No Pain No Gain

I may have started the move this morning.  I bought 5000shares at the ask price at $2.25 this morning...  I wanted to buy more  being they have business in China...but someone kept stepping in front of my bid.

Either way...lots of volume in the last hour of trading. >:D

I liked the early action this morning, but 26% floors me! Let's see some follow through tomorrow.

Haha, yeah, maybe, thanks.  But actually what is wierd is that in the last few days he stopped bashing and started posting positive news.  Who knows, I was just pretty happy not having looked at the market today to see this great surge forward :-)

Nice white marubozu on CIMT yesterday. I told you there were no permanent losers in the Main Portfolio, just temporary.

There weren't any news out to justify the market action ... perhaps it really was kslifka who started all this (for the wrong reasons), buying 5,000 shares at the offer, which was the previous average volume for an entire day.

I say wrong reasons because CIMT has just about 10%-15% of its revenues coming from China (23% from the Far East region):

Anyway, China and the Far East have been gaining in importance.

There's a big gap between $3 and $3.54, as you can see on the chart below. I think it would be more powerful if the stock were to stay below $3 for now, and then, when the good earnings news crosses the wires, the stock jumps above $3.54, leaving an island on the chart, with the gap left open. But I wouldn't mind if we close the gap right away either :)

I maintain my expectation of $0.07 EPS in Q3 and $0.10 EPS in Q4. This should be enough to put CIMT in the $7-$9 range, something like that.

I'll keep holding CIMT for the long term.

We need a close above $3 to see the big jump ... so far so good

and also watch out RCH, it recovers fast!

Even though CIMT is deeply undervalued, I don't think it will close above $3.54 before some meaningful news. There's going to be strong resistance in the $3-$3.5 area and we'll probably need very positive news to surpass this.

The good news is that we'll probably get this type of news five weeks or so for now and when we do close above $3.5 I see the stock jumping towards $7 very fast.

Hopefully we won't fall back down to the $2 - $2.20 range, but stay in the $2.5-$3 range while we wait for the earnings news.

I'll continue holding CIMT for the long term.

David Randolph

Even though CIMT is trading at about 14 times earnings, which is attractive, I guess we'll need positive earnings news to make our move beyond $5.

We've already seen that the 3rd quarter will probably be quite strong, mainly because of two factors:

1) Full market acceptance of the CimatronE version 8;
2) Microsystems SRL consolidation with CIMT and the reverse of a 1st half loss into a profit, as said in the 2nd quarter conference call.

If we get the $0.07 EPS I'm expecting for the 3rd quarter I don't see how CIMT will remain below $5. With $0.10 EPS in the seasonally stronger 4th quarter we'll probably have a $8-$10 stock in Q1 2008. At least this is my expectation.

I'll confidently keep holding CIMT.

David Randolph

CIMT was able to close within the $2.5 - $3 range, as I want it to do.

Last year the company reported 3rd quarter earnings in November 15th. Probably the earnings release date will be about the same this year, so we have about five weeks of waiting for the news. No problem as far as I'm concerned.

In Q3 2006 the news was:

«Revenues for the third quarter of 2006 were $5.0 million, compared to $4.9 million recorded in the third quarter of 2005. Net loss for the quarter was $(281,000), or $(0.04) per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $(597,000), or $(0.08) per diluted share recorded in the parallel quarter of 2005.»

In Q3 2007 I expect something like $0.07 EPS, so, a meaningful improvement.

I'll continue holding CIMT for the long term.

David Randolph

CIMT is currently the biggest loser of the Main Portfolio, down 12.8% from my buying price. However, it is also the smallest market cap company ($19.9 M), so it can move very rapidly. I believe CIMT has the potential of going from the biggest loser to the biggest gainer in just a couple of days, if the right news kicks in.

I'm expecting the right news at about November 15 and I'll continue holding CIMT.

Bought some more CIMT yesterday ...  :)
