PENTAX Joins Growing Roster of Global Manufacturers Licensed to Use the Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) Portfolio; PENTAX Becomes Seventh Major System Manufacturer During 2006 to Purchase Rights to Use Fundamental MMP Portfolio Technologies
CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 28, 2006--Alliacense today announced that PENTAX Corporation has agreed to purchase, pending approval by its Board, a license to use the Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio. Six other major system manufacturers have purchased MMP licenses from The TPL Group this year. Prior licensees include HP, Casio, Fujitsu, Sony and Nikon as well as Seiko Epson, whose Board approved this week its earlier-announced agreement to purchase an MMP license.

"Our roster of MMP Portfolio licensees is beginning to look like the 'Who's Who' in the world of Intellectual Property," said Mac Leckrone, Alliacense president. "PENTAX along with prior licensees are each in their own right leading developers of intellectual property; and it is therefore gratifying to have them quickly recognize the import of the fundamental technologies protected by the MMP Portfolio."

With PENTAX becoming the seventh system manufacturer to purchase an MMP license in as many months, Leckrone added, "As the First Round MMP Portfolio licensing berths in many industry sectors are being captured, royalty rates are increasing according to plan. At this stage of our licensing program, we are continuing to focus on industry leaders whose management is empowered to make quick strategic business decisions."

The MMP Portfolio patents, filed by The TPL Group in the 1980s, cover techniques that enable higher performance and lower cost designs, and are fundamental to consumer and commercial digital systems ranging from DVD players, cell phones and portable music players, to communications infrastructure, medical equipment, and automobiles.

About the MMP Portfolio

Named after legendary inventor Charles "Chuck" Moore, the Moore Microprocessor Patent Portfolio includes seven US patents as well as their European and Japanese counterparts fundamental to the design of modern microprocessors, microcontrollers and system-on-chip devices. Developed in a joint venture between the TPL Group and Moore, the MMP Portfolio today is jointly owned by privately held TPL Group and publicly held Patriot Scientific Corporation (PTSC.OB).

NICE! ;D

I was hoping to be rich from PTSC by the beginning of the summer, but I guess I'll have to wait. That's ok though, its money in the bank. The deals are stacking up big time. I'll bet there'll be some kind of leak before year end results are released, and we'll be sure to see it reflected in the PPS

I think today could be a good day to buy.We will see....

I made my last buy at 99 cents and I thought that was a bargain. I'm drooling over the price of PTSC right now. I wish I had more cash to load up, and wait it out.

Nice 11% gain today. I'll take it.

well, i got in this one today...at $0.91, the volume is rising the last few days. the close of course could've been better.

resistance at 20 and 50 MA ($0.92 and $0.93 respectively)

seems to be close to a short term breakout once $0.93 is squashed. the MACD is ready to enter positive territory, just need one nice breakout day, and i say we are almost there. stochastics and RSI are also in an uptrend.

here's a chart.   8)

MACD ready to breakout to positive territory...always a good sign.

also broke thru' the downtrend line connecting highs of $1.51 and $1.21 on chart...

Olympus Purchases Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) Portfolio License; Olympus Becomes Eighth Major System Manufacturer This Year to Purchase Rights to Use Fundamental MMP Portfolio Technologies
CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 1, 2006--Alliacense today disclosed that Olympus Corporation has purchased a Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio license. Olympus follows in the footsteps of HP, Casio, Fujitsu, Sony, Nikon, Seiko Epson and Pentax, all of whom purchased an MMP license from The TPL Group this year.

''We welcome Olympus to our distinguished roster of MMP Portfolio licensees,'' said Mac Leckrone, Alliacense president. ''While Olympus is widely known for its outstanding line of digital cameras and precision imaging products, it has also emerged as one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-speed chemistry analyzers for medical laboratories.'' He noted that fundamental MMP technologies are being widely used in modern digital medical products.

With Olympus becoming the eighth system manufacturer to purchase an MMP license in 2006, Leckrone confirmed that MMP licensing rates can be expected to increase according to plan as ''first-mover'' MMP Portfolio licensing berths continue to be rapidly captured by global leaders. ''While we encourage all companies to contact us regarding MMP Portfolio Licensing opportunities, our licensing teams continue to focus on global leaders whose management is empowered to make quick strategic business decisions,'' he added.

The MMP Portfolio patents, filed by The TPL Group in the 1980s, cover techniques that enable higher performance and lower cost designs, and are fundamental to consumer and commercial digital systems ranging from DVD players, cell phones and portable music players to communications infrastructure, medical equipment and automobiles.

What are the chart experts thinking?

Looks like a strong bottom?

xxxxxxx

"Strong bottom ?"

Could be, but for sure there have been signs of major accumulation over the past 3 months.  I hold the stock, I'm looking for a test of the years' high before December.

xxxxxxx

JKN

I started accumulating at .85 and below.  I hope this will be a good long-term hold.

This thing is too compressed, she's gonna break up and out of her triangle.  I think she is done repairing her chart, excesses were removed, so it's now back to forward momentum.

Should not PTSC report earnings here soon?

I anticipate the same breakout.

gri64

Today we have a news and PTSCE reported delayed earnings.
Earnings and news are good (IMHO), and so we see breakout with Bullish Engulfing Pattern and, hope, reverse to uptrend.

Unfortunately, PTSCE closed on the Resistance 0.76.  :(
But in the end of May PTSCE was in the same zone and under many of resistance lines... Who knows, maybe we will see another crazy rally?
In any case, this firm has something real, not a fantastic idea or unrealistic projects...
