I bought in this week too.  In at $2.649.  Due for another white candle.  Trading range getting pretty tight.

Hi, it's good to know you guys are confident on CIMT. I would be happy if the stock stays within the $2.5 - $3 range until November 15, when the 3rd quarter results will be released. Then I'm expecting better than expected numbers (actually nobody is expecting anything, because there are no analysts covering the company) and the stock to open above $3.54, leaving an island on the chart, the "patience island".

I'll continue holding CIMT for the long term.

CIMT was down a bit on Friday, closing the gap. But it stayed on the north side of the "patience island", that is, between $2.5 and $3. It would be nice if the stock were to stay within this range until we get the 3rd quarter results. Then I expect CIMT to gap up above $3.54 on good earnings news.

David, what was the reason of the 'instability' on CIMT's quarterly results in 2006, from $0,03 down to $0,00 , than going negative to -$0.04 to surprise everyone in the last Qtr with $0.07!

And how much do you think will the acquisition of Microsystems add to the EPS in the 3rd Qtr, around $0.01 or do you expect more/less...

Tia!  :)

Hey David, I luv your phrase "patience island" .  Did you "coin" that one yourself?
I kind of think of it as, those that are patient know that their ship is coming to take them off the island. Kewl. 8)

Well, that can be explained mainly by two factors: an increase in R&D expenses to develop the CimatronE version 8.0 and the normal seasonality of the business.

Good question Se7en :)

Let's see, from the Q2 conference call:

«- Microsystem had a net loss of ($170 K) in the first half of 2007, because the company made purchase orders for hardware products that weren't sold to its costumers in the first half due to product shortages. These products are being sold and delivered in Q3 2007 and CIMT's management expects Microsystems to be profitable in the full year 2007;»

I would expect about $170,000 in net income coming from Microsystem in Q3. Since CIMT owns 51% of this, it's just $86,700, which divided by 8 million shares gives us $0.01 EPS. Of course, it can be more, but I guess this is what we can reasonably expect.

Now note that there was revenue growth in Q2 when compared to Q1 in 2007, which didn't happen in 2006. I believe this is because Cimatron vs 8 penetrates new markets and will expand the company's revenue and bottom line. Moreover, R&D costs (which are about $1 M a quarter) will probably go down, because the biggest part of the development job seems to be behind us.

This is why I expect an improvement in Q3 2007 and $0.07 EPS for the quarter. In Q4, which is seasonally the strongest quarter, I'm expecting $0.10.

This should be enough to put CIMT trading in the $6 - $8 range between now and Q2 2008.

Yes, but still in the $2.5 - $3 range. I don't think it will fly much without an earnings report or maybe an acquisition news, that would be super :)

He he, we, CIMT investors and residents of the "patience island" should really be rewarded ... if that happens, as I believe it will, it will be hard earned money :P

I hope that when the rescue comes it is an helicopter instead of a ship, so we can jump above the $3 - $3.54 ocean ;D

I'll continue holding CIMT for the long term.

It's interesting how sometimes it happens that companies stay in the same revenue range for several years (as I've just seen in FSTR analysis - that company had basically the same revenue for more than 10 years - and then strong growth started) and then revenue starts growing for apparently no special reason.

CIMT's revenues have been between $20 M and $25 M for the past seven years, but it looks like that's about to change. CIMT's management seems committed to growth, and that's why they made the Microsystem acquisition and say they're studying more:

«Mr. Rimon Ben-Shaoul, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cimatron said, "We believe that Cimatron is now well positioned to further increase its market share and accordingly its revenues in order to become a larger player in the industry. Following the exercise of the option to increase its holding in Microsystem to 51%, Cimatron continues to consider M&A opportunities, as part of its general growth strategy to further increase its offering and global presence."»

I'll continue holding CIMT for the long term.

I looked for new information at CIMT's website, but there wasn't any. All we can do now is wait for the earnings release, which will probably be around November 15.

I'll continue holding CIMT.

David Randolph

CIMT is still waiting for the rescue helicopter that will take it out of the patience island, back to the Northern Hemisphere. It is scheduled to arrive in November 15, 2007.

In the meantime we'll get distracted with other stocks.

I'll continue holding CIMT.

David Randolph

It is easier to be patient when at least stocks don't go down. CIMT stayed the same on Friday, while the general market fell 2.6%, so, not bad.

I'll continue holding CIMT for the long term.

Anybody knows why the float share is only 2.69M while the total outstanding share is 7.84M?

Because the two core shareholders own 66% of the company.

David Randolph

CIMT remains within the $2.5 - $3 range, as expected. I'll patiently keep holding and waiting for the earnings news around November 15.

Se7en

I think the weak dollar could really help CIMT's earnings, at this time last year 1€ was worth around 1.27$, today 1€ = 1,42$, that's around 12% more ...

So for example if they have the same earnings as last years QTR, they would still have (12%) more because of the weaker dollar(stronger Euro) since they publish results in $, right?  ::)
