Scared about buying this chart, up 200% plus in a month?

I guess so.

And after you see this next chart, still scared?

I guess not.

It's possible for the stock to have a pullback because it is up so much in such a short period of time. I don't know about that. What I know is this stock is going to $12 and I need to have a position in it, don't care if a correction comes because it may never came (never before $12 is reached).

The trend is my friend, a friend that always tells the truth. Just sometimes we're not willing to listen ...

I won't buy if there's a gap up at the open but I'll try to buy at the $6.30 - 6.40 area, no problem with that.

You take care !

Good stuff, David.

Bought in this morning to play with at least for the short term. These pharmaceuticals can shoot through the roof, much like Renovis did awhile back. Can't say this is the next DNA, but the potential upside is pretty good.

mind the gap on this one - it starts at 7.10 so that is first target. Unlikely to break above on first try so may pullback 9-day or other support when it happens.

XOMA yesterday had huge volume and ran into resistance at the 200-day EMA and pulled back so one to look at for an entry

I won't buy on a gap up. Will wait some time and post here when I buy.

Happy to see VPHM on the 3F list. May be this time I will keep as long as dave keeps it on the list :)

I bought this at 3.60 a few weeks back and it just keeps going, a lot of insider buying. I don't think you can lose on this one.

Hi!

I was a little slower, got in at 6.06 ;)

I have been looking at insiders buys, and that looks real good!

Soooooo - I guess I'm in for a longer time.

By the way: today I was lucky to get some WFR. Maybe worth for you to take a look at?

Cheers.
Happy trading...

VPHM had been more of a momentum play of late. Today I matched its march with the like of GOOG, CMT, FORD, XWG and found that they were almost pounding the same path. In other words, accross the board profit taking.

It may be shakey a bit if you have just taken your position but for new entrants it could give better entry points. However, if this is the market top then we are in for some disappointment for some of the momentum plays.

VPHM is notoriously fast mover. However, it has not disappointment those who can live with little volatility.

RichL74

All the trends look good. Even though I got in at $6.45 and doubled my position @ $5.75. Today was definitely a profit taking day. I'm excited about the trend for this stock.

cumulina

I can live with some volatility ;D

Would be nice to see this go up.

Good luck to us!
Happy trading...

ViroPharma Inc. (VPHM) filed an 8-K today to announce that it received notices from holders of its 6% Convertible Senior Secured Notes due 2009 electing to voluntarily convert $11,800,000 principal amount of the Senior Convertible Notes into 4,720,000 shares of common stock at the conversion rate of one share of common stock for each $2.50 in principal amount of the Senior Convertible Notes. Following the conversions, approximately $49.4 million principal amount of the Senior Convertible Notes remained outstanding.

Sounds not good IMO.
Suggestions??

David Randolph

Sincerely, after the party we had yesterday, I don't know what to say about those news la-onda. I've bought the stock because of technicals, I'll sell only when technicals say sell. They're not saying that, at least not yet.
