Earnings tommorrow after hours.  I feel that good news is built into todays price and i am trying to sell half here at 7.30... I hope that i am wrong but my guess is that we will see low 6's or even 5's come friday or next week.
I recommend taking some profit while above 7.00... time will tell  HOM has been good to me, in since 2.20 and trading blocks since 4.30
cheers joe

nullzero

Terliso

Looks like HOM is due for correction for now..

REALDEALS21

Stock is getting killed with insider selling !

Home Solutions CEO/Chairman sells 156.5K shares at $11.36-11.67

HOM Chairman/CEO discloses additional sales of 343.5K shares at $11.49-12.50. This brings the total sale disclosed today to around 500K shares at $11.36-$12.50

Considering the market today HOM seems to be holding up. Management isnt really in tune with the stock market they picked the worst possible time to sell some shares when the stock market has been the decline.

Nullzero,

Are still holding HOM? I am down 18% and wondering if I should sell after so many down days.

Do you still think it will go up with hurricane season coming up?

thanks,
Lalitha

im down over 20% on HOM I broke my own rule and fell in love with the stock... now that im in this hole im holding for the the next couple months. Im going to sell for a loss if negative news comes out and earnings dont justify the price but atm it does. I wouldnt sell personally because it is down on no official news just some insiders selling some stock. I belive in 2 months we will look back at today and be thankful we havent sold. 11 can be taken out easily and +12 with any good news.

After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb. – Nelson Mandela

One big hill we reached the top of is IFO, hitting 30 today.  We are up over 100% on this one and should be looking for a time to take profits.  Let us preserve some assets!

Ethanol stocks were up and it looks like the market may be recovering.  In fact, if I held steady and did not sell last week, most of the quality stocks have bounced back – ADM, MGPI, and LDSH etc.  That is why it pays to buy quality and to preserve assets when the market falls.

INFA is getting close to 15 on a nice gain today, but I did not like the so/so volume.

I did like the performance of Copper miner, CUP.  It fell bad and bounced back to a hod on big volume.  I bought shares.  This is a positive sign that is typical of strong stocks. It opened at 4.16, fell to 3.82 and finished at about $4.61.

CHRS was up on good vol due to a nice report from Dress Barn and The Limited.  If it follows up on good vol, it may be one to watch.

I hate to admit it, but I bought that pumper of an oil sands stock, SOIGF.ob yesterday.  It was up 13% today.  I will keep it until it challenges my 10% profit.

I am a big fan of HOM and GV is one of my larger holdings.  Hurricane season is why:

Hurricane Plays: HOM, GV, GLBL, IPII, ABIX, WEL

[BRIEFING.COM -- Robert J. Reid] With hurricane season officially beginning today and with what is expected to be another harsh hurricane season, we wanted to highlight six small cap companies that would benefit from repairs/rebuilding: HOM, GV, GLBL, IPII, ABIX, WEL.

Home Solutions (HOM 10.66 +0.46)
HOM is probably the best known hurricane play as it's a provider of recovery, restoration and rebuilding to areas that are prone to flooding, hurricanes, tornados, fires etc.
Its operations are strategically located in areas prone to natural disasters including California, Texas, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi.
The co is profitable and expects to report revenue of $160-165 mln this year, up 138% yr/yr.
The stock has a fairly large float f 29.2 mln shares, but was the biggest mover of all as it rocketed from $1.80 in mid-July to $6.50 by mid-Nov.

Goldfield (GV 1.83 +0.24)
Goldfield installs and maintains electrical transmission lines for electric utilities in the southeastern US.
The financials look pretty good as the co is profitable and Q1 revenue rose 70% yoy to $8.2 mln.
The float is a bit big at 23.1 mln, but it's liquid at 551K avg volume.
The stock doubled from $0.75 to $1.50 when Katrina hit in late August.

Global Industries (GLBL 19.41 unch)
The co provides pipeline construction, platform installation/removal, and diving services to the oil & gas industry.
GLBL is based in Louisiana, where Hurricane Katrina hit.
Results continue to be impressive as Q1 revenue rose 79% yr/yr to $246.3 mln.
The stock is at a new 52-wk high, but still trades at a very reasonable forward p/e of 15.2x, only half its expected EPS growth rate next year of 33%.
The stock was a big mover last yr as it jumped from $9 to $15 in 3 months...

Imperial Industries (IPII 23.18 +0.35)
The co makes building materials such as stucco, plaster and roofing products, as well as gypsum wallboard, roofing and insulation products.
The co has said that the repairs of damaged property last year had a "major" favorable effect on demand.
It's worth noting that the co is based in Pompano Beach, FL and just about all sales are to southeastern states.
The co is profitable and posted revenue growth last year of 31% to $72.3 mln. Also, EPS over the past 3 years has grown from $0.28 in 2003 to $1.02 in 2004 and $1.34 in 2005.
Applying Q1's EPS growth rate (27%) for the full year, this computes to an EPS of $1.71 for a very reasonable p/e of 13.5x.
Recall that last year, the stock jumped nearly 100% (twice!): from early July to early Aug ($16 to $30) and after a pullback, jumped again from $16 to $29 when Katrina came by in late August.
Considering the stock's tiny 2.2 mln share float, we'd keep an eye on this one.

Abatix (ABIX 9.00 -0.20)
The co makes protective clothing and industrial cleanup supplies with distribution centers in Dallas and Houston, where Hurricane Rita hit last year.
The stock has a tiny float of 870K.
Stock was a big mover last summer when it doubled in one day in early Aug from $7 to $14.

Boots & Coots (WEL 1.69 +0.01)
The co provides oilfield services centered on the prevention, emergency response and restoration of blowouts and well fires.
In its Q4 report, the co said "The aftermath of the hurricanes in the Gulf is keeping our teams busy."
Of note, the co's prevention service segment was up 72% in 2005 at $13.9 mln and now represents 47% of sales up from 33% in 2004 and the co is profitable.
Its float has expanded to 29.4 mln, but it was a mover last summer, jumping from $0.80 to $1.60 in 6 weeks.

A lot to swallow, but it goes down smooth with a beer.  Snowy
