Great 18% jump on NVAX  :o Now it is clear, as the stock moves up and away from our buying point, that this Avian Flu play is getting attention from the public and market professionals.

A short term descending trendline was broken on the upside and we have a new intraday high at $2.74. It is important for the volume to keep up on this breakout process. If we get a close above $2.56 on a big volume day (more than 1.5 million shares traded) we get a technical target of the breakout of $2.56-$1.28 = $1.28+$2.56 = $3.84 !

I will let the profits run on NVAX.

David, whats your take on today's NVAX action? Congrats on VICL & SVA!

Keep up the good work!

Another 10 million share day! WOW.  Like David said, this stock will hit the stock screeners/radars all over the place now with two consistent days of 9-10 million in volume.

Dang, I had my limit sell at $2.80  >:(  I thought about doing a limit sell at $2.70 (Got to listen to your hunches and voice of REASON more ... LOL)  ;)

Another day of Institutional managers buying (chart from Lycos I-watch)

Great call on VICL too, David.  Just keep up the great work you guys!!!

Thanks for your kind words  :)

I must say I have some doubts at this point, given yesterday's doji on the chart. With so much news and talk concerning the Bird Flu I thought NVAX would really breakout yesterday.

I see my performance going nowhere the last couple of months, and all because I'm too reluctant to take nice profits when I have them.

NVAX failed on its attempt to breakout, perhaps a fall to the ascending trendline (today standing at $1.65) may happen, because bulls will get discouraged by their failed attempt, and need to regain strength at lower levels.

This is a though decision, but I choose to take profits on NVAX at today's open.

This news out this morning.  If you buy/sell on dips and peaks until the Bio Investor Forum next Wednesday, could make money on anticipation of the forum.  I know David sold, and I also sold but bought back on dip.  If you are still holding NVAX or any stock position during this bearish market, be very careful and REALLY watch your stock rise/fall activity.  Sell on gains and buy back on TRUE dips and rebounds.

Good trading.

Nice little rebound today for NVAX.

Price action retested the ascending trendline i drew TL1. Yet it failed to close above my resistence point of 2.39 to close at 2.37. We may see a pullback tomorrow due to the failure of the bulls to break 2.39. Im holding as long as it closes above 2.05 for the time being.

Good luck all,

Tuesday, October 18th is expected to be a huge event for the vaccine producing community.  From what I have been hearing, is that a U.S. "Flu Czar" is to be announced, along with how much of the $4 Billion appropriation is to be allocated.

Also, I heard a rumor that Steve Cohen's - SAC Capital Mgmt is buying chunks of NVAX.  The rumor originated that institutional purchases found via Bloomberg service, disclosed trades from the firm.

Having recommended NFLX for quite some time, the trading activity of NFLX was pretty wild on the way up from $11.  Apparently, Cohen's style is to place incongruent trades to disguise the true intentions of the firm.  eg.  taking out all stop losses.  Keep this in mind, if you see any huge short-lived dips.

Good Luck,

Closing above $2.50 makes NVAX partially marginable.  It appears this is setting up for a gap up next week, especially with U.S. govenment strategic flu plan being unveiled.

Good Luck, here's the closing chart.

Hello..........anyone else here?   :)  (If you are, a "hi" would be much appreciated)   ;D

Well, David, I guess I will carry the torch for the moment.  ;)

As the TA chart shows below, 10 day MA is rising above the 50 day MA with sustained volume and MACD in the positive territory (David, you taught me that, thanks).

I'll continue to hold through next week, towards Wednesday's Bio Investor Forum 2005 in San Francisco, while re-evaluating my position daily depending on the stock activity.

Good trading!
