Hello fellows, thanks for the support  :)

On Friday I had absolutely no time to be posting here on 3SF. I didn't even got time to analyze ABRX, so I said «no time to analyze, keeping the stock». The problem is that I own a small business and there were some issues I had to deal (go to the bank, meet with some clients).

After the open I was so tired that I picked my family and went away for the weekend ... you see 3SF growth was so fast that I'm still not used to the new tasks I have, not yet organized enough.

But me and Ramsburg are going to do everything we can for this project (he's my partner on the small business too - it is a swimming school), we've hired one more clerk and this weekend we're buying a machine that will unload some of our work.

I've been sleeping just 4 to 5 hours a day, moving between the two «jobs» ... so on Friday I couldn't take it anymore, picked up my family and went to the countryside, where my family has a country house, to rest for the weekend.

When I got home yesterday I saw the market and particularly ABRX didn't behave well. I'm reading your posts now and I'm very pleased with your comprehension. The problem is that we're not machines, just human beings with their natural weaknesses and necessities, where as markets don't really are concerned with that, the market doesn't even know we exist and never forgives.

The e-mails were not sent because I didn't had time. What I can say is that I'm organizing my life to embrace completely this new and exciting project.

Our service consists of managing an open portfolio. We disclose our trades, explaining what we're buying and selling and why we do it. You can read and learn from our successes and mistakes. Know about our strategy and use the part of it that fits your trading personality.

But I believe it's not a good idea to follow the portfolio ... for people interested we probably should open an hedge fund in the US (who knows, in the future?)

Oooppsss, my 2 year old son just woke up, one more time I have to delay my analysis of ABRX, these humans ...  ;)

First of all hats off.  Your doing a great job.  The site is quality, and the picks based on the performance returns are top notch.  Human nature simply is when things get cloudy asthe market did last week, that is where the hand holding is most needed.  Possible suggestions...when putting out a stock, and it does not nessarily have to be first thing in the morning as you are cruising charts but at some point issue support, resistance, target, and stop.  this way we have the tools to implement in times that you can't be there.
Again great site, seems like a great group of people on the site.  Enjoy Sunday...we need you tomorrow. ;D

My two cents worth as posted in the GLGS thread.

David & Frederick,
You guys had a great ideal when you came up with 3StocksOnFire.I'm proud to be a member.Thank you.
Thank you...starfire,for your comment.Let's do be civil. We are not here to bash each other. As Frederick Ramsburgh has said,T2T.I would hope that we all could learn from each other. There are good stock heads here.I know I have learned things already from other members.I welcome the opportunity.
If I make a decision to follow another member's recommendation and buy a stock, that is my decision. If the trade goes sour and it becomes evedent that this trade is going to be a loss. Then I am not going to come back on you and bash you with foul words. It was your decision to make your buy, and it was my decision to make my buy.The other member did not twist my arm and say here you must buy.We must accept the outcome on any given trade, win or loose.
I hear talk on the topic boards about the business of average down in your buying.I would never take this approach in buying stocks, and never would advise any trader to do so.I am 50 years old,no need to hide my age.I have been interested in the stock market since I was a young teenager.I have been trading in stocks since the age of 20,I have built a nice portfolio over those years.I say ,I have learned things from other members here.It is true, I have.We never are to old to learn new tricks.I have read a number of business and investment books over the years. The best one IMHO was called "How to Trade in Stocks"by J.Livermore.From this book I adopted his method of averaging up,or pyramiding.I always in my trading average up...."not down"..
This is a great website with some very knowledgeable stock pickers. So if a trade goes red, let's not take to the underhanded tactics of those other message boards. We all can learn from each other and extend help to our fellow member,I know we each have a little to offer.
So let's be civil and make 3StocksOnFire even better than it is.
Best Regards....and good luck in all your trades.

Thanks a lot for your great support guys !

I can see that most of our members have already understood the truth spirit of this project, and the «T2T» philosophy that we are trying to implement!

We are really proud of this community!

Like David said, we are trying to organize ourselves right now (we are partners in other business) in order to get the time we need for running this great project on a more professional way. This all 3SF idea came up very quickly, and we never thought that this could turn into this great venture in such a short period of time... We never though that we could gather 1560 stock enthusiastics in less the 2 months and so much market knowledge together on the same web space. Of course this changes a lot of our first thoughts about this project, and we need to adapt our private lives to it (that's what we are doing right now).

But we still have a lot of work ahead... Technical problems must be solved (we thought this server could be enough. but it doesn't), our concept must be upgraded and re organized, we must create some sort of rules for our messages boards and some disclaimers to help members to understand how this all works, so we can all paddle on the same directions....

Let's work together and make some greens ;) !!!

Best regards !

PS: And I must improve my english LOL  ;)

As a newbie to stocks, and still just an observer, it's pretty obvious to me that this isn't a site about stock picks, but a site about stock pickING. I'm starting to zero in on the type of trader I'm going to be, and I must say, it won't be exactly like David. It won't be exactly like ANYONE on this site, for that matter. I will develop and use MY OWN method, based in no small part on what I learn from everyone here. People, David's no stock "guru". He's a bright, experienced young man with lots of ambition and generosity. He's sharing his KNOWLEDGE, not stock tips. His site has attracted some other very talented traders to the forum. I learn just as much from them as the site owners. Shoot, I even learn from folks that try to mimic every move made on 3SF and lose money. You can read the desperation in their posts, and I understand how that upsets David and Frederick. To tell you the truth, it HELPS me. I see it as learning valuable lessons at no expense to me. I'm not here for the stock picks, I'm here because I want to be a successful trader.

Thanks.

Nice posts here on ABRX. Too bad I have nothing pleasant to say about the stock. This was a technical speculative play but it didn't work out.

From now on I'll pick less stocks, trying to trade less, and better stocks. When I sell this stock my number of losing trades will equal the number of winning, although the 3 Stocks on Fire portfolio has a 120% plus profit over the last two months. That's because I had a few big winners and some small losses. 4 stocks I've sold with more than 100% profits and none showed a loss of more than 30%.

That's it to stock trading: cut the losses, let the profits run.

Of course, if it wasn't for the pressure to keep recommending stocks everyday perhaps my win/loss ratio could be better than 50%. You see, I was bearish on the entire market but I kept on buying stocks ... and that's no good business. But I sure have lowered my exposure, from 100% invested to just 40% today.

Cut the losses, let the profits run is truly a winning strategy, since stocks generally move in trends. So I'll stick to that strategy and sell ABRX today with a small loss, keeping my cash balance high for the time where there will be plenty of opportunities.

As said, I sold ABRX at the open @$3.70.

ABRX is rallying today!!

Strange...stock plunges, nobody mentions it? $2.70 in AH. Oh well, I didn't get in last time.  How much more bad news can it take?
The "blood in the streets" almost makes me want to get in for a quick pop reversal. Say...3.50 or so? Of coarse this would be after Tuesdays am sell-off.

TommyT,

I did not mention it cause I lost 1k selling it in after hours. My biggest flaw in this game is an unwillingness to take reasonable losses , resulting in bigger losses in the end.  Got me in glgs as well or almost as much.   Worked in my favor not selling brvo when I bought at .94 and watched the sell off, or should I say walked away from the monitor during the sell off.  Also worked on ipix, but overall it has been a losing strategy of mine.

tommyt

I'm not sure if I'll go near this, definitely not over night. I'll just watch to see how far it slides in the am. Who knows?

Adam

Wow, good thing we sold this bad boy

tommyt

This co is one of the most amazing crashes I have ever seen. They wait until afterhours closes to release bad news...., they don't feel as if they own any explaination to shareholders.  I 'm am truely stunned....and thank God I am not a bagholder.

Added more Call Options.

Willing to take the chance on a buyout or restructure at this level.

Always the risk of bankruptcy.  Love buying with horrible outlook and news.
Options limits the investment and give huge potential gains.

Good Luck !
