I still like a "tag" of the upsloping (blue) support line as an entry - that way I can justify taking the trade and not second guess myself with FIBs and all the other stuff....being a trendline trader, trendlines and volume are all i trust.

That soft area is similiar to a "gap" since very little volume occured there - relative to recent volume. I see that "soft area" getting a possible fill. This sets up perfect for a 2.60 entry.

Tenative Trading Plan:
- 2 series of buys
- 1000 shares each
1st Buy: on a gap fill 2.60 also upsloping trendline support
2nd Buy: at 2.45 fib 61.8% projected support  (average down if necessary)
Stop Limit: 2.29 - A break of all technical support levels

Generex Slaps Back At Negative Internet Article, Completes New Insulin Loading Operation
Monday , March 27, 2006 23:45 ET

Mar 28, 2006 (financialwire.net via COMTEX) -- March 28, 2006 (FinancialWire) Generex Biotechnology (NASDAQ: GNBT) struck back at a negative Smart Money article with cries of inaccuracies and news of the completion of a turnkey operation for its oral insulin spray product in Quito, Ecuador.

The Smart Money article was taking aim at companies such as Novavax (NASDAQ: NVAX), BioCryst Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: BCRX), AVI Biopharma (NASDAQ: AVII), and Generex that are working on avian flu treatments, though none has a drug ready for consideration by the Food and Drug Administration.

The article referred to the company's "financial struggles." As indicated in the company's Form 10-Q Quarterly Report for the fiscal quarter ended January 31, 2006, Generex had cash and short-term investments in excess of $21 million as of January 31, 2006. As at the close of business on March 24, 2006, the company had cash and short-term investments in excess of $41 million, the strongest financial condition in the company's history.

The article states that "for the past year, Generex hasn't been able to pay off its debt." That statement is false, Generex said in its news release.

The article states that Generex failed to repay two promissory notes and that "[a]s a result the noteholders [sic] were allowed to convert the debt" into shares of common stock. That statement is false, Generex holds, explaining that the conversion entitlements were included in the promissory notes from the outset. The promissory notes were not repaid in cash on the maturity dates in the context of then on-going negotiations in respect of related transactions.

The author states that "Generex also agreed to such terms with other lenders," which is another false statement, Generex said.

Referring to what Generex calls "derisive reference to the company's losses," they say Generex is a development stage biotechnology corporation; accordingly, its function has been to spend money on research and development activities which expenditures are recorded as losses. He fails to mention that all of the other small biotechnology companies in the article incurred substantial losses for similar reasons. The author is correct, however, when he makes reference to the company's expectation of receiving revenue from the sale of Generex Oral-lyn(TM), the company's proprietary oral insulin spray product, by August 2006.

Generex also denies the author's statement that Generex is "a stock that faces the threat of delisting," with the claim that on November 15, 2005, the company announced that it had received written confirmation from the Nasdaq Stock Market that the company had achieved compliance with the continued listing requirements in accordance with Nasdaq Marketplace Rule 4310(c)(4). At the present time, Generex very comfortably meets all of the Nasdaq Stock Market quantitative continued listing requirements.

The article is correct when it states that the Antigen Express avian flu vaccine is in pre-clinical development (following a pre-IND meeting with the FDA on February 10, 2006) and that the Antigen Express breast cancer vaccine is in Phase 1 human clinical trials (at Walter Reed Army Medical Center).

"We do not seek to discourage critical review; however, we consider that such review should be based on accurate facts," stated Anna Gluskin, Generex's CEO. "The company made its executives available for the author to speak with. Unfortunately, whatever his underlying motives were, he chose to misstate and distort the facts thereby portraying the company in an unjustifiably negative manner."

Generex's stock was one of the day's 25 most active Nasdaq stocks, down 20.43% on volume of 35,838,571, over six times its average 5,725,380.

Concerning its new operation in Ecuador, Generex said a delivery and installation of a turnkey Generex Oral-lyn filling operation at the facilities of PharmaBrand, S.A. (www.pharmabrand.com.ec) in Quito, Ecuador, were completed. PharmaBrand is the Generex's joint venture partner for the commercialization of Generex Oral-lyn in Latin America. Generex Oral-lyn is designed to replace prandial subcutaneous injections of insulin by delivering insulin into the human body via a spray applied to the buccal mucosa using the company's proprietary RapidMist device.

A regulatory compliance and quality control team from Generex will attend at the PharmaBrand facilities early next month to assist in the training of PharmaBrand personnel in respect of the operation of the filling equipment. The company anticipates that the first commercial production run of 50,000 canisters of Generex Oral-lyn will be completed in April 2006. Prior to the commencement of that production run, PharmaBrand will have completed the training of its sales force in respect of the new diabetes treatment paradigm offered by Generex Oral-lyn's safe, simple, fast, effective, familiar, and pain-free alternative to prandial insulin injections for patients with either Type-1 or Type-2 diabetes.

The Generex team will also undertake an evaluation of the PharmaBrand manufacturing facilities with a view to assessing the prospect of utilizing those facilities for the production of proteins and peptides to support ongoing research and development in respect of the Antigen Express immunotherapeutic vaccines program.

Generex Biotech Corp. had enrolled in Investrend Research's unique and pioneering professional analyst program, which facilitates independent analysts to provide financial coverage for shareholders and investors in companies that otherwise would have little or no analyst following. Enrollment in standards-based research is an important measure of a company's commitment to transparency and Good Governance.

In a Focus Report initiated by Investrend Research analyst Shailesh Dhuri, the analyst stated on June 6, 2005, that the company "is working towards creating a potentially winning technology, with strong feature improvements over current options in the market."

Thanks for your comments on 3SOF and my blog Calven!

My GNBT outlook is in-sync with yours: A good entry point with strong support is around $2.5-2.6 which coincides with the high volume by price bars.

I'm patientily waiting for the chance to get on the GNBT boat~  :)

vic

GNBT now @ $2.78... I was planning on re-entering when it hits the $2.60's.  Any opinions considering the rather volatile performance as of late.

Also: I've only been trading for about 4 months and have checked out many forums and message boards but this one by far has the most proffesional and informative members. What I have learned about charts and trends is priceless and I hope to positively contribute as well in the future.
Carry On.

2.78 $ now.... ;)

Hi Calven and la-onda,

I will give you my input ;)

First of all, I truly believe that GNBT will hit new highs this year, I may be wrong, but I think the Bird Flu hype is not over yet.

I was monitoring GNBT since the first big red candle in order to plan an entry... My first option was the first support (not solid enough), now it's broken, and I'm pointing to $2.15/$2.25 level to stop this blood shed.

Another good way to look at this, is by comparing GNBT now with NVAX in November 2005, but taking in consideration the flu hype is now on a different stage (that would speed up the following development).

In attach two charts: GNBT and NVAX (highlighting the November sell off).

Best regards and keep up your excellent work on our boards (both of you) !!!  ;)

Thanks for your work also and your take on GNBT! I agree with everything you say and appreciate your post!

Now for my entry - With low comissions (4.99 for me) these days I believe in buying extremely speculative plays in a series (at least 2 or more buys) especially when trying to "catch the falling knife"  It can be extremely difficult to buy into these stocks near the bottom since they move so fast ,hence the reason for the series of buys 2-3. I usually take the first of my 2-3 buys at the upsloping trendline, then at a 61.8% FIB retracement level. The first of these two entry points was hit today. The next will likely be tested tomorrow... If we see 2.20's tomorrow I will definately be buying...
