I am still in SILC.  Been in Australia and the outback for 2 months w/little to no internet service.  Even when I had it, hard to catch US trading time.

Trying to play catchup now that I'm back home.

SILC has closed at the top of the day, marking the downtrend resistance line. All it needs now is to break it up close up there. The volume is above average today. Good thing.

Beautiful chart right now.  We all know the fundamentals from David's excellent work.

I think SILC will agian be a huge home run.  Anticipating the earnings very much.  Unless something in the ER changes my mind, I hold SILC til the $30 or $35 mark.

Short term, I could see the price fluctuating between the downtrend line and the 50 ma, setting up for a huge bo.  This downtrend line I speak of, the way I have it drawn, stands at about $22 Monday dropping about $0.10 a day.

Since we don't have a daily coverage on SILC anymore, I placed a stop loss sell order at $20. If it shall break down below that uptrend support line and exit the triangle at it's tip to the south, I'll bail out. Otherwise, I'll wait for the ER.

Very bullish day so far for SILC, sitting at $-.02 after retesting the high 20.xxs again.

I'm just not sure if it will break the downtrend with convincing volume with Earnings coming Monday.  I can't see too much action, other than maybe drifting higher or slightly lower.

The industry they're in seems to be a hotspot.  There was an interesting read that leads me feel quite bullish about the upcoming earnings posted on Yahoo! today.  SILC will be a long term hold for me.  Here's the article.

Great close..ultra-bullish day.

Close +1.00 at 22.45.  Broke downtrend, 200k volume enormous for SILC.

Thanks for the article, bjc. SILC closed with a nice white candle. If those additional design wins come through, they can give a nice boost to SILC's revenue projection, hence provide a substance for a price target upgrade from this sole analyst. In any case, $25 is looming before or after the earnings. Let's see if we get a gap up.  ;)

bjc

berloga-

If we hit $25 within the next couple days, I might sell half.  If earnings are good and we gap up, I'm willing to pay up to get my whole position back, but just in case the market doesn't like the earnings, I still protect myself half way.

I'd also consider simply holding.  The more I read about the industry, the more I feel like turning my head and ignoring short term fluctuations.

On an overall market note, nice recovery in to the close today and it's good to see IBM posted good earnings.

I hope cimt responds to earnings like this.

The company obviously has been more efficient delivering a much stronger profit margin, than expected. I wonder if that'll persist. We need to see the guidance. Holding for now.  ;D

berloga

The 10% gap is reduced to 4%. Looks like a lot of people have been waiting to the ER to dump their shares... Anybody listening to the CC?

Down 7,5% now, I have no position but I wonder what's happenning ...  ::)

edit: 8,5% now ...

apparently they stated in the CC that there is no 'visibililty' ...
Així és la Catalunya, així és el Barça! Mès que un club!!!

Stopped out of SILC at $20. Just don't want to see it contine dropping. Didn't make the gap money, but well, not bad anyway. I missed out pretty much on most of the gaps we've had in the past, including more than 1 on GIGM. Now I know, when you see +10% in pre-open, SELL and go have a cup of coffee.  :)

bjc

What kind of fucking idiots say there's no visibility?

What a joke
