Great day indeed.

20 times the daily average trading volume and a 12% increase....with some big blocks here and there. The largest a 200,000 share trade at $3.27.

I believe that you are right. We should see a new 52-week high tomorrow.

Wiseman,

Do you think its time to get out soon or how much longer do you expect this to climb?

This stock has me very perplexed.  The funadments are very strong, guidance is strong, PE is sitting at 19-20, yet we can't get anything started.

I'm hanging on by a thread...maybe I need some patience.

PDEX finally showing some life.  I think we're set for a slow cruise up into earnings.

A word of warning to everyone following wiseman's picks on the stock picking boards

Wiseman is systematically trying to pump low float stocks for his own purposes

He is using multiple aliases on the 3SOF boards, including but not restircted to slt2005 to simulate confirmation from other traders.  This has been confirmed to me by Frederick Ramsburg, as these registered names are residing at the same IP address.

Sure, some of his picks may go up in the short term, but having been burned badly on GIGA today, which was "a sure double"  (and I know th earnings disappointment was unexpected), I am just putting this out there for other members to make their own decisions.

A word of warning Wiseman.  This kind of action will not be tolerated on these boards.  This is a strong, supportive community of traders who value each other's opinions, but also their integrity.  I ask you to stop using multiple aliases on the boards, and respect the prinicples that this site is based upon.  Sure, we're all here for personal gain, after all that is what trading is about, but I think you will find that people here are determined to do it in a way that supports, and in as much of a degree as is possible in the markets, look out for each other.  I am sure that everyone here would be happy to continue to hear about your picks if you do not use devious and fraudulent ways of promoting them.

PDEX: Low float, consistently profitable, super undervalued, earnings AH today. Could be a nice gainer

Keep an eye on this one. PDEX will report 1Q 2007 AH today. Backlog at the end of 4Q 2006 was very strong...stronger than the prior quarter. Revenues in 4Q 2006 were a record $5.3M.

PDEX reported 9c/share for 2006. Lower than 2005, but the company has identified the reasons for the decline and it is addrressing those issues. PDEX is trading at its 52-week low, and it is a great opportunity to load up on a low-float profitable company trading at a trailing P/E of 13 and P/S of about 0.5.

PDEX $1.19 reported strong 1Q 2005 results after hours today...

Pro-Dex, Inc. Announces First Quarter Fiscal 2007 Financial Results
Tuesday November 14, 4:10 pm ET

Sales Increase 39% for the Quarter; Company Reports $0.03 EPS
Backlog as of 9/30/06 of $9.1 Million vs. $7.6 Million at 9/30/05 and $11.7 Million at 6/30/06

SANTA ANA, Calif., Nov. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PRO-DEX, INC. (Nasdaq: PDEX - News) a developer and manufacturer of embedded motion control, miniature rotary drive systems and fractional horsepower DC motors, which enables speed-to-market for customers who serve the medical, dental, factory automation, scientific research, aerospace and military markets, today announced financial results for the first quarter ending September 30, 2006.

Consolidated net sales for the first quarter were $5.2 million, an increase of 39 percent compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2006. Net income for the first quarter was $242,000, or $0.03 per basic and $0.02 per diluted share, compared to net income of $262,000, or $0.03 per basic and diluted share for the first quarter last year. In calculating earnings per share, the Company utilized 9.8 million fully diluted shares for the fiscal 2007 first quarter and 10.0 million diluted shares for the 2006 fiscal first quarter.

Mark P. Murphy, the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "We are pleased to announce another quarter with revenues north of $5 million as we align the organization to realize the Company's earnings potential and continue to improve the reliability of our products through enhanced designs and a focus on quality. We are very excited to announce the addition of Mr. Joe Rotino as the Company's new Vice President of Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs. Joe brings over 20 years of experience in medical and dental device manufacturing, having worked for Kendall McGaw Labs, Baxter Healthcare, and Sybron Dental. He holds a BA in Mathematics and a Masters in Quality Assurance. In addition to his technical strengths, Joe's collaborative and energetic leadership style will most certainly bring us to the next level of quality focus we require."

Gross profit for the first quarter was $2.0 million, or 38 percent of sales, compared with gross profit of $1.7 million, or 45 percent of sales in the first quarter last year and compared sequentially with $1.7 million, or 32 percent of sales in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2006. Approximately 5 percent of the difference in gross profit margin compared to the prior-year first quarter is due to lower margins associated with the Astromec products that have margins in the 20-30 percent range. The remaining 2 percent of the reduction was due to other factors.

Operating expenses increased by 21 percent to $1.6 million compared to $1.3 million in the first quarter of last year. Compared to last quarter, operating expenses increased $86 thousand. The increase over the first quarter of last year is associated with higher product development and increased sales and marketing costs. Included in operating expenses for the first quarter of fiscal 2007 compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2006 was a 33 percent increase in selling expenses, a 3 percent decrease in general and administrative expenses and a 46 percent increase in research and development expense. The addition of Pro-Dex Astromec added $79,000 to the total consolidated research and development costs and the remainder of the increase was due to approximately $46,000 in higher personnel costs and $76,000 for increased independent research, training and tooling costs.

Mr. Murphy continued, "The improvement in our gross margins from 32% last quarter to 38% this quarter is a positive sign that we are moving in the right direction, but there is much work ahead of us. As part of our effort to improve our engineering capabilities and strengthen our infrastructure to meet demand, we have invested in independent engineering research, employee training, software tools, and improved equipment. We are also aggressively recruiting engineering talent. We believe that these initiatives will improve our speed-to-market expertise for our customers while maintaining outstanding levels of quality. We completed the quarter with a backlog of $9.1 million compared with a backlog of $11.7 million at June 30 and recorded over $2.5 million in new order bookings. Since September 30, 2006, our backlog has climbed back up to $10.7 million, demonstrating ongoing demand for our products. We continue to believe we are well positioned to succeed, based on strong demand for our services, ongoing profitability, sustained cash generation and a company-wide commitment to seize all opportunities for improvement."

Pro-Dex completed the first quarter with cash and cash equivalents of $295,000 compared to cash and cash equivalents of $358,000 as of June 30, 2006. The Company generated more than $695,000 in operating cash during the first quarter and reduced its credit line borrowings by $500,000 during that period, leaving $400,000 of its credit line available at the end of the quarter. Total working capital was $6.2 million as of September 30, 2006 compared to $6.1 million on June 30, 2006. Shareholder's equity increased 2 percent to $12.3 million from 12.1 million as of June 30, 2006.

PDEX, a medical device manufacturer, will report earnings next week. PDEX is at the verge of returning to profitability while increasing its backlog to record levels.

PDEX  market cap is only $13M and has a 6M  share float. There have been several huge block trades in recent weeks. This is very unusual for this stock. The largest  block i saw was 70,000 shares!

I am guessing that someone knows soething and that something is very good. The downside is very minimal because the stock is trading at a P/S of about 0.6 compared to others in the sector trading at a P/S well above 3. Any profit can easily send this stock to $2+ in a hurry.

- Gross margins have increased from 29% to 36%

- 9-month 2007 revenues of $15.8M vs. $11.7M in the first 9 months of 2006....a 35% increase

- For the first 9 months of 2007, PDEX has gained 3/share net income despite last quarter's loss.

The total outstanding shares have actually decreased from 10M shares last year to 9.7M shares this year. The float is small with only 6M  shares.  PDEX is profitable for the first 9 months of 2007 and has rebuilt backlog to record levels.

PDEX management has worked  very hard and has fulfilled its promise to return the company to sustainable profitability.

During an upbeat CC today, the CEO commented that the company is in final negotiations for a major contract in its medical business. He estimates that that contact will be worth between $2 and $4M.

In the earnings release,  Mark Murphy, the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer, commented,

"Strong sales, particularly to our continuing medical and dental customers, contributed to our improved results for the quarter. This continued the recent trend of growing our overall revenue base, primarily by a strong strategic position with our traditional customers. Astromec's sales were also up 8 percent over the third quarter of last year, which was the first full quarter following the acquisition by Pro-Dex. In addition, we booked $2.7 million in new orders from current customers during the quarter and completed the quarter with a backlog of $9.3 million. Strong April bookings allowed us to rebuild our backlog to $10.3 million"

". We continue to have active conversations with several prominent potential customers for additional work and are cautiously optimistic that some of these conversations will result in orders over the next six to 12 months. I'm also pleased with our return to profitability, driven by higher revenues and a sequential and year-over-year increase in our quarterly gross profit margins."
