out on the selling opportunities like yourself.

What you should consider is this.  Many that made money with GZFX will be looking for another bottoming.  If you look at the buy/sell chart below, you can see the MACD/RSI rise/fall cycles that correspond with the rise/fall cycles of stock price.  And yes, the 20/50/200 day Moving Averages are now all going positive.

If history repeats itself with GZFX, then rebound of MACD/RSI with corresponding price gains may attract those that traded GZFX previously.  If GZFX does not rebound, then price may drop even further.  However, if GZFX rebounds with continuing gains (technical analysis was developed to describe stock behavior, but as more and more traders buy/sell according to technicals, it becomes a "self-fulfilling prophesy") there may be a large influx of buying to ride the "next" trade with GZFX.

I am quite certain that most of those who bought GZFX sub-one penny probably have taken profit by now (and may have bought/sold GZFX several times already).  There's been a lot of talk if GZFX will go below a penny on finance MBs.  That depends on how low traders are willing to sell on loss.  If majority of holders aren't willing to sell on loss or low, then buying pressure will overcome sellers.  Penny stocks, unlike listed stocks (NYSE, Nasdaq, AMEX, etc.) do not require a seller for every buyer.  New buyers can buy their shares directly.  So, to an extent, GameZnFlix management "controls" whether GZFX share price rises or falls by controlling the amount of outstanding shares they choose to sell directly.

The positive developments and continuing progress of GameZnFlix going nationwide with Circuit City have not changed.  And for this short-term swing trader, I will be monitoring GZFX very closely next week for MACD/RSI bottoming (I am sure so will many other traders as well).  ;)

So, if you are holding GZFX shares, I would recommend that you see how next week unfolds.

I hope I helped.

Hm, thanks for some reassurances, I have been berating myself for being the GZFX Bagholder Poster Child... mostly out of a sense of irritation that the $ is locked up while I wait for brighter days at a time when playing ethanol stocks would be much more fun with my allocated MadMoney.  This stock is definitely one to hold on to if possible, evidenced by its previous incredible spikes - and it is one of those spikes that I await (as I am sure many are) to offload a decent chunk of my position.  I will hold about a third, primarily because of the historical lessons with brick-n-mortar video rental stores when Tower Records first began offering movie rentals (at least in SoCal) over 20 years ago.  At the time, people were ridiculing the concept of renting a movie for a couple of bucks a day, though purchasing a movie then cost around $45-$90 on VHS, BETA or Laserdisk.  Look how many street corners have a Hollywood Video and a Blockbuster in even smaller urban centers today.  Obviously it has been (becoming) harder to remain profitable, but as yet Netflix holds a nearly exclusive position with its business model.  Blockbuster is making inroads, but I think in a year or two GZFX can be well positioned to compete with them as equals.  Perhaps we (unintentional) longs have to have this same longer-term outlook on our holdings?  I'm behind the concept and the management so far - the only wish I have is that once their sub base increases that they begin retiring some of the 25b new shares.
I can hope...

looks like ready to play again   higher bottems :)

godspeed06

"higher bottems"? are you watching the same stock as everyone else.

bohemian, believing that this company will grow and become a real national competitor is fine... it might. but you even said it yourself that it might take two years. if you chose to flip this stock for two years... think of how many times youd double your shares. i dont foresee this stock leaving the penny land for a long time which means it will continue to be volatile making it a great target for flipping. plus youve been a long for a while which means you are used to how it trades and the overall sentiment of the shareholders. i just cant see this as a stock that should simply be held. its trending DOWN, not up. id suggest flipping.

it closed at .009 today, but i dont see that holding, macd just went negative, 10day cmf is still negative, theres no real support til the .007 then .005 range from previous lows.the entire day was traded below the 50ma, rsi is trending down as is the 5ma. the 20ma is beginning to drop as well. looks like it will continue to decline. there might be a few up days but they will be outweighed by the down days. thats just how this stock is.

Interesting repost from Raging Bull MB:

"The U.S. Supreme Court has begun to show a greater interest in patent cases. And last week, a Congressional subcommittee held a hearing on whether questionable patents are hurting the economy. Meanwhile, home-movie fans will have a front-row seat as the drama between Netflix and Blockbuster plays out."  More at link.

Business models have been copied left and right, throughout US history. They've never been protected, and neither have things like queues.

For example, McDonalds' business model was copied by Burger King, Arbys, Wendy's, etc. They may have certain recipes that are protected, but the general idea of fast food franchises has been replicated many times over.

Furthermore, somewhat akin to Netflix' Que feature, the "drive-through window" was not a patent protected idea. One fast-food place started using it, and then everyone else did.

This suit is an desperate act aimed at preserving proft margins that will shrink as growth slows and competition increases.

It's also having a bad impact on NFLX' image. I've seen several NFLX customers who posted that they are dropping NFLX, because they find this suit so distateful.

Today for GZFX was typical to the trend it's been having lately - 3 days of relatively strong selling, followed by a very small rebound day.  I wouldn't really count on today's action as a sign of change until we see what happens tomorrow.  I get the feeling it hasn't really bottomed out, but then again, it's been hit really pretty strongly over the last two weeks.

i agree with calvin. and as for livelifes chart - i think youre mixing up a few buy signals with sell signals.  ??? the price hasnt begun to bottom yet, its still falling. the macd is negative, its not negative to positive and its also falling not bottoming. its making a straight line in a downward trend. the 5ma also hasnt begun to bottom, and the 20ma is flattening at the top and about to turn down... the rsi is the only thing showing somewhat of a buy signal and its a weak one at that. today didnt show much of anything, it was green but barely. it was traded within yesterdays trading range and ended with the open and close straddling the middle. this shows indecisiveness in the market but unfortunately looking at the previous week or so its obvious the downward trend is the stronger and this stock has never been one to trend up. it will have a few sparse up days, but until something real happens there wont be a whole lot of green. its almost funny how this stock is moving right now. today was the third cycle in a row of three red days with one small up day with the open and close straddling the middle of the trading range (spinning top?). its a perfect pattern. if tomorrow follows suit it will close around .0086-.0087, thats my guess at least.

Calvin87 and godspeed06, thanks for the comments.

Those that are "uncertain" and looking for more positive rebound indicators can wait and buy when more "buy" indicators are present.

I have been trading GZFX since last November and following are my reasons for buying back GZFX:

Since last July, I found that MACD is probably the most accurate indicator to use to make BUY/SELL points.  I use MACD bottoms and peaks to chart my simplified BUY/SELL charts and generally it is right on target (with some small deviations).

If you look at MACD closely, it has bottomed and rebounded today.  The "Negative to Positive" MACD indicator on BUY column represents MACD rebounding and going from negative to positive territory even though it is still in the negative territory.  (Yes, I spent a lot of time looking at charts before I came up with this MACD BUY indicator as I developed the short-term swing trading template).

If you look at the BUY/SELL chart below, you will find that GZFX has been taking profit early as RSI approached 60 and rebounded at RSI 40.  And that's why I decided to buy back.

As always, time will tell.

See you at market open.  ;)

joet,

All I can go by are the past performance data of stocks.

When I monitor my 20-40 group of stocks, I look for past technical trade patterns.  Perhaps I can add the previous RSI buy/sell points to the swing trading templates in the future.  ;)

Typically, stocks rebound with RSI between 30-50.  Some stocks rebound off 50 and some will dip all the way down to 30 before rebounding.  And most stocks will peak with RSI 70-80+ and some will peak early at RSI 60+.  RSI and MACD are just mathematical representations based on past trading behavior/patterns of stocks.

When stocks I monitor rebound and peak, I look closely at the MACD bottoms and peaks.  At present, I am using the simple BUY/SELL chart based on MACD bottoms/peaks to be the primary indicator, which has demonstrated to me to be the most accurate BUY/SELL indicator.

GZFX recently demonstrated that it will rebound off RSI 40 and peak at 60-70.  That's why I believe GZFX has bottomed and with corresponding MACD bottom yesterday and I bought.  Was Tuesday the bottom and yesterday true rebound point?  Time will tell.
