Nothing new on the fundamental or technical side today for CIMT. Over the medium term I expect the stock to rally hard on Q2 results, because the comparison will probably be very favorable, since the company earned just $18 K in Q2 2006. I'll keep holding CIMT for the long term.

Yes David this one of the things that make me feel good with this stock even thought it declined almost 40% since the Q1 result ..

No Pain No Gain

CIMT lost its appeal after the weak Q1 numbers. But I already knew the quarter was going to be soft, due to seasonality (but not this soft, I expected growth from the year ago levels).

The press releases we've had, saying positive things about Cimatron version 8 only came out late in the quarter, the product itself was only released in March 15, so there wasn't any significant effect in Q1. Maybe there was even a delay of orders because the new product was coming out.

I expect a stronger 2nd quarter and a favorable comparison. And in Q3, with CIMT consolidating Microsystems, revenue will grow by 40% and profits will grow too, since CIMT said Microsystems is profitable.

So, the future is bright. I'll continue holding CIMT for the long term.

Hi david.

What do you say is a good entry point to CIMT in the near future?
Or that you recommend not to enter right now?

thanks,
Aviv

Hi Aviv, my take is the stock is at its lows, because we've already had the seasonally weak quarter, and going forward comparisons will be favorable, as I've been writing. Also, in Q3 revenue and EPS will jump due to the Microsystems acquisition and consolidation. I don't see much risk buying around current levels and the future looks bright.

Technically nothing changed. Also no news out. I'll keep holding CIMT.

David Randolph

I've been reading several articles about CIMT over the internet, but didn't find anything new. The company is now a $19.35 M market cap and I expect it to grow, organically and through acquisitions (like the Microsystem's acquisition).

I'll keep holding CIMT.

CIMT will be stuck in a trading range $2.33 - 2.50 till there is some news.

Nothing's going on, it seems like the stock is establishing a range between $2.25 and $2.59, as it waits for the 200 days SMA (blue on the chart). Unfortunately the bottoming process will take time. True bullish catalysts will probably happen just when the company reports Q2 results (comparison will probably be favorable) and Q3 results (Microstrategy contribution will increase the top and bottom line).

David Randolph

I've listened to the 1st quarter conference call again:

CIMT's 1st quarter conference call

To make sure I heard right the first time. I have no doubts now, the CimatronE version 8 product has a new application, the die design application, that opens a whole new market for the company. The CEO said he expects "revenues from this market to grow rapidly" and that to make "significant contributions to the overall company's revenue growth over the next few quarters".

This is important for Q2 numbers. If CIMT posts revenue growth and a nice profit in Q2, comparison will be quite favorable, since the company had net income of just $18 K in Q2 2006.

As for Q3, there will be growth for sure, since it will consolidate Microsystem, bringing more than $2 M additional revenues per quarter. He also said Microsystem was profitable in 2006 after a two years restructuring and that he expects the company to remain profitable, therefore adding to CIMT's bottom line starting in Q3 2007. Microsystem isn't just a Cimatron distributor, it sells other products that will start being sold throughout the other subsidiaries.

I have little doubts that Q2 and Q3 will be much better than Q1 and that they'll be much better than the year ago period.

I'll keep holding CIMT for the long term.

David - it's really a shame that you adhere to you money management rules of not dollar cost averaging...  I know this is tremendously risky, but CIMT is about 15% of my portfolio and will definitely add another 5-10% if this goes below $2.00/share.

Unless we hear negative news, there are very low possibilities this stock
hits $2.   The 200 EMA is at 2.25 and currently trading low volumes

David has the responsibility of running a portfolio for many subsrcibers and that is a risk that David has to take into account. Maybe if he were just running his own portfolio for himself, he would take more risks. You are free to take the risks you want with your portfolio. You are not obligated to follow David's risk factors in your trading
There's always a bull market somewhere and I promise to bla bla bla bla........

I wouldn't. But you're right about everything else echo.

Nothing new for CIMT yesterday, the stock is building a base between $2.25 and $2.59.

Cimatron 5-Axis Helps Tool Maker Reduce use of Electrodes by Over 30%
Tuesday June 12, 9:07 am ET
Giebeler GmbH Uses Cimatron to Accelerate Production Cycles and Keep up With Customer Demand

GIVAT SHMUEL, Israel, June 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cimatron Limited (NASDAQ: CIMT - News), a leading provider of integrated CAD/CAM solutions for the toolmaking and manufacturing industries, today announced that Giebeler GmbH, a tool maker based in Eschenburg-Wissenbach, Germany, is reporting significant time savings and productivity gains with the use of Cimatron's 5-axis solution. A major portion of these productivity gains results from reduction in the use of time-consuming Electric Discharge Machine (EDM) processes.

(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20070612/261120 )

"Thanks to the Cimatron 5-Axis solution, we use 30-40% less electrodes than we used in the past," says Markus Noll, Technical Director at Giebeler GmbH. "We can now use milling in places that previously required EDM processing; and when we do use EDM we can drastically reduce the number of electrodes."

"For instance," explains Noll, "an aluminum die-cast mirror base that used to require 8 single electrodes with 3-axis production is replaced today by a single graphite electrode milled on a 5-axis machine." The streamlined process reduces overall design and production times, as well as the material costs associated with the manufacturing of the electrodes. According to Noll, it also helps improve product quality: "Since we are producing only a single electrode, we can minimize the number of tolerances and the potential for errors."

Marco Wolff, manager of the CAD/CAM service at Giebeler, adds: "With 5-axis machines, we can use small cutters of just 0.3mm with slim projecting holders to work out the typical deep contours. Cimatron 5-Axis Production automatically calculates a collision-free position for the tools and tool holders. We use the software to simulate tool motion and material removal on the screen before we start milling. The simulation is particularly important with the smaller cutters and smooth recesses, where the die can easily break. Furthermore, the simulation gives us a quick and reliable read to avoid a situation where some areas might be missed if too large of a tool were selected."

Using the 5-Axis technology helps Giebeler keep pace with the increasing demands of its customers. Says Wolff: "The design and interior of mirrors and lights, for example, have considerably changed in the past few years. Today, the outlines are divided into tiny parts, which are geometrically demanding due to their unique design characteristics and extremely tight tolerances. In the past, we needed up to 20 individual electrodes for some filigree parts. Nowadays, we can collapse multiple different geometries into a single one, which is only possible using 5-axis machines."

"Thanks to 5-axis technology, we have become more flexible in our manufacturing methods. The quick turnaround times which we are achieving these days on very complex products could not be realized without the use of 5-axis technology," confirms Noll.

Given the tremendous benefits realized, Giebeler has been continuously expanding the use of 5-axis technology. Today, the company operates a modern machine park with six 5-axis machines, and every new machine purchased by the company is 5-axis capable.
