What do you mean by "we" ? Its one person (okay 2) who is staking his money and who has decided to try an experiment. "We" have nothing much to do with that other than study why David has chosen a particular stock and decide if and how are we going to trade the same stock.

These questions are for David and all the supporters of $1,000 to $1million project:

What if 100% gain takes 2 years?

I WOULD LOVE TO TURN $1,000 INTO $1,000,000 IN 20 YEARS!!! ;D

That would be a constant 50% yearly gain! :o

LiveLife:
I believe this is just personal challenge for David to turn $1,000 into $1,000,000. As stated, there is definitely risk involved, as David has advised to not follow. Also, by diversifying with such a small amount of money, it would be hard to see any exponential growth, which is the initial objective by reinvesting all capital for each individual trade. Investing $1,000 and getting 100%, and then reinvesting that capital would yield much higher gains. By spliiting the capital into 4 trades, you would need 4 100% gains to achieve the same amount of capital, which would be much harder. If you are looking for stop losses, diversification, and sells under/over 100%, then the 3 Stocks On Fire Portfolio seems much more suited for your needs. Of course, others are doing their own challenges in the $1,000,000 board, so you could possibly use Davids/Other Members/Your own picks and give it a try with your own spin.  :)

Here is the deal.

Had a long conversation with the CEO of HYRF.
I am Buying a ton of shares for HYRF and EYII here because :

-  The EYII Executives have been in China this week to in the words of the HYRF CEO,
To try and Finalize the deal.  Said Letter of Credit is what they are there to get.
This would be huge news for the price.

-  NO Other Companies are up for the bid, just HYRF product thru EYII
(Also Buying alot of EYII here as 50 Day Moving Average)
They get the Letter of Credit and no telling how high we go.

-  ONLY company with the MARTI system for the water

-  Now, HYRF is fine with or without the deal, so bought regardless
So many patents and deals in process

-  HYRF just had a large order (PR) that will hit the books

-  Chart came down from 38 cents or so recently

-  Great selection, David !

All I can do is go off of the conversation.  Recommend that you call him with any questions.
Many things can happen for a deal to not go thru, but he said very positive about the LOC.

Maybe a PR when they return from China.

Some things make me uneasy about EYII.

Their products are sold domestically via a marketing network, one of those "make money from home" structures that often (as in this case) stresses signing up new sales reps over actually moving product. See:

http://www.eyibusiness.com/bus_compplan3.html

Their primary product to now has been Calorad, a weight loss product containing collagen and aloe vera, that promises you will "lose weight while you sleep." Collagen is simply protein; aloe vera, when ingested, has a mild laxative affect, and can cause digestive distress. Critics say the only thing about the supplement that is likely to bring weight loss are the instructions that the supplement must be taken on an empty stomach hourse before bedtime, with no food taken until the next morning.

http://www.ultimatefatburner.com/scams/calorad.html

This sounds very familiar...in fact, a company called "Mark Nutritional" was fined $155 million for its marketing of a collagen weight loss supplement:

"Mark Nutritionals markets the Body Solutions Evening Weight Loss Formula, a liquid product that consumers are instructed to take before going to bed and at least three hours after eating or drinking. The product was advertised on more than 650 radio stations nationwide, and the radio spots featured testimonial endorsements from popular radio disk jockeys. The ads claimed that consumers who used the product could permanently lose substantial weight without diet or exercise, even while continuing to consume substantial amounts of high-calorie foods. In fact, the ad slogan for the product was 'lose weight while you sleep.' The Commission alleged that these claims were false and unsubstantiated. Can there really be much doubt? The Commission sought and obtained preliminary relief, including a stipulated preliminary injunction and an asset freeze.

The selling point for Code Blue is its ability to remove arsenic from drinking water. While this may be very important for China (I have not looked into it), in the US, all drinking water must contain less than 50 ppb (parts per billion) of arsenic. In 2006, these standards will be tightened up to 10 ppb, which will bring US standards in line with the World Health Organization's recommendations.  Outside of central California, parts of Nevada, New Mexico, and Arizona, US drinking water is largely already compliant with the WHO standard.

I may be a bit older than many here, but the 70s were rife with marketers who sold expensive filtration systems based upon pure scare tactics. EYII's network of ungoverned sales agents will inevitably tap the same well of fear to attempt to move product. Water filters, along with nutritional products, have long been a favorite product for pyramid schemers, as can be verified by doing a search for "water filters" in the consumers' section of the FTC websie:

http://www.ftc.gov

I've only lightly researched the company, but felt I should share these first findings without delay.

I suspect that these LOIs, which cost no one any commitment, may not be sufficient basis on which to venture real cash money.

Even if all my worst fears are true, this could still be a profitable play. For anyone who does go forward, I believe extreme caution is in order.
If you must smite, post why so I can improve myself.

Robt,

Informative post.

Most pennies are full of Red Flags.

I too am skeptical of Multi-Level marketing companies.

That said,
the recent Domestic order for EYII and HYRF and the TA analysis provide a strong buy, IMO.
It is just beginning.  Built in sales reps will push the Code Blue very hard because of the residual income opportunity with the filters.

Watch the CEO interviews, interesting.  Buying more at this level.  They have a product, and that says alot for most pennies.   ;D

Keep up the helpful posts.

It would actually be approx. 41.25% return per year.  (The interest is compounding.):

1,000(1.4125...)^20=1,000,000

Of course I realize that the use of MLM doesn't preclude income. What most persuades me to sit this out are the questions raised by the Calorad product, reviving something that drew such heavy fire from the FDA; equally alarming are the anti-cancer claims made about Definition, a cream whose chief design is to firm, size-enhance and otherwise beautify the female breast.

If the principals of this company believe in their own products, more power to them, but I am disinclined to get on their team. If they do not believe in these products, then I must wonder whether these LOIs are not selling tools for another cynically offered product, the company stock.

Then, too, there is the recent quarterly report, an altogether unpleasant read.

There are too many other opportunities for me to find this attractive under such circumstances. I also feel very strongly that, given these circumstances, marriage to a "double or nothing" prospect is unwise, in that I feel protecting profits in such a situation will, in most cases, prove more beneficial than letting them run.
If you must smite, post why so I can improve myself.

Robt,

Since this is David's experiment, perhaps we should let him be the final judge in this.  :D

I have already been reminded of this fact before - David has set some guidelines (10 trades with 100% gain).  ;)

We as observers or "casual participants" may have our own opinions, but this is David's experiment.

He bought in at $0.16 and won't sell until it hits $0.32.  Period.  Those are his rules.  ;D

Livelife,

There is no question that David remains final arbiter of the disposition of his positions and his funds.

I have only offered information + opinion. My motivation is not to get David to surrender his $1000 position, but to offer strong caution to others considering this investment, with funds that may total well beyond that sum, and who may not be aware of the particulars that I have raised.

Everyone will act according to their own will. What I have raised may be unpleasant, but better to have such unpleasantries raised than to invest without regard to such matters, is that not so?

While the rules David has set down are fine with me, they are also his rules to set aside if he chooses, should  appropriate circumstances arise. Of course, he alone is the judge of what "appropriate circumstances" may be.

For this experiment, he has deliberately set aside the flexibility that he has frequently reminded us  is requisite in a trader. Without disrespect for his rules, I nevertheless would urge that he reintroduce some flexibility in this instance, if genuine evidence surfaces to show that these LOIs are less than genuine, or that EYII is not entirely on the up-and-up.

If EYII is not "playing by the rules," it is simply wrong to surrender one's funds to them simply in order to adhere to one's own arbitrary rule.

But you are correct, this remains David's call to make. I never suggested otherwise.

None of this precludes the possibility that he may actually double his investment; if so, I will applaud his accomplishment as much as anyone.
If you must smite, post why so I can improve myself.

Well, after watching HYRF take off and selling too early (.30), I wanted to get back in on the water filter market but feel that HYRF doesn't have as much upside as EYII does, simply due to the current prices.  EYII has been largely overlooked while HYRF has gotten all of the attention by the market, but that is bound to change at some point.  I am in EYII at .07.
