Hi La-Onda,

David isn't available at this time, since I'm responsible for the Portfolio while he's out, I'll have to make this my call... and it's not an easy call... ouch.... :(

Update:
I was completely disappointed like everybody else holding the stock, especially when it was clear to everybody following the stock that Q1 numbers are usually the weakest during the year. In my opinion, Q1 results were neutral, showing some natural costs of acquisitions and seasonable factors, but nothing that was thesis changing or extremely negative (at least that I can understand).

I believe that the GAAP net loss was the reason for the sell off by short term traders probably the ones that have been buying it during the last few sessions and betting on explosive good results. The (trading operational) problem with CIMT is volume, and in selling pressure moments like this, the door is too small for everybody exiting at the same time.

From a technical point of view its difficult to analyze something like this, the last few days were suggesting a launching ramp from the ascending support, this last candle just doesn't fit there (problem with low volume micro caps, things doesn't make sense some times, probably too many times...).
Anyway, I would still believe this could be just an erratic short term move caused by short term traders and lack of liquidity, and that the current opened Gap-down will be filled, bringing CIMT up to near the last days prices.

I would wait to see today's development before taking action (I mean, cutting loses).

Trading Plan:
HOLD

Regards,

QuoteCimatron Reports Record Revenues of $10.3 million in Q1 2008 on a Part(1 of 2)

Cimatron Reports Record Revenues of $10.3 million in Q1 2008 on a
non-GAAP Basis

    92% Year-Over-Year Revenue Growth on a non-GAAP Basis, 88% Revenue Growth
on a GAAP Basis

Non-GAAP Net Income of $235 Thousand, GAAP net Loss of $(298) Thousand

GIVAT SHMUEL, Israel, May 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cimatron Limited
(NASDAQ: CIMT), a leading provider of integrated CAD/CAM solutions for the
toolmaking and manufacturing industries, today announced financial results
for the first quarter of 2008.
Following the merger and acquisition transactions with Gibbs in early
2008 and with Microsystem in 2007, Cimatron's results in the first quarter of
2008 consolidate Gibbs' financials for the first time and consolidate
Microsystem's results for the first time in a first calendar quarter.
In addition, following these transactions, and due to business
combination accounting rules that have a significant impact on Cimatron's
financial results, Cimatron is, for the first time, also reporting non-GAAP
financial data.
    Financial Highlights:
Revenues on a GAAP basis for the first quarter of 2008 increased 88% to
$10 million, as compared to $5.3 million in the first quarter of 2007. The
increase was attributed both to organic growth and to the consolidation of
Microsystem's and Gibbs' results.
Gross Income on a GAAP basis for the first quarter of 2008 was $8 million
as compared to $4.5 million in the same period in 2007. Gross margin in the
first quarter was 80%, compared to 84% in Q1 2007. The decrease in gross
margin is mainly attributed to business combination accounting rules, and as
expected, to Microsystem's lower margins on third party hardware products
sales as compared to the margins on Cimatron sales.
Operating Loss on a GAAP basis in the first quarter of 2008 was $(218)
thousand, compared to an operating income of $113 thousand in the first
quarter of 2007.
Net Loss for the quarter on a GAAP basis was $(298) thousand, or $(0.03)
per diluted share, compared to a net income of $181 thousand, or $0.02 per
diluted share recorded in the same quarter of 2007.
Revenues on a non-GAAP basis for the first quarter of 2008 increased 92%
to $10.3 million, as compared to $5.3 million in the first quarter of 2007.
Gross Income on a non-GAAP basis for the first quarter of 2008 was $8.4
million as compared to $4.5 million in the same period in 2007. Gross margin
on a non-GAAP basis in the first quarter of 2008 was 82%, compared to 84% in
Q1 2007.
Operating Income on a non-GAAP basis in the first quarter of 2008 was
$277 thousand, as compared to non-GAAP operating income of $123 thousand in
the first quarter of 2007.
Net Income on a non-GAAP basis in the first quarter of 2008 was $235
thousand, or $0.02 per diluted share, as compared to non-GAAP net income of
$191 thousand, or $0.02 per diluted share in the first quarter of 2007.
Commenting on the results, Danny Haran, President and Chief Executive
Officer of Cimatron, said, "We are pleased to show year-over- year revenue
growth as a result of organic growth and the addition of Microsystem and
Gibbs. The Gibbs merger process is well underway, as Cimatron's global
distribution network has broadened its offering with GibbsCAM solutions, and
currently starting initial GibbsCAM sales.
During the first quarter of 2008 we have kept our business momentum,
still, the strong devaluation of the US Dollar against the New Israeli Shekel
resulted in a 20% increase in the costs of our Israeli operations in Q1 2008,
as compared to Q1 2007. This devaluation effect was only partially offset by
the more favorable Dollar to Euro exchange rate.
We are taking cost control measures to counter the weak Dollar effect on
our financial results and expect to see the benefits of such measures during
2008."
Reconciliation between results on a GAAP and Non-GAAP basis is provided
in a table immediately following the Consolidated Statements of Operation
(Non-GAAP basis). Non-GAAP financial measures consist of GAAP financial
measures adjusted to include recognition of deferred revenues of acquired
companies and to exclude amortization of acquired intangible assets and
deferred income tax, as well as certain business combination accounting
entries. The purpose of such adjustments is to give an indication of our
performance exclusive of non-GAAP charges and other items that are considered
by management to be outside our core operating results. Our non-GAAP
financial measures are not meant to be considered in isolation or as a
substitute for comparable GAAP measures, and should be read in conjunction
with our consolidated financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP.
Our management regularly uses our supplemental non-GAAP financial
measures internally to understand, manage and evaluate our business and make
operating decisions. We believe that these non- GAAP measures help investors
to understand our current and future operating cash flow and performance,
especially as our two most recent acquisitions have resulted in amortization
and non-cash items that have had a material impact on our GAAP profits. These
non-GAAP financial measures may differ materially from the non-GAAP financial
measures used by other companies.

hopefully this time we go abov e 4/share and stay there. or at least not come back down to the infamous patience island.:)I do have a coment though, it is my understanding that stock prices stay within the bollinger bands 95% of the time. When a stock  breaks out above the bollinger bands it only manages to stay above the bollinger bands for about 5% of the ime. having said that, CIMT broke above the bollinger bands yesterday and I am wondering if the bollinger bands are going to start expanding and the price is simply going to ride on the top of the bollinger bands which would be perfect or is the bollinger band not going to expand which would mean that the price acion from yesterday would not be sustainable for long. We would need a couple of more high volume days to confirm a solid uptrend right?any thoughts?

If the Bolinger Band theory is correct than this time the price gap on CIMT puts it below the bollinger bands. The bollinger bands theory works both ways so based on that observation I would think that from an ultra short term point of view it would be perfect time to get in and ride it back up to at least the MA200 and MA50.
The only problem I see again is the low volume and the fact that it looks like the bollinger bands seem to be expanding while the price is at the bottom of the bollinger bands.
Another problem I see is that both the fast stochastics and slow stochastics are pointing down on the daily chart. This makes me want to wait until both stochastics are pointing up and volume picks up a little more.

If past performance is any indication, even after good numbers, cimt comes back to earth. Now this. It would'nt surprise me if it drifted slowly down under $2.00. Hope i'm wrong. I sold yesterday, digusted. If it rises from here,it's going without me.Otherwise i'll meet it under $2.00. But then,as always, what do I know.

Hi Ramsburg,

What happened to David? You said last week that David would be off for 1 week, but he is still not available. Please clarify. Thanks.

BRIEF: CAD/CAM co Cimatron share plunges despite record revenue
Wednesday, May 21, 2008 16:28ET

May 21, 2008 (Globes - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- CAD/CAM solutions provider Cimatron Technologies (Nasdaq: CIMT) yesterday published its financial report for the first quarter of 2008. The results consolidate the financials of acquisitions Gibbs and Microsystem for the first time. The company posted $10 million revenue, up 88 percent from the $5.3 million posted for the corresponding quarter of 2007.

However, the company posted a net loss of $298,000 for the first quarter, compared with a net profit of $181,000 for the corresponding quarter. Non-GAAP net profit was $235,000, compared with $191,000 for the corresponding quarter.

The share fell 18.4 percent yesterday to $2.49, giving a market cap of under $20 million.

Cimatron president and CEO Danny Haran attributed the revenue growth to both organic growth and the acquisition of Microsystem and Gibbs. He added however, that the shekel's appreciation against the dollar increased the cost of the company's Israeli operations by 20 percent compared with the corresponding quarter, which was only partially offset by the more favorable dollar-euro exchange rate. "We are taking cost control measures to counter the weak dollar effect on our financial results and expect to see the benefits of such measures during 2008," added.

What is the difference between GAAP and Non GAAP profit?

regards
oliver

I believe the Non-GAAP profit does not reflect the stock based compensation. If CIMT sold stock to pay its employees cash or options or ESPP, then those are subtracted when GAAP income is calculated. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

GibbsCAM Post Processors for Mori Seiki NMV Line Approved
Tuesday , May 27, 2008 08:07ET

MOORPARK, California, May 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cimatron Limited (NASDAQ:CIMT), a leading provider of integrated CAD/CAM solutions for the toolmaking and manufacturing industries, announced today that the set of its GibbsCAM(R) product's post processors that was developed for Mori Seiki's NMV line of machine tools has been validated by Mori Seiki. This collaborative effort between the two companies ensures that GibbsCAM's posted output supports the 5-axis simultaneous capabilities of these machine tools. As competitive pressures grow, the market demand for 5-axis simultaneous machine tools is also growing as they significantly reduce setups and improve overall part quality.

"Accurate post processors are still the Achilles tendons of today's advanced machine tools," explains Bill Gibbs, founder and CEO of Gibbs and Associates. "This is certainly the case when dealing with 5-axis machine tools. Working directly with Mori Seiki DTL, we were able to significantly reduce the time it took to develop the set of post processors for their NMV series."

The Mori Seiki NMV series of machine tools are high-precision, 5-axis control vertical machining centers. Using Mori Seiki's DCG(R) (Driven at the Center of Gravity) technology, vibration is controlled allowing for high precision at high speeds. DCG virtually eliminates vibration ensuring a high quality surface finish, outstanding acceleration performance and improved roundness. DCG along with Mori Seiki's DDM(TM) (Direct Drive Motor), Table-in-Table Construction and ORC(TM) (Octagonal Ram Construction) provide the NMV series with the power and stability required for today's demanding machining applications.

In addition to developing post processors for the Mori Seiki NMV line, Gibbs has also developed accurate machine models of the NMV8000 DCG and NMV5000 DCG for use with GibbsCAM's Machine Simulation capability. Machine Simulation allows program motions to be fully simulated to identify potential programming errors which would result in expensive machine tool crashes on the shop floor.

1.8$ as day low  :-X

Rams, Aussie, please add volume to your trading rules.
I have sold @ 2.2 for a small profit.

Hi la-onda,

Volume will be considerate for new positions as its part of the new strategy that I and Aussie are planning. Picks like CIMT or CHME have volume issues, this makes them difficult to track using technical analysis and we'll avoid this kind of picks in the future as we need TA to work out our positions.

CIMT was initially a fundamental play, and until now we don't have reasons to doubt the interesting fundamental prospects, but the volume and low visibility of the stock is an issue.
The market sometimes has these inefficiencies, so in this case in particular we are paying the price of it... Let's take it as a lesson and avoid this kind of trouble in the future.

GIVAT SHMUEL, Israel, June 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cimatron Limited (Nasdaq: CIMT - News), a leading provider of integrated CAD/CAM solutions for the toolmaking and manufacturing industries, today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the use of up to $1 million of the Company's available cash to repurchase ordinary shares of the Company. Under the repurchase program, share purchases may be made from time to time at the discretion of management in the open market or in privately negotiated transactions depending on market conditions, share price, trading volume and other factors. Such purchases will be made in accordance with the requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission. The repurchase program has no time limit, does not require Cimatron to acquire a specific number of shares, and may be suspended from time to time or discontinued.

As of June 4, 2008, Cimatron had approximately 9,394,598 ordinary shares outstanding and the closing price for its ordinary shares on The Nasdaq Capital Market as of June 4, 2008 was $2.00.

Commenting on today's announcement, Danny Haran, President and CEO of Cimatron said: "Our board of directors has determined that the repurchase of Cimatron stock represents an effective use of a portion of our cash at this time. The strength of our balance sheet, the confidence we have in our business model and the continued execution of our long-term business strategy support this decision."

Thanks Se7en (applaud) !

This is good news... the current share price seems to be a no brainer for the company, let's hope they set a new buying mood into the market.

Personally I don't believe CIMT will stay much longer at these levels, and I expect the stock to rebound soon, if not, we'll probably going to drop this position. For now, the trading plan remains:

Cimatron to be Fastest Growing CAM Vendor in 2008 - Predicts CIMdata
Monday , June 16, 2008 07:00ET

GIVAT SHMUEL, Israel, June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cimatron Limited (NASDAQ: CIMT), a leading provider of integrated CAD/CAM solutions for the toolmaking and manufacturing industries, was named as one of the fastest growing CAM vendors.

The CAM market ranking was compiled by consulting and research firm CIMdata and published in the recently-released NC Software and Related Services Market Assessment Report.

According to a press release issued by CIMdata, "The rapid growth of Cimatron in 2007 and 2008 is a combination of improved organic growth and the acquisitions of Microsystem in 2007 and Gibbs and Associates in 2008."

CIMdata views Cimatron as "one of the industry leaders in the toolmaking software marketplace." Defining the merger of Gibbs with Cimatron as "a positive move", the CIMdata report goes on to explain: "The companies are very complementary to one another in product, markets pursued, and distribution channels. It brings together the CimatronE integrated CAD/CAM suite focused on toolmaking with GibbsCAM-which is focused on production machining to provide a more complete product portfolio for the manufacturing industry."

"The CIMdata report and ranking reflect the success of our growth strategy," said Danny Haran, Cimatron's President and Chief Executive Officer. "The 2007 results are attributed to our efforts to develop and launch competitive products for broader segments of the toolmaking and manufacturing sectors, as well as to the positive contribution of the Microsystem acquisition. We expect to see additional growth in 2008 based on the success of our product line and the merger with Gibbs and Associates, which enables us to better serve the global market through our joint distribution network."
