Canadian Superior Energy, Inc. engages in the exploration, development, and production of crude oil and natural gas in western Canada, offshore Nova Scotia, and in Trinidad and Tobago. The company holds interests in Intrepid Block covering approximately 80,020 acre located in the offshore Trinidad and Tobago. It also owns seven exploration licenses totaling approximately 2.59 million acres located in offshore Nova Scotia. Further, Canadian Superior Energy has interests in various areas, including Drumheller, Windfall, and Boundary Lake located in western Canada. As of December 31, 2006, the company�s gross proved plus probable reserves included 1,489 thousand barrels of light and medium oil; 37,512 million cubic feet of natural gas; and 318 thousand barrels of natural gas liquids. As of the same date, it also had working interest in 70 oil producing wells and 243 gas producing wells. The company was founded in 1983. It was formerly known as Kapalua Gold Mines, Ltd. and changed its name to Prize Energy, Inc. in 1993 and to Canadian Superior Energy, Inc. in 2000. The company is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.
