Hi everybody!

This post is just a sort of guide line for the use of this message board.

A Few Tips for better using the board:
- Before posting a new topic about a stock, use the Search Feature to find any Topic already started with the same Ticker that meets your subject. That way, we assemble our subjects together, and it's a lot easier for everybody to discuss them. Post your topic on the right board. Note: The Administrators and moderators can merge topics together if they think it's better for the community, they can also move topics from one board to another.
- You can start a new topic about a stock already discussed on our board, only if you think you are doing a completely different approach, that does nothing to do with the other topics on that specific ticker.
- If you are posting a Stock Pick, try to give some information, reasons why you are picking that stock? A trading plan, a target or some charts or links. The more information you post, the better for our community and you probably you'll receive more «applaud» points on your rating. Avoid to post only the ticker, otherwise the Stock Picking board would be like a Ticker dump board ;)

Some few rules about our boards:

1)   The Board «3 Stocks on Fire», is the place where David Randolph will post his recommendations about the usual 3 stocks he recommended or where somebody from our team will post any recommendation or advice about our trading strategy. We do allow everybody to reply to this topics, but, we do not allow any topic posting here, so we will move all the posts to the other boards, you should only reply here.
2)   The board «Stock picking», is where we receive our members pick's, or by other words, any recommendation from our members. Any post that includes some recommendation (buy/sell) should be posted here. Please don't start a new topic to ask questions about some stock, you should do that on the «Stock Talking» board. Also, don't post Picks on OTCBB or Pink Sheet stocks, use the «Penny Stock Picking» instead.
3)         The Board «Penny Stock Picking». Exactly the same as «Stock Picking», but only for Penny Stocks, by «Penny» we don't mean stocks under 1$, but OTCBB and Pink Sheets stocks. (EX: A stock traded on Nasdaq or AMEX, that is under 1$, should not be posted here).
4)   The board «Stock Talking», is where we suggest posts about stocks in a general point of view, we mean, stocks that you want to talk about, but you are not (yet) making a direct recommendation, or stocks that you just want to ear some feedback.
5)   The board «Major World Indices», is the place where we suggest to post opinions about the indices, like NDX, COMPX, DJI, S&P500, DAX, NIKKEY, etc. Or ETF stocks like QQQQ, SPY, DIA, etc.
6)   The board «Money Markets» is where you should post opinions about the Forex Markets.

Note: Our team reserves the right to move the messages whenever we think that they are not on the most appropriated board.

Now, about some of the Forum features:
-   The «Applaud» and «Smite» features, that you can click when you are reading a post, should be used with the main goal of motivating the post author to continue good post quality. This means, that whenever you read a good post, you should vote «applaud» in order to give the author a good feedback. Every «applaud» will increase the poster Rating in +1 point, which will certainly prove the author that he is doing a nice «job» on our message board, and will encourage him to continue that way. Every «Smite» will decrease the user rating, and you should only use it when the poster is making a silly or bad job on our message board. Note: In order to protect this feature, you are only allowed to vote «applaud» or «smite» once per hour.
-   The Private message feature, could be used whenever you want to send a message to a forum member, you can directly click on the online/offline link and send a message, or you can click on the nickname link and find the message option. This is an easy way of communicating with all the 3Stocks members.

Any questions about this, should be made on our HelpDesk board.

Best regards !

Hello,

Is there anyways you could maybe post something very viewable on the website telling people to  do a search on the stock they are posting on before starting a new thread... something that stands out would be nice. I am guilty of violating this rule also but have not since someone point it out. My point being I think new posters do not realize they need to do this...

We have 2-3 INTC's, 2-3 BCON threads, 3-4 SIRI threads... its nobodys fault. Maybe a explicit suggestion posted at the top of the forum would help with this issue.

Thanks  ;D
