I think the weak dollar could really help CIMT's earnings, at this time last year 1€ was worth around 1.27$, today 1€ = 1,42$, that's around 12% more ...

So for example if they have the same earnings as last years QTR, they would still have (12%) more because of the weaker dollar(stronger Euro) since they publish results in $, right?  ::)

Right ;)

We'll see if they're there today too. Anyway, I don't expect CIMT to move much before the 3rd quarter earnings release, scheduled to happen before November 15.

I'll patiently continue holding CIMT.

Terliso

CIMT might close the gap in the earnings release. ;)

Hi Terliso, nice to see you :)

I'm hoping for more but I agree with you, probably the news won't be strong enough for CIMT to open above $3.54 and never look back on its way North. It seems it is easier for the market to make huge gap downs than huge gap ups.

Anyway, if the stock trends higher over the long term and achieves something near my optimal selling price of $15.67, we'll be allright 8)

I'll keep holding CIMT for the long term.

good morning!
we just had some press release about CIMT.

I like this part which I think its the most important part of it.
Quote"China represents a significant growth opportunity for Cimatron," said Danny Haran, CEO and President. "Holding our global conference here is another evidence to the strength of our commitment to this market."

The stock responded by hitting $3!! On a super-heavy volume (for CIMT) of 57000 shares! >:D

I'm glad this one's moving because i have seller's remorse for letting nvtl and swir go last week.

Earnings leak ...?!  ;D

I guess today's advance has to do with the "China" word :) (thanks pinoleropuro)

• Cimatron Holds Global Annual Conference in China
PR Newswire (Mon 6:39am)

Microcaps sometimes need this kind of impulse.

Yeah, me too, if I had been a bit more patient with NVTL and SWIR the Main would now be closer to a 40% gain for the year :-[

The following press release was CIMT's canoe to row out of the patience island:

• Cimatron Holds Global Annual Conference in China
PR Newswire (Mon 6:39am)

Investors saw the word "China" and got encouraged by the CEO's comments:

«"China represents a significant growth opportunity for Cimatron," said Danny Haran, CEO and President. "Holding our global conference here is another evidence to the strength of our commitment to this market."»

... especially after checking that the company made $0.14 EPS over the last three quarters ($0.187 annualized), so at yesterday's close CIMT was trading at 14.3 times earnings, which is quite cheap for a software company promising strong growth in China.

CIMT is now in the "gap zone", which will only be closed at $3.54. The higher it goes before the earnings release the better, because if then there's a positive surprise it will jump from a higher level ... and if there's a disappointment, it is better to feel a profit shrinking than a growing loss.

I'll keep on holding CIMT for the long term.

I started posting again today on the Yahoo Message Boards, and I see a few others here have been posting recently as well.  It will help a bit to keep the troll under control till earnings release.

Chart looks really bullish now, "CIMTly Beautiful" lol. ;)

I must say, yuki had me going there a little bit when he was a member of the board. but I said to my self there is no way I am going to be paying a membership to the service David provides with such a proven record. I held on and although I was down all the way to 25% at one point I kept reading religiously and now David you have more than proven your self.
Muchisimas gracias David, now I'll be able to afford the diapers and formula for my new baby that should be here in another 6 to 8 weeks.
;D

now if PFSW does the same thing CIMT is doing I'll be really happy.  ;) ;D

Terliso

The daily chart of CIMT became bullish... he he ;)

Nice to see CIMT back in the green for the main portfolio today too.

CIMT could even fill the gap this week for all we know.  The chart Terliso posted is the weekly chart, but the candle today is just the first day of this week.  Also, I saw a trade go through at 3.11 on my Etrade screen right at end of the day today, not sure why it didnt register as the final trade, but it looked like buying was being sustained into the close.

Management is playing the China card again with today's press release, that is what got us to $4.73 the last time.  But now it may be even stronger because Chinese stocks are on fire more than usual recently.

Mix all this with a good earnings report and we can really see some fireworks, and CIMTly beautiful fireworks at that!  ;) >:D

Cimatron Jumps 15% Off Strong Conference Call
posted on: October 31, 2007 | about stocks: CIMT

As we've said repeatedly, Israel has a stable of really interesting microcap/smallcap companies trading under most investors' radars. Cimatron (CIMT) is one of these plays that is worth a look.

Sporting a micro-cap of less than $25M, Cimatron provides investors with a profitable microcap with cash on the books, and which is poised to see some nice growth in the future. CIMT competes in the competitive CAD/CAM space for the tooling and manufacturing vertical. As much of manufacturing is pushed offshore, Cimatron continues to see nice growth from foreign markets — so much so, that it's purchase two tranches of its Italian distributor, Microsystem, with a call option to purchase the remaining shares.

Cimatron was up almost 15% on Monday (and over 125% on the year) off of the strength of its conference call, that was held in China.

I thought it'd be useful to highlight some points from the conference call that got the market so excited:

  # Microsystem had $10.5M in revenue in 2006 and poised to continue to grow profitably. Looks like earnings will become accretive in Q32007.
  # Launch of Cimatron 8.0 appears to be really interesting for the company, as it positions them in a new market, the die design market. The company expects organic growth from this new target market in the quarters ahead.
  # In terms of geographical sales, CIMT sells 57% in Europe, 23% in the Asia Pacific, 12% in North America and 8% in the rest of the world.
  # The company said that they are focused on increasing shareholder value. Look for some more M&A in the future.
