1) EXFO (EXFO Electro Optical Engineering Inc)

2) While scanning some stocks today looking for ascending triangles I found EXFO. I haven't competed in this contest before and won't have tiime to scan stocks this weekend so I'll go with it. Strong breakout today from the 6.71 resistance. No resistance overhead. Plenty of volume with the breakout. Average volume is 102k so it just makes the requirements. Also bullish MACD with nice crossover. Analyst targets are between 5.50 and 8.00 with the majority issuing a buy rating.

Good luck to whoever chose MBAY as it was my first pick.  Hopefully SVA will be the eventual winner  >:D >:D

1)  SVA ---- SINOVAC BIOTECH LTD

2)  Sinovac has been hammered lately for the past few months.  I think it is time for a turnaround.  It has bounced off the support level established in June 05, AND there is a wolvewave pattern that has formed of late.  Based on this and the fact that they should have preliminary results of their clinical trials for bird flu vaccine due out in march should give rise to Sinovac's stock value for the coming month.

3)
Current Holdings:  ASTM, STV, SVA, NIHK.ob

1) Stock Pick:
BGO:  Bema Gold Corp (AMEX: BGO)

2) Reason behind the pick:

Although the stink DROOY mess me up big last contest, still get 10%+ profit in my real trading. You can not lose on trading gold stock under such kind of enviroment. This time I pick BGO in case gold going crazy again in the coming spring.

The gold market has been drifting for the past few weeks as it consolidates its recent gains. After a brief flirt with the $535 support the gold price has rebounded back above $550 and ready to attack $570+ again, silver created 20-year new high this week. Oil refuse going down and Dollar looks weak recently. inflation is picking up again. I bet another bull run is here to come. don't get surprise if one day you get up, gold print $600 suddenly.

BGO is resuming it's uptrend and continue outperforming $HUI index for weeks. who knows how high it will go?

DYMTF  Dynamotive for me.  Had breakout type volume this week with a news release imminent. (Rumor that I will buy).  Supposedly this deal involves Mitsubishi Heavy industries.  Besides that the alternative energy sector has been doing quite well lately.. Also last week they were certified by the EPC which is an imp. step in legal and regulatory recognition of Biooil. I know some might question this pick with the run it has had the last few days buy I believe it will continue into next week.  That volume is telling me to hold on tight just a while longer.

NICH: Nitches

I like the company for the following reasons:

1. Microcap, profitable co.

2. Undervalued

3. Davids Pick

4. Near 52 week high

5. Comes strongly on my mock random filter ;)

6. I like the sector and brand name of Dockers for which the Co. has supply license.

The company sells women's clothing wholesale to retailers such as Kohl's Corp. and Stein Mart Inc., in October acquired a remaining 72 percent stake of lingerie company Designer Intimates Inc. In the first quarter, which ended Nov. 30, new business from Designer Intimates contributed $6.4 million to Nitches sales.

Nitches swung to a profit of $520,000, or 42 cents per share, from the year-ago quarter's loss of $12,000, or 1 cent per share. Sales jumped to $14.7 million from $6.3 million a year earlier.

I will buy 10% of my portfolio in this pick, at Monday Open.

Goodluck all.

:)

     1. my pick is PTII.OB, Patch International Inc.

     2. Junior oil/gas with outstanding background:

         - float only 3 M, outstanding shares 5 M....
         - they have money, no need for dilution, no PP..!!!
         - recent start of Oil-sands Consortium in Alberta, they will start APEC...!
         - they will present in NY on Mar 8, small cap investors meeting....
         - talks in progress in N. Africa ( incl. Libya ), and Bolivia
         - excellent management, "they will have a lot of news in 2006".....
         - oil-sands will replace OPEC...
         - PTII is almost at 52 wks high, but in my opinion will go much higher after Mar 8...

I do not know how to post the chart on this board, so I will just incl. two web sites where you can see the charts:

My pick is PPHM

Spring is often the time when biotechs shine and I like PPHM's technical setup. On the long term chart posted below, I see a similar setup now to 3 years ago, when PPHM went from a swing low of $.46 to a swing high of $2.12 in two months. The volume in Feb-Mar 2006 hadn't been seen since May-Jun 2003. On the short-term chart, PPHM is consolidating in a big flag formation. Friday's close near the low end of the channel means I get a good entry price in this contest, and entry point is an important factor in a one-month contest.

Peregrine Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, engages in the research, development, manufacture, and commercialization of biotherapeutics for the treatment of cancer, viruses, and other diseases using targeted antibodies. The company's products portfolio includes Cotara for brain cancer, which is in Phase II/III registration trial, and Tarvacin, an anti-phospholipid therapy agent for the treatment of solid tumors and chronic hepatitis C virus infection.
GO IN THAT HOUSE OF PAIN THAT YOU SEEM TO WANT TO BE IN, BUT GET AWAY FROM ME.  I'M TRYING TO WORK, DAMMIT.

1)   Stock Pick
Ticker YMI
Company: YM BioSciences

2)   Reason behind this pick
This company has a good pipeline in the drug research. And has 17 million cash, and just 210 millions market cap. I am looking for a breakout. We have got an ascending triangle with strong volume a matter of time we break 6 the chart is ready to rock. It seems this company is not on the radar yet and so well known.

YM BioSciences, Inc., a development stage biopharmaceutical company, engages in the research and development of products primarily for the treatment of cancer. Its product candidates in the clinical stage of development include Tesmilifene, Nimotuzumab, AeroLEF, Norelin, and Radiotheracim. Tesmilifene, which is in phase III clinical trial, is a small molecule chemopotentiator for the treatment of metastatic and recurrent breast cancer. Nimotuzumab, which is in phase II clinical trial, is an antiepidermal growth factor humanized monoclonal antibody for the treatment of epithelial cancers. AeroLEF, which is in phase II clinical trials, is a proprietary formulation of both free and liposome-encapsulated fentanyl administered by pulmonary inhalation, is being developed for the treatment of severe and moderate acute pain and cancer pain. Norelin is a phase II clinical trial product for the treatment of sex-hormone dependent cancers. Radiotheracim is a radiolabelled humanized monoclonal antibody, targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor, and is being developed for the treatment of brain cancers. The company also has a portfolio of preclinical compounds shown to act as chemopotentiators while protecting normal cells. YM BioSciences has a collaborative agreement with Sanofi-Aventis to investigate the effect of combining tesmilifene and docetaxel for the treatment of women with rapidly progressing metastatic breast cancer. The company was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Mississauga, Canada.

1) My Pick: UIS     Unisys Corporation

Unisys Corporation provides information technology (IT) services and solutions to businesses and governments worldwide.

2) Reasons: Strong ascending trendline since lows of Oct/05. Three upper gaps in chart at 6.72, 9.40 and 11.45 - the 6.72 gap was filled just at end of January. Resistance to be overcome in the 7.00 range but after that it is clear sailing all the way to the 9.40 gap. The 200 day moving average is flattening out and Macd and DMI are moderately bullish.
Lets go for the gaps!

3) Charts:

1) CRAY
2) My pick is CRAY because I have lost more money on this stock than any other. I fell in love with it a couple of years ago, and henceforth it fell for me. I mean fell. Anyway lesson learnt. Cray is in a turn around mode as we all know. Tech is presently hot. They make very fast computers with huge capacity. These computers are in greater demand, but the market is very competitive, so cost is a major aspect. I'm hoping for a run to $2.75 an then to fill the gap for a win in this contest. I took half a position in this on friday, I hope CRAY didn't notice. Good luck to all!
