Everything is a test unless I post the exact buy @ buy time and sell @ sell time imo(that would be fair)... ADDI, IDCO and FCCN were the only real money ones I participated in but again I didn't post any values so they remain as tests.

Not sure if it is even important to track a portfolio now..what do you guys think?  just g-pattern plays or is it important to show a portfolio growth?...hmmm

I also have some other research things to discuss with 3stocks as well...some goodies  ;)

Elite, the portfolio approach might be good.  As you can see, many of us have been watching your postings closely, and in some cases wondering if they were opportunities or recommendations, or merely tests, as you've now noted.

hi eliteg,

in regards to ADDI, its in a stall position right now at ask of .08...is it still worth it to jump in...do u think it will go to .1 again today?

thanks

julia thats the whole idea behind playing these pennies only with the g-pattern!!  A buy here might make you money but it is very late and away from support.  Buying when the 1st stage g-pattern break occurs seems to be a safer and more $$ play.  ADDI g trigger was the break of .028(yea far away now) or it seems anywhere on the candle that breaks it.

the pick philosophy makes people do their own DD more...that helps me as sometimes I bring up a play that I have not entered yet...and when I hear some FA from our gurus and TAs from our wizards I become more convinced..

eliteg,

what about creating a thread both in the stock picking and penny stock picking forums something like g pattern stocks where maybe you put in the first reply defining what it means for a stock to have g pattern characteristics and where users can post if they see something that might be a g pattern where you can validate if it is and to to keep statistics to see how powerful this pattern can be. you might call it the g pattern portfolio.

eliteG

I like the idea you bring to mind..which is basically taking statistics on anything that resembles the g-pattern...a lot of work though but may definately be worth it.  Good ideas.

catrader

so the g factor hypothesis, is it (what follows is eliteg's explanation on prior replies to this thread)
So here is my finding and how I will trade it:

Basically:
A price increase with volume burst which falls back and then breaks out, with volume, of the highest close of the volume burst rise can rise a heck of a lot.

More Technically:
-Filter: on entry day: stocks < 0.50 with volume > 5,000,000
1.  Price increases with many times avg(60ema) volume.(this volume increase must stand out compared to other past volume of stock)
2.  Price falls back for at least 2 days.
3.  Entry is when price crosses the highest close since the volume rise with volume > avg.
4.  still working on exit plans

or is it
to make sense out of the pattern I see:

1st stage: up impulse
some people find out news ahead of public and cannot keep price down to get the amount of shares needed(1st high volume move up)  These people are not interested in long-term gains.

2nd stage: down/flat/drift
If stock continues up immediately I have noticed more failures because those who just bought have an instant gigantic profit.

A few down days afterwards solidifies the original purchasers(1st high volume move up) into getting a big gain from this stock and they support it.

Meanwhile those who noticed the volume burst are researching into the company.  Trying to dig up news and check on fundamentals.

3rd stage:  up and away
Those who were digging find something, momentum traders join in, news release or release pending.  The height of this stage may be based on visibility in the trading world.

or is it a combination of both or maybe neither?  For analysis sake, let's say analysing, addi.  on friday volume never reached 5 million which is one of the filtering criteria so would not have gotten if used the scan criteria defined above.

aha...good point, about the volume, i think I will propose that depending on the volume in stage1 will be the size of your position in stage 3...actually more on the $volume.  We don't want to be buying hundreds of thousands of shares with only 1million volume on this stock play.

In my view the theory is based more on the picture than an actual technical requirements.

1. an upwards movement on crazy volume(highest or near highest of the year but also much higher compared with surrounding volumes)

possibly explained by:

1st stage: up impulse
some people find out news ahead of public and cannot keep price down to get the amount of shares needed(1st high volume move up)  These people are not interested in long-term gains.

2.a fall back of at least 2 days(but not too long...not sure) that doesn't pentetrate stage 1 low and usually occurs on lower volume than the highest volume of stage 1

possibly explained by:

2nd stage: down/flat/drift
If stock continues up immediately I have noticed more failures because those who just bought have an instant gigantic profit.

A few down days afterwards solidifies the original purchasers(1st high volume move up) into getting a big gain from this stock and they support it.

Meanwhile those who noticed the volume burst are researching into the company.  Trying to dig up news and check on fundamentals.

3.
stock passes by highest body point(highest close or open..higher of the 2) with lots of volume...this will be intraday so you will need to extrapolate volume to see if it is heavy...thats the trigger point

possibly explained by:

Those who were digging find something, momentum traders join in, news release or release pending.  The height of this stage may be based on visibility in the trading world.

this is the concept pic again

I need to add that I don't believe these plays set up too often...the perfect G is what I'm lookin for.

these are close but have volume issues...EDNE  TSYS  CPTCQ  IIJI  NGEN and VYST is closest of all.   ;)

nothing else I see.

eliteG

well there is IPII its kinda doin a G-thing  :D but I like it for other reasons.  This one should really rock tomorrow if it closes like this... This low float, short squeezing run reminds me of TZOO gigantic rise last year.  Closing action should really make that volume bar rise.

eliteG

AMEP...I have to say that is a pretty close.. G-pattern.  So it should be a double or more in 1-3 days.  I'll re-evaluate after close but it looks ready to rock.  I know a bunch of you are in this already and thats awesome!  ;D :o

Loffigus

dosn't HISC have that pattern set up going on right now?  or is the time frame too long to consider it a g-pattern?

eliteG

it definately looks G  ;)  its a great and powerful chart that must be studied no matter what!!

dhiraj19

Interesting talk regarding G pattern: Are there any other stocks in G pattern. How can we use stock chart analysis parameters to do search for g pattern stocks?

I bought HISC for 0.022 but sold it at 0.044 when first profit taking happened. I watched the stock for so long that I was convinced about its movement. But now it has gone beyond my thinking.

For HISC today was highest volume traded. Most of the time I have seen stock getting slaughtered very next day, but I was thinking same for HISC everyday.

Can we find more stocks like HISC currently which are under consolidation?

Thanks,
Dhiraj

eliteG

I'll put up charts of stocks in their 2nd stage(consolidation) that we can wait for triggers on if we can get some of our Fundamental Analysts to look at them and give some comments?  Also if anyone wants to do some FA on the past ones that worked it would be great too.

This is a call to Fundamental Analysts
