One more post:

In last year's MSN "Strategy Lab Open" competition, my real return is only 45.88% in 4 months.

I felt that I can do it better and decided to develop a better system. I spent 3 months to develop it and use this platform to test it here from 3/28/2008 and moved it into my blog later.

Now it already lasted 17 weeks.

The system consists 3 parts:

1. stock selection - which stocks have the best chance to gain 2% in one week
2. buy point - I prefer to buy at open gap down not gap up. I can wait for few hours after market open to reach my buy point.

3. sell - most of times, I will follow my stop-loss and profit-taking rule using computerized trading program but I can disable it when I felt I should (machine is still behind human being sometime).

Among 3 parts, the first one, of course,  is the most important one.

May be some of you having questions on some of my trades as I already expected, but I think  that only counts less than 5% of the total trades and that will not affect the overall portfolio performance after 17 weeks of tests.

I give all my planned picks one day ahead of time. Everyone has the time to look into it.

You can also look at the price trend one week after my picks to see whether the stock has reached my 2% profit target during the week.

That will be the most important part.

I will not use the result here to claim that I am the best.

I only use:

1. the real world competition result (you compete with many smart people under the same condition);

2. the real trading account result;

to claim that I am the best if I can win.

Here are some brief rules for the competition:

1. no short is allowed, only long;

2. no penny stock is allowed; only stocks from three main markets;

3. only one tenth of market volume can get you in. For example, if you want to buy/sell 1000 share of a stock, the real volume has to have 10,000 after you placed the order before your order can be filled. If a stock real volume is very low, your order may never be filled. They want you to buy high volume stocks.

4. no stock can take  more than 10% of weigh on your portfolio.

etc.

Are you aardvark? If so, as the winner of the qualifying round, why were you disqualified from any prizes AND disqualified from winning an entry into the actual Strategy Lab?? If it was for what I believe, you'll never make it past the qualifying round, no matter what your game playing results are.

Thanks for the invite, but I don't play those kind of games

Have fun anyway

No, I am not. I did not register for this round SLO at all. As I said that I wanted to get better result and spend 3 months to have designed a new trading system.

I will use the new system for next round SLO.

I was the top finisher in previous round SLO but was not selected to be in Strategy Lab.

Vad Yazvinski was selected even his return was only 33%+. Because his blog posts were very popular, which had a overall weight of 40%. Real investment return weight 40%. Interview another 20%.

By the way: I forgot: you have to be US citizen (or US green card holder?) to be in SLO.

Q - 3.74 (ML upgrade this morning)
AUY - 10.58 (gold price continues sliding)

Any questions about this round of trades (BGC - traded as high as 56.74 today, SOLF, Q, AUY), please let me know. 1 loser, 4 winers.

Also any questions about last round of trades (GME, GIGM, TSL - traded as high as 28.78 yesterday, XOM) please let me know. 1 loser, 1 even, 3 winers.

Interesting: I found out that there is always at least one big winer (>5% gain in 1-2 days) in each round of picks.

By the way, I have no way to manipulate the stock price at all. Only big players can do that. All my picks have big average daily trading volumes.

Penny stocks may be the one subject to manipulation by small players?

I checked my blog entries, SINA was bought at 40.90 not 40.80 as posted in the blog but when we edit the table, it entered as 40.80, wrong typing and wrong calculation.
As a result, I deducted one point to my associate (she is a very good looking girl and works in Beijing China. may be, she is too concentrate on Olympics).

Here is week 17 result:

mini Fund net profit for this round of trades: +$4,843.90, net return: +2.36%.

mini Fund net profit for the week: +$11,491,  net return for the week: +5.79%.

mini Fund total return 17 weeks: 109.85%

From $100,000 in 3/28/2008 to $209,000+ in 17 weeks.
Not a very big achievement, but I need stable consistent profit, not gambling, speculation, big up/downs.

This is the kind of system I wanted. Of course, modifications will be made for 10-12 stock pickings in one million dollar account.

I am also considering non-stopping streaming trades. That is, whenever I closed one trade, I will start a new one, not waiting for all current picks closed as I did here. To do so, I need at least 20 candidates waiting for the line for me to pick up.

Next week 5 picks will be given Sunday night for all of you to look at and do your own DD.

I will test my system until the next round of SLO starts.

BigSully1

I believe you are aardvark. If you are not then which one are you? You've nothing to hide right?

Why do you leave X out of your question welcoming? You still never explained the miracle of selling X at $147.35

wpSoft2008

Hi, BigSully1:

1. The reason:

For SINA and X, I already made several posts.

SINA - please see my previous posts here.

X - I made several posts for X in my blog, not here. When the market crushed Monday and X was at 139, I said that holding all stocks including X and I believe that I can make X break-even and that was what happened Tuesday. I did make it break-even.

2. Why  I am not aardvark:

The following is the link about the last year's first ever SLO top five final result

http://www.*******.net/SLOFinal.htm

and here is the link of my interview by SLO committee Dec 14, 2007 (there was a phone interview later):

What does Monday and Tuesday have to do with it, when you tried to weasle out of getting stopped out of both TSL and X Monday/Tuesday and then claimed Wednesday afternoon that you were still holding all 5 positions WEDNESDAY at 2:35P.M. and then After the close WED you then claimed to have closed all positions.  X never made it back to $147.35. Will you now try to modify your posts again?

And the B.S. just keeps getting deeper.

BigSully1

I purposely put SINA on the message board yesterday as an ER loser even though the ER was not particularly bad. I put it there hoping others would take a closer look at your SINA buy and then some of your other purported trades.

Are you also the former shawfund that used to post here? Was that an attempt to get people to believe you are affiliated with the infamous D.E. Shaw (hedge) fund?

I find it very sad  that you are such a master of deceit and little else.

I caught on to you long ago and I hope 3SOF moderators and other good people will also before  further endorsing your activities further and possibly injuring more innocent people.

I think it would be an extreme disservice to readers to for 3SOF to continue to endorse your tactics here . And thats my opinion.

wpSoft2008

HI, Bigselly1

If I sold any stock, I will post it each and ever time. Please let me know which case I sold a stock but did not post it. Give me a case.

I did not post Monday because I did not sell at all. That is simple.

If you know Chinese, please read my post on my blog again:

I posted in my blog Tuesday morning (2008-08-5)  in which I said that I did not sell any of the stocks I was holding even though X already reached stop-loss limit Monday.  Please check my blog again.

I also said in the same post that X is the world leader in steel and iron, not sell on panic,  the selloff is sell-on-good-news and it is way oversold and will be rebound to there it was later.

On TSL -

1. the same as I said that  I did not sell on Monday and Tuesday in my blog. I sold Wednesday and I posted it.

2. Actually TSL did not even reach true stop-loss limit as X did in real case as I closely monitored the trades.

Tell you the truth, I did have bought TSL at 26.93 Monday morning and then put a stop-loss order for TSL at 25.85 in my real account Monday.

But as I saw TSL approached 25.85, I canceled the order. Instead, I doubled my position on TSL at 25.97. I played a trick on market maker.

On Monday and Tuesday, TSL did have some trades at 25.85 but only touched it on a total of 100 shares and immediately back up. I have about 1.5k shares then (became 3k after doubling).  As I said that 26 is the strong support on TSL.

For SINA, I posted buy price and sell price on my blog on time. What is wrong with it?

Is there is anything wrong I gave stock picks ahead of time?

Is there anything wrong on my buy/sells on SINA? on BGC? on SOLF? or Q or on AUY?

Is there anything wrong I sold all my holdings Wednesday on my first five picks as I posted in my blog on GME? on TSL? on XOM? on GIGM? and on X.

For  SINA ER, they gave very good numbers, better than expectations.

Gap down is a good entry point. Next week it will go up. I will make it one of my next week's picks.

As for D.E Shaw Fund, I do not know what you are talking about?  Keep guessing.

I do manage a hedge fund but it is from China nothing related to US Shaw Fund. I know nothing about it.

I do not know what you are talking about my identify as aarvark either, another guessing.

I already give you my identify, my real name. I have nothing to hide.

Please let me know what is yours? I do think that you are Chinese because I smile another culture revolution here.

Now I want to have a vote here:

If there are more than 10 people who agree with you that I have problems on my ten picks and buy/sell prices, then this will be my last post on this site.

The ten picks are

TSL, GME, GIGM, X, XOM and
SINA, BGC, SOLF, Q, AUY.

Please give a vote.

In fact, I want to make it more strict:

If by Sunday night, I did not see 10 or more people who want me continue posting the picks here, I will not continue and this will be the last one as a result.

Will be back Sunday night.

wpSoft2008

I want a vote:

Any of you want me to continue posting my 5 picks every Sunday night?

If I did not see 10 or more people who want me doing so, I will not continue and this will be the last one as a result.

Will be back Sunday night to check the response.

Thanks.

Hi, AussieTrader:

I have decided to stop posting on this site.

It is just a waste of time for me.

I have my own blog now and I can do everything there and there is no need to do anything here.

I have deleted all my posts in this thread. If possible, I authorize you to  delete the thread altogether (I created).

The only purpose for the website existence is to make money.

Everyone wants to make money in stock market.

But the fact is that 90% of investors will loose money no matter it is bull or bear market.

I wish that your service can bring big real money to your subscribers.

Bye Bye.

BigSully1

I figured you would delete your posts yet AGAIN.

And I know why you ask to now have the entire thread deleted.

This is a public thread and no matter that you started the thread, what right do have to ask the entire thread be deleted? What you would really like is for my posts to be deleted.

I do not wish to have my posts deleted from this thread or the thread deleted in totality. I wish them to remain public record and would take great insult if the posts or the thread is removed.

If this thread is deleted, I would assume that 3SOF does endorse your sickeningly deceitful tactics, giving you free reign to start all over with a new thread, and back you would be, I have no doubts.

If the moderators do decide to delete this thread, I ask that they also delete all threads, in their entirety I have ever started, and I will no longer be a contibutor of 3SoF in any way whatsoever.

AussieTrader

No thread will be deleted BigSully1, why would we want to do that? In fact probably I will try and restructure the thread with all deleted posts back in original position (otherwise the conversation is somewhat meaningless as it has no flow of question - answer.

We know WPSoft is Shawfund and I am prepared to give benefit of the doubt wherever possible, he has had some good trading outcomes, but with any forum such as this it is always difficult to trace exact profit claims and their were some which as you point out need investigation. If indeed he has a system that is as profitable as he claims then best of luck to him. Jeez there are some trades I have recommended that I wish I didn't, but they are always there to be seen and scrutinized,  that integrity is what is expected especially in the Premium access part of our community.

Here at 3SoF we are all about honesty, integrity and sharing of ideas, knowledge and hopefully profit and some fun.  BigSully you are an integral part of that contribution, so don't go away any time soon  ;)

Aussie you were right.........this "oneWeek2percent system" guy is definitely shawfund.

Is the site still working?

I looked at the blog, the total returns is at 1,050% now from 3/28/2008.  Is it real?
