I went looking for a 7-eleven to try a slammer and found one.
I tried the pro slammer (vanilla) and it tastes excellent. This product has all the makings of a success. The positives have  been discussed here on this board before. The only thing they need is a boost to get started. They need recognition, wether its advertising at the local level or at a national level. Imo thats the only thing they need to get off the ground.

It seems like there would be a niche for sales at stores like Starbucks... they already have quite the assortment of cream-based drinks (frappucinos, lattes, etc), and a healthy milk-based product like Bravo's Slammers would be a nice addition in their refridgerated cases (right next to the $3 water bottles and other overpriced sandwiches).  What would be needed to get this kind of contract, or some sort of similar contract with the food service companies that stock the state-run schools?

You know - I just listened to the last conf- call and they stated that November they were starting a large advertisement campane - Radio (Traffic updates sponsored by Slammers) TV and print adds.  Just have to wait and see.

I also found them at BILO in South Carolina this week.  Spiderman - MilkyWay -  They were Great.

Todays price action rose back above the lower trading range barrier of .50 which could be a possible bear trap. For those of you who dont know what a bear trap is. It is a false breakout of a trading range usually meaning a sharp move in the opposite direction of the false breakout. This may be what we've needed in light of the technical picture to have an upside breakout of .72.

Here is a textbook example of a bull and bear trap that has recently occured in the Biotech index:

I sent a letter to Roy Warren, CEO of BRVO with some marketing ideas.  Something to do while I watch the stock:

Mr. Warren,

I like your product and I am a stock holder.  Here are some marketing suggestions:

Make smaller containers that can fit in a child's lunchbox - like the Danimals 12 packs.  They come in 4oz bottles which are smaller versions of your current bottles.
My child cannot drink a 16oz bottle of chocolate milk in one sitting (and does not share) and I would be hesitant to spend $2+ on a drink she would not finish.  The smaller versions can be sold in six and twelve packs and be given away as samples.

Promote the Slammers at Arena Football games.  In Long Island, NY, where I live, the games sell out and are geared towards children.  There are lots of giveaways and events during the game to make it child friendly (there are ticket packages with 4 tix and a football for $50).  I think it would go over well to give out samples and coupons.
Minor League baseball and High School football games are very popular here too.

Another good place to market it would be Comic Book shows.  There are several big ones out there.....Wizard World.....San Diego Comic Con...Big Apple......They are crowded, hot, and a great place to promote cold drinks with Marvel Super Heroes on them.  They can also be collectors items.  You should also get some press in comics related magazines like "The Comic Buyers Guide" and "Wizard".

Since you are involved in racing, have bottles with NASCAR Drivers (or just their numbers) on the bottle.  It would do great.

Think of recipes!  - Adding some seltzer to the Milky Way Slammer tastes great.  Works with rum too!

As a parent, I am very involved in sweet drinks, comic books and children's events.  If I can be of any assistance to get these products selling (and the stock up), let me know.  I see too many products being marketed incorrectly to children and teens.  You have a good product and I have an economic interest - let's do it right.

Thanks,

Snowy

(credit the next big run-up (or drop) to my comic book idea, ok?)

Good post snowy. I hope your letter helps!
I agere that the slammers are too big for kids.I tried one and was so full!

But the 4oz size is too small; You might have just refeernced to make a point and not suggest the actual 4oz size.

Again your letter was filled eith good ideas and I hope the CEO reads it and can take something good from it.

Snowcat,  I like the lunch box size idea. Grade schools could sell them in their cafeteria as well
next to the milk!

Thanks for your posts and ideas, I hope BRVO's CEO takes some of them  :)

I don't think there's any problem with BRVO's fundamentals. The market is just taking its time to absorb the shares being sold by two groups of people:

1) Long term shareholders with huge profits, that were once obliged to sell at $0.36 and now are free to sell in the open market at higher prices.
2) The people who bought solely based on the CCE deal are feeling discouraged and without a motive to continue holding.

These two groups are not selling for the right reasons and in the end fundamentals reign supreme. Bulls are mostly on the sidelines, waiting for a clear sign that the selling by those two groups is over. This will be clearly seen when the stock closes above $0.72 with volume above average.

And believe me, it will. In my mind and analysis it's just a matter of time.

The company has recently shut down its press release machine, maybe for some other group to accumulate shares with ease ... certainly insiders don't want to sell, or you would see positive news everyday.

I will calmly continue holding BRVO.OB for the foreseeable future.

The CEO said he liked my ideas and some are in the process and others are being persued.

I am just sitting tight and not expecting much until after eanings season.

Great! good job by you snowy!

I agree the stock I think won't be doing much untill after earnings.

Nice how dips below $.50 are met with enough buying pressure to bring the price back up again. :)

Hey everyone ... patience is a virtue here.  I am thrilled that so many of us are finding and liking the product and are seeing marketing BEFORE  ;D the deal with CCE has even started!  Remember, that deal was on August 30 with an effective starting distribution date of October 31 and with an explicit statement by BRAVO that the deal will not make 2005 earnings better.  With CCE suddenly using all commercially reasonable efforts sell this stuff ... 2006 should be great.  This short term drifting of the stock is meaningless in the grand scheme of things (unless one is day trading).

Picked up more Slammers last night at Safeway here in Northern California. It was on sale for $1 each and was nearly sold out.

I am wondering if the distribution arrangement has started with Coke?  Is it a slow process or will it be an all out assault?  Anyone know?

TV advertising?  Singing?

If not I will contact the CEO again.  Check out their website, it has a lot of neat games and activities for the kiddies (or bored workers).

It starts October 31st. But any information from the CEO is welcome  :)

With today's 7% rise and close at $0.53 I'm starting to think that we've had a false breakdown of the $0.50 support level. Usually when a stock makes a false break of the downside level of a range, it means it will break for sure, but on the upside !

The same thing happened with AOB before its big run up, remember?

The low volume isn't worrisome, it means the stock rose because there were just a few sellers, and that's exactly the kind of behavior we've been anticipating. I see BRVO rising slowly to the upper end of its range, around $0.72, and then make a beautiful breakout with volume above average.

We'll see, but the market action is encouraging for us, long term bulls on BRVO.
